Great case!
I used this case when building my fly-rig rack. Very high quality and durable!
case muito bom
pratico para transporte e boa qualidade
Good Lord! No wonder I'm broke!
Don't tell anyone, but I have twin live PA sets, Yamaha 16 channels, BBE 882i Sonic maximizers and a Furman power conditioner in the studio. This keeps the studio set tidy.
Great product
Exactly what I needed, when I needed it. Perfect, sturdy 2 slot rack for my platform. Sweetwater is always on point with our needs. Thanks Yuval!
SKB 1SKB-R4U Roto Rack Case
I love it! Strong, yet light. I've got a heavy 2 rack space Peavey Classic 50/50 Stereo tube guitar amp; TC Electronic G-System effects and the classic MP1 Guitar Preamp tucked in there...and there's extra room in the back for the power supply and cables. It's not too heavy and handles nicely with the two recessed side handles. An added bonus for me is the stacking feature. On the top the stack slots protrude and on the bottom they recess. The bottom recess allows me to balance the unit securely on the protruding handle on top of my Bugera 1X12 speaker cabinet! I use two Bugera 1X12's as my output is stereo, so my SKB rack sits on one Bugera and the other can be placed anywhere! Real cool and efficient setup!
Nice Case
So it"s not like the older racks because the threads are already in the metal those hold your gear. All you do is stew it in. No more buying screw kits. I fit an Ampeg SVT 3 Pro, Korg rack tuner, and Furman power conditioner. 4U and had plenty of space in the back for a goose neck light from the power conditioner. The locks on the covers have like springs on them and super functional. I plan on keeping this forever because it seems like even if the springs wear out you can still close it manually.
Roto Rack Review
Bought a regular and a shallow 4U Roto Rack and they are very nice cases. They stack nicely together when set up for the gig. But be aware: Found that the lids were not interchangeable between the units. Even though each was a 4U the lids between units were slightly different. However a minor inconvenience. I just mark the edges with a silver sharpie to 'code' each lid to put back on the correct unit. Also I own a bunch of older SKB racks and they do not stack well with the Roto Rack unit.
Flimsy and disappointing
The SKB rack on the right has been a solid companion for 17 years, so when I needed another I naturally went with SKB. That's the one on the left. They are flimsy, warping and if you look closely you can see how the top is caving in so you have to beat the covers on. It's obvious that there's no way this set will last half as long as the other one, and as aggravating as the thing is to use, that's not the worst news I've ever had. The execs at SKB no doubt voted themselves nice bonuses to celebrate the money they saved cheapening up their product. Neebless to say, I've bought my last SKB case.
