I was disappointed at first

By Norman Plankey from Western CT and adjacent NY on December 15, 2023 Music Background: Hot swinging fiddle tunes, some Django, 1920s, 1930s, 1940s popular tunes

I was hoping for pure, uncolored tone with extra gain but that was not happening. I play guitar in acoustic situations with light sound reinforcement -- I felt the need for a boost, given that I am usually the rhythm guy so when I solo, a lot of that general background sound disappears while the others try to play subdued, legato fills. I began to think my dynamic range was blown out of the water with me cranking single note lines at maximum power and zero light, soft phrasing. So I bought this pedal.
At first, I plugged my guitar into the RUSH but found no amount of added gain would not add lots of color (and not good color, kind of grayish blah). Then somewhere I read that using the amp's effects loop was a better option... YAHOO! That was what I needed-exactly what I was hoping for. So, go for it!
Also, I was attracted to this pedal for the 9v option: I understand many guitarists use pedal boards and have power sources at their feet but not me: I have a bunch of pedals that I use but rarely, at best.
So if you want to boost your Martin, Taylor, Gibson SJ through your AER, this a great affordable option>

It's a Rush

By Scott on June 20, 2023

What can I say. It boosts and it's clean. Works as it's supposed to.

Boost-a-move

By Byrdmu from Downey, CA on May 5, 2023 Music Background: Amateur songwriter, church choir, guitar enthusiast

The TC Electronic "RUSH" is an inexpensive, but not cheap, way to push your initial guitar signal through your chain efficiently and cleanly. This is the cleanest boost I've heard with no perceivable change to your tone. Word of advice: set your boost before you adjust any following pedals, because a little RUSH adds a big push!

Clean Boost

By Terry Hoffman from Kansas on April 17, 2023 Music Background: Professional Musician Singer Song Writer

I was looking for a clean boost pedal. TC Electric already earned my interest by making the Quintessence Harmony pedal. Excellent quality and, decent pricing. This pedal is perfect for my needs. Built like a tank, No coloration of sound, I like the in and out and the 9v connections on the front of the pedal. Works flawlessly. Highly recommend this pedal to anyone looking for a clean boost and, there is plenty increase, 20db if you want or need that much.

Rush booster

Loving this pedal. Its discreet and does exactly what I wanted to push my sound a bit without changing my tone.

Next best thing to a sound tech

By Craig on September 14, 2022 Music Background: Hard rock, metal, classic rock

After lots of research I found the best way to boost my solos was to run a booster pedal thru my effects loop. TC electronic's RUSH pedal does the trick perfectly and couldn't be simpler. I only need to set the level at about 8 or 9 o'clock and it adds just enough to cut thru the mix, all without altering my tone… in fact, it actually enhances it! Very strong product!

Simple and effective

By Sweetwater Customer on August 2, 2022

Extremely simple to use, strong build with the metal casing, and has a LOT of gain. Says +20db which is way more than I need. Gets the job done

Cleasest boost pedal I've found

By Mike B from Denver, CO on September 26, 2023 Music Background: lifelong hobbiest

I compared a few boost pedals, and this was the only one that didn't add any coloration. I most often use it to increase the output of weaker guitars. It's also great for pushing a Marshall's input, which sounds different than, say, turning up the amp's gain. (Both have their place.) I rarely use this above 9 o'clock. I have a treble booster and an EP Booster if I want boosts that add color or compression. This is just an indispensable tool in my toolbox. My only beef is its footprint; it should be smaller.

Nice boost!

By Melody from Marietta on June 6, 2023

Pros- It's simple!!! It does exactly what it's supposed to do so you will definitely be happy with this product.

Cons- This pedal definitely uses up more space on my pedalboard than my other pedals. Also, I'm not a big fan of having my input and output right next to each other. My pedalboard is nice and neat and then there's my boost pedal...

Thanks to my sales rep, I received my order in record time. Thank you Drew Foster!
