T-Rex Tape Cartridge for Replicator Reviews
Use this T-Rex Tape Cartridge to replace the worn-out tape in your Replicator Delay pedal. Analog tape delay sounds sweet, but tape wears out eventually - thankfully, it's easy to swap out tape cartridges in your Replicator Delay pedal. Just remove the dust cover, loosen a thumbscrew to replace the old tape, and replace the dust cover. Guitarists at Sweetwater recommend you keep the old tape around though - it may have extreme flutter and wow, but you never know when you may want that "broken" tape sound in the future. To keep your Replicator Delay pedal in top sonic form, make sure you always have a T-Rex Tape Cartridge around.

T-Rex listened to customer's feedbacks and finally resolved the splice point noise !
As much as I looooove my Replicator D'Luxe, I have been bothered since months by the annoying popping sound from the tape splice point... I tried multiple cartridges, but that noise was still there !
Until...
The extremely responsive people at T-Rex just told me a few weeks ago that they created a machine that does the splicing (it used to be done by hand) and thanks to this, the splice noise has been reduced to a barely noticeable (you REALLY have to concentrate to hear it !) tiny "pop".
They even sent me a couple a new cartridges for free so I can try them, and indeed, once received, the noise was... 99% gone !
They told me that Sweetwater must have received the new batch a couple of weeks ago, so after contacting Brad @SW who confirmed they just received a new stock, I ordered a small batch, just to have spares.
I just received them, and they are indeed the "new" ones ;-)
So now, I can totally enjoy that sweeeeet tape echo tone. This one is a keeper !
