Fender Rumble 25 1 x 8-inch 25-watt Bass Combo Amp
Fender Rumble 25 1 x 8-inch 25-watt Bass Combo Amp Reviews
Fender gives bassists of all levels a solid amp that can handle anything. Plug into the Fender Rumble 25 for serious bass tone in a compact package! This black beauty offers a basement-friendly 25 watts, complete with overdrive, so you can bring the perfect amount of crunch into your sound.
Amazing little amp!
Beautiful little home amp! Best customer service I've ever experienced!
Great Amp
Beautiful little bass amp at a great price.
Very impressive for the price point and super versitile
I needed a back up for my Rumble 40 so I could leave it at 1 of my rehearsal spaces, so I figured I would try the Rumble 25 for when I travel to other locations.
So far it is excellent. I use them both to play keys and monitor electronic tracks as well as play bass. While the 40 has a bit more low end (and XLR out if you need it), I kinda think the 25 kicks and is super loud for it's size. It handles the electronic drums and synths as well as any Roland KC series I have ever owned back in olden days, but way cheaper and lighter. The weight of things has become really important as I get closer to death.
(also no shade to Roland, all my synths are Roland, but I am done with "keyboard" amps)
For a live show the 40 is probably better for bass, but I like the tighter sound of the smaller speaker for certain styles of music.
Either way, just get a tiny wedge to tilt the amp slightly up towards you and you can hear everything perfectly with out having to blast the volume. (You should do this with any combo amp. Your legs do not require the sound as much as your head does)
Anyway, really solid sound and build. I do not think you can do better for the price.

Fantastic amp for home. My grandson loves it
Old bass player
As we've gotten older our gear has gotten heavier and we still have that desire to entertain, so adjustments have to be made and this new little Fender amp does the job for smaller gigs amazingly. Thank you Mike Godlove and Sweetwater "Life after Eighty is Great."
Great value for excellent amp!
Sooooo happy with my purchase and the staff was quick to reach out to insure I was satisfied with everything. Will absolutely buy again from Sweetwater?
Great product and value
This was a gift so we only had a chance to plug in the bass, power it on, and test it. It sounded good. It seems well constructed, is relatively light weight and has a sturdy carrying strap that makes it easily transportable. It's perfect for teaching in the classroom setting. Also, it was packaged very securely for shipping and arrived quickly from Sweetwater. Customer service from Sweetwater is excellent! Very satisfied with tbis product and recommend it.
This is the practice bass amp you need...........
I bought this amp after returning the Rumble 15. The 15 is more like a practice amp for guitar: very little bass and way too much mids that you can't really cut. I was pleasantly surprised when I plugged into the Rumble 25. It provides a real bass amp sound: deep lows (without diming the BASS knob), big mid adjustment (with a scoop if desired) and plenty of highs. I will never gig with this as I have a big rig but this is perfect for bedroom practice. I can rattle stuff off the top of my dresser. You might be able to play a low volume double bass gig with this amp. I can't recommend this amp enough for practice. It's great.
Liked It Right Out of the Box!
Solid amp!
My first thought after turning it on and playing was, 'that's what a small Bass guitar amp should sound like'
It's surprisingly loud for 25 watts, too.
Good fit
I'm a guitar player trying to get my 10 year old son interested in music. He expressed interest in a bass so I picked up a short scale mustang and this amp. I like this one over the 25 because it can fill his bedroom without tearing the house down. It has the headroom, fullness of sound, and good controls to shape the sound. I like the overdrive feature as well.
Works great for this guy
I'm new to playing bass so this is my first amp. But it does all I need it to do and doesn't look like a kids toy.
Good little amp… more useful than I thought it’d be.
Good little amp. Initially got it for keeping in my office, but realized it had some utility when combined with a fly rig style pedal. I go DI, with in ear monitors, but have this on stage near myself and the keyboardist just to move a little air and help us feel the bass and the pops on slap a little better than IEMs. I just have it fed by the amp out on the pedal, whisk the pedal's DI goes to the board. One thing I wish it had was the same style headphone jack as the Rumble 500 which I also have. That has a 1/8" headphone jack, but this one has a 1/4". Slightly annoying to search for adaptors. The overdrive and contour switches are nice, but no way to dial in the gain for the OD.
Underrated practice amp.
I don't get why this amp gets so much hate. It's a good little amp.
Fender Rumble 25
I am a guitar player but needed to add a bass guitar to my recordings. Although the Rumble 25 only has a headphone jack I accidentally found out that if you plug a ¼" cord half way into the headphone jack and connect to a Daw that runs to the computer the sound is clear and totally recordable and can with adjustments for the volume and controls on the amp to get the sounds you are looking for.
Works great
Works just fine for me!
Using as stereo FRFR for guitar amp modeler
I use a pair of these as a stereo FRFR monitoring setup on my quad cortex and i absolutely love it. These have enough frequency response that it sounds full range but they can still maintain integrity when turned up loud. The EQ allows me to shape the sound to my liking and it works very well. The amps respond well in a stereo configuration. I can hear a clear phantom center and wide stereo image. For the money, this is hard to beat. These amps are also incredibly quiet. I was really surprised they work this well for this purpose. The versatility of being able to play bass guitar out of them as well is a serious value added. They are also extremely light weight. I think ill buy some of the bigger ones as well. Playing out of 8 x 10s and 2 x 15s sounds fun.
Exactly what was called for!
I needed a piece of equipment that I could count on! I have had Multiple Sclerosis now for 32 years, and I am finally past the point of saying that I would be on the Madison Square Garden stage! I needed a LIGHT yet durable amp, that sounded great soft but handled the task if I wanted to punch it! This does the job!
Rumble 25
Great little practice amp. I have 2 ,one for my grandson he has a beginner bass will not name but sounds like Larry lol until he's old enough for his Mini P Squier. I like the 1/4 inch Jack's for the input and headphones. Aux input for playalong tracks or whatever you wish. 4 yrs old now , not 1 issue.
I am happy I picked this up.
Amazing amplifier. Full sound and fun to play. This a great little amp.
Great tool!
This is the only practice amp I recommend anymore. Cheap, great tone, decent controls, and practically bulletproof. Is it on the level of Fenders bigger combos? Oh, heavens, no. Not giggable; not enough power for that. And nobody would use this in the studio, either, but man, does it ever tick all the boxes for a practice amp, either for beginners, or for use as a "living room amp," playing along to Spotify playlists. And loud enough so it doesn't feel like a waste of time. Highly recommended!
Fender Rumble 25 bass amp
It has been a dream come true. It's light, powerful , sounds awesome. I even considered using it live pushing through sound system UNTIL today. I plugged it in and it hummed so loud you could hear it down stairs. All the controls turned down. I tried a different outlet, plugged it in to a brand new outlet and still humming. I have 3 other Fender tube amps for performing on guitar. I use the Fender 500 with the 15" bottom on stage and no problems. I may end up going with Ampeg now as I'm afraid this might happen with my 500 on stage and not just in the studio. Not at all happy
Fender Rumble 25 amp.
This amp is perfect to practice with at home and does not blow out the rest to the house. It is also excellent for small venues, also played in a barn and it rocked. Chri Shura was my contact and he did an excellent job
Fantastic
I bought this less than a year ago with my first bass and love it. Fair price and even better sound. Highly recommend it. I use it with my standup bass and bass guitar.
Great amp for small venues or rehearsal.
I'm too old at 84 to haul my 70 pound bass amp to rehearsals and gigs. I tried the Rumble and was pleasantly surprised at the tone quality and punch it provides.
Awesome Little Bass Amp
I'm a guitar player , not a bass player , but out of the blue my wife decided to learn bass and bought one for herself. So I called my sales engineer Patrick Ortiz for advice and discussed what would be a good amp for her to start on. I ended up getting the Fender Rumble 25. It sounds really good and sounds exactly like I had hoped it would. Thanks for the suggestion and I'm extra happy with the purchase!
Good amp
I've had this amp for about a year now, I use it for practicing the bass at home. It's been great, it's easy to use and I haven't run into any issues with it. I would definitely recommend it to others.
Poor quality - stopped working after 12 months and maybe used a dozen times

FENDER RUMBLE 25
Bought for my grand daughter to start her journey into playing bass ! Awesome purchase. Great Start up gear ! everything works perfect ! thanks so much ! Lee Flatt Tennessee
Very Impressive!
This small amp is very impressive for what it is. I have been playing over 50 years and still have Peavey and Carvin 600 watt heads and cabinets but they take up a lot of space and are extremely loud for playing practice and in home. I find the Fender rumble perfect for my needs as a practice and studio amp. I was not expecting it to sound as good as it does. I mean it is not intended for large venues although if it were run thru a sound system it could work. The 8" speaker will never push air like a 10,12, or 15" speaker, but it is very surprising as to how loud, deep, and clear it can get for such a small package. Also I tried it out with my keyboard and even my guitars and it is quite good at both. Like I said, this works out great for me and I'm very impressed.
will cause BAES...
I bought this for my youngest daughter who plays bass but did not have an amp of her own. I tried it out before I gave it to her. This is very affordable and small but powerful amp for bass with a great sound and tone.
My oldest daughter, who also plays bass but was using an old amp of mine, developed BAES, also known as Bass Amp Envy Syndrome, a condition common among bass guitarist siblings.
I will by buying another for my oldest daughter soon to cure her of this terrible affliction.
Small Combo With Huge Tone
I got this combo amp for my daughter, who has started learning bass and has been doing really well with it. She was playing through a Zoom B1 Four, into a small powered monitor. It worked out okay for practice but she is progressing quickly and I thought it was time for her to have a real bass amp. This combo is perfect. You can't go wrong with Fender. This is a small combo but it can push some air. The tone is gorgeous and full. Even the overdrive sounds really good and it responds well to pick attack and volume changes. Her bass is a Fender P/J bass and it sounds fantastic through this amp. I would highly recommend as a first amp or even a great practice amp for a pro. Also, shout out to Ed Nystrom, who is always present and supportive with every purchase.
Little but loud!
Much more than just a practice amp! Excellent for church or small coffee house gigs. Lightweight! Love this little amp!
Perfect
I absolutely LOVE my new amp. It's small, portable, and produces a lot of thump.
I was Skeptical
Holy ^&%&^% this thing is loud!
Great little bass practice amp.
I purchased this amp as a beginner bass player to go with my new Fender MIM P-Bass (awesome bass). I've played guitar for over forty years but never bass and so it's time for the Bass. This little amp provides me with the P-Bass tones I love in a practice setting. This is not an amp for a gig. This is a practice amp and a very good practice amp. I need a lot of practice on bass before any type of gig. If your like me then you can't go wrong with this amp. It's light weight and sounds very good and is loud enough to drive my wife crazy! Thanks Matt and Sweetwater!
Awesome sounding practice bass
This little bass amp has a very big sound. I love it! Deep clear sound even with a 5-string bass. I can dial almost any sound I want. The open 5th string on a 5-string bass sounds clean and pure unless I dial in some overdrive. Very nice! Much better than I thought it would be!
Decent for the money
So I went back in forth between the Rumble 15 and the Rumble 25. I needed a another amp that was more bass focused for my home studio. The reviews on the '25 seemed much more excitable, so I decided to spend the extra few bucks. I thought it would be a little bit louder, but I don't really have anything to compare it too, so ultimately I would say it does its job. Overall decent quality amp. If you are on the fence between 15 and 25 watt like I was, definitely go with the 25.
This Amp Is Amazing!
I love this amp, it's so much bigger and louder than my other one. I love how deep and loud it makes my bass sound! 100% recommend :)
Very Good
Bought this when on sale before Christmas. It pushes alot of sound out of the 8in speaker. The overdrive is very cool.
I'm satisfied.
Perfect for practice!
A great practice amp. Clear and crunchy bottom!
My only complaint is it's a bit noisy on powering up and shutting down!
I recommend this product!
Perfect!
It's all I'd hoped it would be. It's perfect just to practice with or you could play out in a small venue.
Nice clean crisp sound.
Good
Good product
Huge sound, small price!
I bought this for my wife to practice her bass. I am jealous, it sounds so good I am going to have to upgrade my gear. I have a starter guitar kit I found at Ross a couple of years ago. I will be buying a new guitar an a new fender amp. I love the way it sounds and the volume is a lot louder than I thought it would be. A great buy!!!
Great Amp at a Great Price!
This is a great practice amp, is excellent value for the money, Lightweight and extremely simple to understand / Use.
HOT STUFF!!!!.
76 year old Rock/Blues Musician switching back from guitar to bass and needed something small for my Studio. But still wanted that Fat Fender sound to complement my Fender Twin. This works just right and is great for Recording, just what I was looking for!!!!. Thanks Sweetwater,Y`all Rock!.
Long Term Review
After owning this for two years, it's cheap and falls apart quick. Not a good investment. The Aux in is already broken, and sometimes the audio cuts out when I'm playing bass- making it unusable for performances. If you're reading this, spend your money on a used bass amp that was originally more and is higher quality. You won't regret it.
Fender Rumble 25
Typical Fender quality product.
Use it for my Hofner and Fender bass.
Does the job.
FENDER RUMBLE WITHOUT A STUMBLE
The Fender Rumble 25 is unmistakably Fender. It is a versatile Amp, with contour, overdrive buttons easily accessible on the control panel, trb mid and Bass tone nobs and volume. handy 1/4 plug for headphones private monitoring of your playing.
I love the range of sound I can get when I play my bass. there is one drawback... when I play, I am so out of practice and the Rumble 25 is accurate, so I hear how bad I have gotten. chuckle If you are in the need of a great practice amp, what to some recording or [lay small gigs the Fender Rumble 25 is a great choice.
Best choice by far
This amp is far superior to anything offered in the same price range. I was surprised by its tone and clarity, even at volumes much louder than typical practice. It's also one of the few small amps that has a 1/4" output rather than a 3.5mm headphone jack. Very pleased with this purchase.
Great bang for your buck
Volume pot was a little scratchy when first plugged in so .5 points off for that but it went away. For the price and speaker size, this is an incredible bang for your buck amp. It's very lightweight but sounds like a much bigger amp. With an active bass, it has that nice "bright but fat" bass tone without touching the EQ at all. With a passive bass, I had to tweak the EQ a little but was still able to get that tone easily. The overdrive button really just makes the signal a bit hotter and the noise floor worse. I wouldn't even really call it "overdrive" so don't buy this if you want an amp that can clip.
You won't be able to keep up with drummers with this thing but if you just want a good, simple, portable and affordable practice amp, this is a great buy.
Are you ready to RUMBLE!...
Rumble 25
I'm a guitar player but I recently bought a bass. I was on the fence about the Rumble 25 or the Rumble 40. The 25 is plenty loud, loud enough that my neighbors complained when I had it at 1/2 volume. Seeing this is my first bass amp I don't have a point of reference but the tone seems decent for the price. I like it enough that I'm already looking for my next bass.
Ronnie in Cheraw SC
This is a great little practice amp as many have stated. One thing I didn t see was it makes a great keyboard amp. I play with two different different keyboard player and they both have tried to buy this amp from me. It has great stage presence on stages in venues that seat 100-150 people. You can mic it or use with a direct box. Has big clean sound for such a light weight amp.
Great living room amp
This is a great living room amp! It has just enough power and doesn't sound cheap.
SIIIIIIIIICK
I love this amp, thank you for hooking me up Travis!!! Having a great time learning and just jamming out, really appreciate all the help! Have a good one.
Great sounding amp at a great price!
Love Fender products as a whole and the Rumble didn't disappoint!!
Fender Rumble 25
I am a beginner bass player and I love this Combo amp. I use it for practice at home. I am not in a band yet, but I am hopeful.
Rumble 25
Perfect little practice amp.
Great sound
Great sound, compact, beautiful. Easy to transport. Perfect for practice or small situation. Its a steal for the price.
Overall great amp
While admittedly, I'm not the most experienced bass player, I can still say with confidence that this is one of my favorite amps. I've played with large amps in the $500 range, and those were amazing, but this amp is a great deal whether I'm practicing or playing in some smaller areas. It seems too light for the sound quality I get from it. Overall, I would say it's a great starter amp, especially for the price.
Great for a beginner
I'm very new to the bass. I have an Ibanez Talman and was running it through GarageBand but needed a live option. The Rumble 25 really suits my needs as a basement player. It's loud enough for that space but does not bother the neighbors. It's a solid amp with very good tone that impresses me. Made a good purchase here.
Great for apartments and for individual practice
Bought this amp primarily for my brother to play his Squier Affinity P bass. He is very satisfied with it for that purpose. The size is more substantial than I thought it was going to be when ordering. Cabinet is robust. The sound quality is there with this bass and also with my TD-3 bass synth. It was bought with the intention of practicing/recording in an apartment and I am happy we didn't get the 40watter as this has all the volume we can handle or need.
Great little amp
I have the 100 watt combo. Bought this one for my daughter to take to college with her. She loves it. Big sound out of a small package. Good buy.
Great Sound and Value!
This is a great deal. If you are looking for a step above the 10-15 watt range this one is perfect. This amp has great tone and volume. It works good as a practice amp or even for a coffee shop or smaller venue.
You definitely get a great deal for the low price. The Fender grill is also very nostalgic!
Great Little Bass Guitar Amp
What a great little bass guitar amp for my son to use as a beginner bass player. Great price, great quality, very portable. Thank you Darius Beatz for hooking us up with a great deal!
Very Good Bass Amp.
I'm just an at home player when I bought my Squire PJ bass I thought it would sound good through my Fender mustang II guitar amp, not quite up to par for bass. Then I got this it really sounds great! If I was going to play at some local venue I believe it would likely be loud enough. It shakes the house with the volume set at about 8 O'clock. The over drive and contour really help to get very good tone. I love mine. it's Fender what else
Uncleremus
This little amp is great for practice or jamming in the garage or basement. User friendly, very good sound and volume. It married up well with my Fender P-Bass. I love it. Very reasonably priced as well.
Never 'Assume'
Bought the 25 for my small home studio. When finally set up, I thought I would try a recording. Hold on....No line out for interface! Basic error. Wonder if you can retro fit?
Great for home use
Was trying to choose between this and the Rumble 40. Went with this when the Rumble 40 was sold out and was a little hesitant, but upon use, this amp is more than loud enough for home use. I can get great tones out of this for my Fender Jazz bass.
Good product
We don't have any issue for the product.
Wow!
I have a 15 watt rumble and was considering getting another. One of your reviewers suggested the 25 watt instead. I went for the few extra bucks and am glad that I did. It's plenty powerful enough for jam sessions or playing small venues. Very portable, which is what I was looking for.
it's great
It's Great....I love it ..
Perfect for what I needed
This is an awesome practice amp. I won't be playing any live shows, or anything. It sounds great and I love how light it is. It's easy to carry.
Rumble amps ROCK!
I've used (almost) every model of Rumble bass amps for over a decade now on thousands of gigs. None have ever failed. They always sound great. For bass lessons, I bought TWO of these lightweight little beauties. They do everything you need for low volume rehearsals and practice. And for their size, they are incredibly LOUD.
Small size but big sound.
Very impressive volume and tone, especially for the price. Bought it to amplify my Ubass and It's perfect.
good sound
glad I ordered this bass amp. I wanted something small and lightweight to take with me for jamming with friends. Reviews did not lie. Good tone, enough volume, lightweight. Easy for a 5' older gal to deal with. With my u bass, there is no holding me back. Thanks, Sweetwater. My order went smoothly, quick delivery.
Great Practice Amp
For the price, I don't think you can beat this. Headphone jack, an aux in to play along with whatever. I have mine plugged into my computer and play along with a metronome or tunes. I got the usual contact call from Sweetwater, gotta love their customer service. Its a great little practice amp, I recommend it highly.
Love the Rumble
Wow, if you are looking for an awesome addition to your gear arsenal at a great value point this is it! Bought this to pair with my new Yamaha TMB100 Bass and couldn't be happier! Great low end and plenty of volume for my home studio with sweet mids and plenty of head room! At low volume the sound is very consistent as well. Thought I would plug my vintage Stratocaster in for a whirl too! Spanky sounding and clean twang! Thank you Sweetwater and Bob Mondok!
Wow!! Small combo amps have come a long way since I was a teen.
If you are on the fence at all about this amp, just do it! Maybe the best bass related $ I've spent in a long time. It's much louder than I thought it would be, tone is great, and the aux/headphone is great for silent practice and hamming. I love that you can control the aux volume separately from the input volume. Some amps don't have this.
Great bang for the buck and Sweetwater as always came through with faster than expected shipping. Thanks!!
Fender Rumble 25
Great little amp. Perfect for my needs.with a Fender Players P-Bass plugged in it's almost impossible to not dial in a great tone. Absolutely love the contour setting and of course the classic good looks. It's light, loud and sounds great.
Won't be disappointed
For $... and 21 lbs this little thing sounds great, especially considering the cheap Squire MB-4 bass I'm using at the moment.
Get one of the larger models for rock gigs, but for practice and small/ low key gigs this will fill out the low end nicely.
As has been my experience so far with Sweetwater, it arrived in 2 days in spite of the extended lead times I've experienced elsewhere recently...
Fender Rumble 25 1x8" 25-watt Bass Combo Amp
I have only had it a short time, but I love it. It is easy to use, but has enough sound and bass to rock the living room. It is easy to use and small enough that it can fit anywhere in the house. It is exactly what I needed for a practice amp.
Little Engine that could!
Wow!I'm a drummer and I have been playing bass for just a little while. I bought the Rumble 25 used for $60 bucks.I glad I picked it up. I can do soft tones and hit the button and have fun with some slap bass and sounds very clean. Worth every cent.
Amazing Power
This little amp has some big sound! Great for practicing and even small gigs.
Fender rumble 25
Simply unbelievable. I thought it was 100watts through a 10 inch speaker. It was given to me used; I never would have bought it. I got it home and was blown away! 25 today watts sound like 100 yesterday watts! From an 8 inch speaker too! Loud and plenty of big bass. They say this is not a gig amp but unless you are playing heavy metal without a PA then I think you can play a gig with it. I put a Crate Taxi on top and it becomes a mini stack. $!? I would call that a steal. Remember; most clubs run you through the PA anyway so you really don't need those big amps anyway. No amp? Get this one. I have many amps; this one is in my bedroom.
Great equipment
I'm very pleased with my new amp. At a decent price.
Phenomenal Bass Amp
This amp can pump out some serious tones- anything from real clean to very distorted. I use this amp for both my electric guitar and bass and it both works and sounds great. Great for any genre you you play- whether it’s jazz or experimental, this one does it all. Thanks Fender!!
Fender Rimble 25, just what the Dr. ( i mean tha bass player ) order!
This amp is exactly what I wanted. It's small and doesn't take up a lot of space, yet powerful enough to get a good feel for what your trying to do on your bass. It's not a gigging amp, it's not ment to be. Just the right size and power to get your practice in. Love it, could not be happier. Thank you Sweetwater and Fender.
Fantastic!
It's impossible to beat this amp at this price point. Tone, volume, and feature set are just flawless for a bass practice amp. And all from an 8 inch speaker? It's at least 5 times better than what I expected. I also own the Rumble 200...and every bass player that plays through either the 25 or 200 is astonished. Fender has done an incredible job with their Rumble series.
Awesome For what it is
I needed something small to tote around to jams and such without having to load up the rig. Never been a Fender fan but the local music shop had these ... so I gave it a test drive in the store... Outstanding. Anything less than 5 stars rating on this is lying or an amp snob. It's a practice amp... It has an 8" driver ......... and has NO trouble with the B string of a 5sting bass !!!!! If you need a portable unit to toss in the car to go to a jamb or what ever other than a live show... this is the ticket!!
It's okay...
It's an okay amp.
It is loud enough for home practices, and simple enough for anyone to understand. An excellent first bass/keyboard amp.
The lack of a gain stage means that your tones are very limited. The headphone output is loud that that it could kill cheap earbuds. The overdrive sounds a little hissy, and also boosts the volume by A TON. Also, the amp is not that loud. My final gripe is that if you turn the volume all the way up, the speaker gets distorted and flabby. I'm guessing that it can't even handle 25 Watts?
Fender rumbler
I bought this amp for my electric drum kit. But I plugged in my Strat and triggered the over drive feature I was amazed at the tones, it will make your Mama weep.
Great "big" small amp
I was surprised with the volume and tone of the Fender Rumble 25 even though I had read so many excellent reviews. An excellent value. Sweetwater's free, fast delivery, less than 48 hours from when the the order was placed, is another reason to buy here. Their followup phone calls, post-order and post-delivery, are a testament to their attention to customers - even small and infrequent ones such as myself. The candy is "sweet" also. Thanks Sweetwater.
Fender Rumble 25
Great tone for a home practice bass amp. Perfect size and lightweight. Highly recommend. Service from Seeetwater was great.
Rumble Raves
Great little practice amp. Small enough to easily move around but big sound. Nothing fancy but enough tone control to adjust to the room. Quality build.
Fender Bass Combo
Expecting a practice amp but was very impressed that I will be able to use during a small gig.
I've never been disappointed by Sweetwater's help in getting just what I need and want. Picking up the bass starts a new adventure..! Thanks TJ and Sweetwater..!
Small Bass Amp
A great entry level or practice bass amp.
Great Amp
Great little bass amp! Especially for beginners that want something with more power than the Rumble 15. Has enough sound to fill up a small to medium room and even acompany a band.
Have three of these
We have three at our school and love them.
Fantastic!
I purchased this bass combo and did not expect the outstanding sound it provides. I was a little skeptical at first because of it size, but in all just so happy I took the chance. Having an aux and earphone jack helps make practice enjoyable for others! I highly recommend this product.
First tymer
This is my First time buying from this Company and I gotta tell you it was a very special Experience, the day after I place my order I receive a call from Joe Explaining how thing would work from that time onward.. that was very nice.
sweet GUITAR amp!!
I bought the Rumble 25 for bass practice/recording amp. But I couldn't resist plugging an electric guitar in; man oh man, this amp sings the blues! The limiter that Fender put in adds compression and tube-like grind and sustain when the amp is turned up and you bear down on the guitar, sounds like an overdriven tweed Bassman. When you pick softer it cleans up. Has great presence. I am gonna get one more Rum25 and use them as a stack.
Guitar- rehabbed 90s Epiphone Telecaster with Guitarmadness stock-style pickups, volume and 3way switch only, no tone pot.
...you can't go wrong
This little amp is doing everything I need it to do as a practice amp. I'm playing a PRS S2 Vela through it, and typically I'm using headphones. My go-to amp is a Fender '65 Princeton Reverb (12" speaker) and while there is of course a world of difference between the two amps, I'm nonetheless impressed with the Rumble 25 and would recommend it to anyone looking for an inexpensive and fairly lightweight practice amp. (I have it sitting on a Mud Stand Mini to get it off the floor. Had to modify the latter slightly to make room for the power cord, but it was a simple affair of cutting off an inch of foam with a knife.) Thanks as ever to Forrest Powell for pointing me in this direction.
Fender Rumble 25
The amp is great sounding, lightweight, and it will shake the house. My only complaint is that you can't use Fender's Tone app with it. Was looking forward to exploring all the different sounds available. The main complaint is that nowhere in Fender's literature or in the app itself do they say you have to have the Rumble 40 or larger to use the app. Would have been nice to know before I bought that I needed the larger amp. Guess I'll chalk this one up to experience and call and ask questions before I buy. Would have given the amp a five if I could use thee Tone app with it.
It Completes the Sound
A couple of months ago, I bought a Yamaha EW300. The next month I added a Lester-K to enhance the organ sound. I already had a Fender Chorus amp, but the bass notes were putting a strain on it. The Rumble 25 balances the output, and it completes the sound. I now have a professional quality keyboard set that is a pleasure to play.
Good buy
Bought to write with and as a recording option. Plenty of volume at 25 watts. No frills but the contour control is a nice feature in this price range. Fits my needs well
Boom Boom Boom!
Lots of sound from a little amp! Needed a new amp for at home practice and this one is just perfect.
Great Amp
This is one of the practice amps on the market and its plenty loud too. It can be heard perfectly over drums. The police actually came once because of a noise complaint. Great expereance with sweetwater too.
So nice I bought 2
The only complaint I have is that the overdrive is a bust with my active basses, it"s more of a clean boost. Since I don"t play that style of music I don"t mind at all. This thing is simple, loud, sounds HUGE and is light as a feather.
Fender Amp
This is a great practice amp, sounds like the big boys. I like the overdrive also, puts out awesome sounds. Controls all simple to use. I could not ask for more for this Fender Amp.
Rumble 25
I purchased this amp as a practice option for rehearsals with bands I play with..When I opened the box I was a little apprehensive due to its small size and 25 watts behind it. I was blown away when I plugged my bass into it.. All the tonal options with only a 3 band eq amazed me.. I bought this amp to practice.. Instead of using my Ampeg for church yesterday I took my Rumble 25 and it more than filled the room in the small church that I play in on Sundays. I highly recommend product to anyone starting out on bass or looking for a quick travel amp for small venues. And the Sweetwater sales associate Frank Gertz that sold it to me always makes purchasing easy as well as follow up to make sure I'm satisfied with my purchase.
Great little amp
Needed a small practice amp and picked this up based on price and convenience (it is small and light), with relatively low expectations. I have to say that it sounds fantastic, holds its own in terms of power even at 25W, and exceeded my expectations by a mile. The overdrive is cool, if not a bit overcooked, but the non-overdrive is clean but with some bite, the convenience of an 1/8" jack for running aux equipment into the amp for practice, and the overall convenience of the thing are all just great.
Great bass amp
I make music in an apartment so I can"t really turn it up too loudly. That"s why I always keep my bass amp under 25 watts. It"s loud enough to practice without disturbing my neighbors. The only thing it lacks is the ability to record into an audio interface, but I just plug my bass directly into an audio interface and use vst vintage amp when it comes to recording. For practice, it"s the best for,the price range.
Great Practice Amp
I wanted a great practice amp for Bass and this Fender 25 W fits that bill . I couldn't think of a better buy for the dollar. Basic features but flawless sound I'm real happy with this amp's performance.
LOVE THIS LITTLE AMP!
What a terrific little amp! In addition to looking fantastic and weighing nothing, it sounds great, has good features, and is easy to use. I could see getting away with using this for small coffee house gigs playing with acoustic guitars and such. Ideal practice amp.
Not very reliable. Lots of static and pops.
This is probably the worst practice amp I've ever had. This amp produces too much static at times. I've tried all kinds of basses and guitar cords but nothing seems to work. It is definitely the amp. None of my other amps do the same thing and I use the same equipment on all.
I just think this amp is cheaply made. Fender's quality control is lacking when it comes to the manufacturing of these amps. That's why I typically buy Ampegs. I'll never buy one of these again.
Great little amp.
I bought this bass amp to be able to move my smaller Fender amp in the bedroom. I play out so my main is a vintage Fender Bassman (love it). This amp is the perfect size and the sound is great. You have to fiddle with it to get the right sound but that is personal. Love it but the built in Overdrive is a bit weird so I still use my regular pedal. For the price, this a good deal...better than most pawn shops by far. It was shipped fast and safely.
Great little amp
Bought this for practice and gigs at the house. Works great. Just what we needed.
Love it
Basic but powerful. The aux input and headphone jack make practice easier without disturbing anyone.
Nice piece of gear at a bargain price.
More power than I expected and the tone is great. Really pleased with this purchase.
Great Fender product
Looks great and sounds great. Bought this to replace an Ibanez bass amp that I gave to one of my grandchildren, but got to say that I'm very impressed with this Fender amp.
And RUMBLE it does!
A friend gave me this amp to go along with my Ibanez Soundgear bass, and it rocks! I cannot believe this is only 25 watts. The tones it gets with all the contouring the amp does are amazing! The soundgear has the active EQ so I tried to overload the amp and get it to distort. It would not distort, even at about 3/4 volume. Punch the distortion button, and you get the classic Ampeg SVT bite. This is not a large venue amp. But it will be more than enough for a small club or coffee house or party. This will serve me well for a long time!
Bass Amp
I'm a beginner but I think it's a great little lamp for the money others also Ihave commented how nice it sounds. Would recommend to purchase .
Love this little Fender
I am not a professional musician nor a Bass player. I like many just enjoy playing an instrument for my own pleasure in the privacy of my own home. I wanted an amp that would fill a room with quality sound not Madison Square Garden. I found this Fender 25w Rumble to fit my needs.
The sound quality is surprisingly clean despite the 8' speaker, I was afraid of distortion but it seems to hold its own. There are a few nice features such as eq and an overdrive.
I would recommend this to anyone wha is just beginning or simply wants a warm up amp around.
Geat Little Bass Amp
This is a great little bass amp. Just what I needed - something light and portable for practice. For $ with shipping included, this is a great buy. would also make a great starter amp for new players.
Fender Rumble 15
Perfect for practice... Mikes for performance... Light easy carry.
WHAT A SOUND . . .
THIS FENDER RUMBLE 25 BASS AMP IS GREAT . . THE HOFNER BASS IS GREAT ALSO . . WHAT A DUO . . IT'S LIKE BATMAN AND ROBIN . . KICK'IN BUTT TOGETHER . .
Greatest little amp
This amp is very great sounding and verdatile sounding amp weather you play metal blues or country. Its controls are just the right amount not overkill . The overdrive blows me away sounds like Big Muff built right in. Sturdy construction.
Solid practice amp!
Don't be fooled, this is a solid sounding practice amp! It is loud but you lose a little clarity when you crank it and when I say crank it, I mean louder than you need to. Again, this is a PRACTICE amp and a good one at that. Nice sound, lightweight, simple controls. I'm thoroughly satisfied with my purchase and as always, Sweetwater is the best!
Bass Amp
This is a bass amp. It works really well. I use it also for keyboards. It works really well for keyboards. I like that it's kinda fat looking. This helps the fat bass notes get fatter.
Great Practice Amp
I was not expecting much out of this amp when I first got it seeing that it is only 25 watts, but WOW did it blow me away. You can get a variety of tones out of this, and with the contour button I feel like it brings it all together. I have used this amp without a mic at small shows, so it is doable to sort of gig with. The overdrive is a nice feature, but I feel like it only makes it louder instead of more grittier as I hoped it did. The amp seems very durable and lightweight. Once the speaker is broken in then it does get better. I do want to upgrade to the higher Rumble amps because they just seem so great!
average bass player
I like the Fender Rumble 25 she have a nice sound for a small amp.
Fender Rumble (Version 3) 25w
Beyond Incredible
When I first got this little amp, wasn't really expecting as good as the reviews had all stated. But to my surprise, this little amp is doing things I didn't even think was possible in this small a package. The warmth and tone of this little amp reminded me of the tube Fender Bassman amp I had years ago. And probably has a similar gain output. It's extremely full and clean at the bass end, which is very surprising it being a light weight combo cabinet with an 8 inch speaker. The headphone output, (which can also be used as a direct line out) completely shuts down the speaker output when in use, which is very nice for late night playing.
Love it.
It arrived in perfect condition. It performs far better than I had hoped it has a nice clean, clear, loud sound. It makes my cheap little bass sound fantastic. FENDER STRIKES AGAIN. Also, Sweetwater is a great company to deal with, everything was fantastic.
Great Amp for the $$$
I was looking for a small practice amp and was planning on getting the Rumble 15w. But after I saw the 25w I decided that it was worth extra $20. I'm glad I spent the extra. It's great to have the Aux In jack as well as the Contour and Overdrive button. It's also nice to have the extra wattage as well in case I ever need it and you don't have to sacrifice a lot of space to get the extra boom. It's is very lightweight but still feels sturdy. It has great sound and doesn't at all sound distorted. I've only had it a couple weeks but so far I'm very happy with it.
AWESOME!!
Lightweight and sounds awesome. Exactly what I was looking for in a practice amp.
RUMBLE
FOR JUST BEGINING TO PLAY THE BASS, I AM IMPRESSED WITH THE SOUND QUALITY.
This Rumble Really Rocks
After trying 3 other small combos; The GK, Ampeg and Orange, I finally decided this was exactly what I needed. Yeah it's portable which was what I really needed, but it also had to have good tone! And this delivers solid, punchy, clear tone. The others I tried kept breaking up at low volumes, but not this baby. It's well made, sounds great, lightweight and extremely portable. Bass in one hand, amp in the other and away I go! Highly recommend and the price can't be beat. Hands down beats all others in the $99 - $199 range. If you're in the market for a small lightweight great sounding bass combo - look no further than the Fender Rumble, it really rocks!
Fender rumble 25
Great little practice amp with surprising low end bass. Wonderful in every way.
Awesome!
It's fantastic! No matter how loud I turn it up its clear and loud!
Fender Rumble 25
Great little practice amp or would great for a small venue. I bought this for my grandson, but of course I had to put it through it's paces before I turned it over to him! Was going to get the Rumble 15, but for just a few bucks more you get the extra ability to play with the sound. The overdrive enables you to dial in some unique sounds and this little guys packs a punch. Highly recommend. And of course, unequaled service from Sweetwater. Arrived quickly as promised and in perfect condition. Get one, you won't be disappointed.
Kinnon
I like it. Sounds good and easy to use.
Fender Rumble 25-Watt Bass Combo
Super practice amp! More than enough volume, more than enough tonal options, and light weight too. Works well with all 4 bass guitars - 5-string, Fender P, violin, and acoustic. The "contour" option especially brings out the acoustic's sound.
Excellent First Bass Amp
The neighborhood will agree that this amp performs.
