Line 6 Relay G10TII Wireless Transmitter
Line 6 Relay G10TII Wireless Transmitter Reviews
The Line 6 Relay G10TII gives you the same superior quality as Line 6's original G10T transmitter, with several welcome upgrades under the hood and a sleek and stylish silver finish. It pairs seamlessly with wireless-enabled Spider V guitar amplifiers, as well as Relay G10II receivers, to create a complete instrument wireless system. Its 24-bit sound quality and a 10Hz-20kHz frequency response ensure that nothing comes between you and your tone. In fact, the guitarists here at Sweetwater have found that the G10TII sounds as good as a top-quality instrument cable, by virtue of Line 6's innovative Cable Tone technology. Move about the stage without fear of dropouts, thanks to a 50-foot transmission range, with over six hours of continual use per charge. The Line 6 Relay G10TII provides wireless freedom with cable simplicity.
Great while it worked
I had the original G10 and then bought the G10TII. It was fine for a year and a half of minimal use, 2-4 hours per week. I started using it regularly over the past few months for home practice and it routinely cuts out and sometimes drops altogether.
Wireless Transmitter
Ordered a $ item, treated as though it was a million dollar order. Received item a day earlier than projected. Even received a followup call from Dave Snow checking on my satisfaction.
I have ordered equipment over the years and have experienced 'above and beyond' help from Dave on each and every order.
I appreciate the sincere approach of Dave and the culture demonstrated at Sweetwater.
Battery won’t last through an hour gig
I have had this for a year and the battery has always been poor and has gotten worse. I can't count on it to last through an hour of intermittent playing. Maybe I happened to get a dud, but based on my experience I can't recommend it.
Line 6 Relay G10TII Wireless Transmitter
I play violin, mandolin and guitar in an Elton John tribute band. When my transmitter recently grew legs and walked away from a stage, my Sales Engineer Josh Lively quickly advised me on a replacement transmitter - which arrived just-in-time for two major weekend gigs. Continued props to Josh and Sweetwater for providing advice and access to great gear at great prices with great customer service.
Great Battery Life!
I've been using the Line 6 wireless system for years, with almost no dropouts. The first transmitter that came with the system had a battery that degraded pretty quickly, so I bought this replacement. This one is SOLID. 3hr gig and the battery didn't even lose a bar.
I did say ALMOST zero dropouts. I've found very specific spots where it's like I stepped in a hole and disappeared, only to take a step and be right back. The practical range really is about 100' before it starts to cut out.
I strongly recommend you not purchase this product
Replacement Transmitter (GT10TII) Works Well
Hadn't used my GT10 for several years and the Lithium Ion would not charge so decided to purchase a new transmitter (less than 1/2 the cost of a new GT10S system). No issues, holds charge for over 4 hours and works with the older receiver model.
Complete Junk
Using it with a Yamaha THR30II Wireless. Takes forever to charge, then only works sporadically. Wasted money!
Replacement Line 6 Relay still disconnects intermittently - Poor Quality
Doesn’t stay connected - Cuts out repeatedly - Difficult and sometimes impossible to reconnect
I really wanted to like this device. I'm using it with a Yamaha THR30ii amplifier which is designed for the Line 6 wireless unit. I've had it for 15 days. I've updated to the latest software too, so this is apparently the best it gets. It cuts out in the middle of playing and I have difficulty getting it to connect again. This is from a distance of 5' away from the amp too. Basically, I consider it an expensive piece of junk. I'd expect better from Line 6/Yamaha. Looks like I'm going back to an instrument cable. I threw away the box or else I'd return it.
No more cables...
I've had the G10S for several years. It's truly enabled me to cut the cord to my pedalboard, roam the audience, and do more effective sound checks without an engineer. I cannot tell the difference in sound between the wireless and a 20' cable.
It has never had a problem cutting out or picking up radio Nairobi.
Over the years, the transmitter has lost it's ability to go for a whole show without recharging, which was the point in picking up this transmitter. This is a much improved battery, with a LOT longer life than the original G10S transmitter. Four hour rehearsals don't even deplete it.
Why would you still trip over a guitar cable?
Battery Issues
My second one just died, usually last about a year, then the battery goes south. IMO a better design would be a replaceable battery.
It just isn't worth sending it in for "repair".
When it works it's OK, if you want wireless buy one that you can replace the batteries yourself like the Line 6 Relay G30.
G10 transmitter
I broke my old transmitter. Used it for years. Adam sent me a new one immediately. It works great.
Line 6 relay transmitter
FIRST TIME EVER TRYING A WIRELESS TRANSMITTER, VERY IMPRESSIVE TO SAY THE LEAST.
Cut the cord and roam the stage!
Great product paired up with my Yamaha THR30 perfectly.
No chord!
The line 6 Relay works great. It's nice to be wireless.
Line 6 wireless guitar transmitter
When I bought my line six amp I went ahead and got this and the pedal board that goes with the spider amp and it is nice not having a cord drag around everywhere while playing. So far it's working great. I love the line six set up. Simple and sounds awesome.
Stopped Charging
This things a piece of junk. I used it a handful of times and it just stopped charging. Completely dead.
Line 6 Relay G10TII Wireless Transmitter
Seamless connection to my Yamaha THR30 II. Easy! Plug it in and play!
It works but…
When the Relay G10 came out YEARS ago I purchased it. Since this I've had transmitter issues so I bought this replacement transmitter. It works, but whenever I plug it into the receiver, it flashes red as if it's dead (even though it isn't) for 2-5 mins. Not sure why it does that, but aside from that, it works flawlessly.
No Surprises
Bought to combine with Yamaha THR30II. Works as advertised. Fun.
Will not fit Ibanez S series guitars.
I just got this receiver, and I love it. But I think it's important to know if you were using an Ibanez Saber series guitar, this device might not fit your guitar. It works with every other guitar, and I have, and outside of that one issue, I have no complaints.
OK but
It seems ok once it charges fully, although I've heard some scratchy noise from time to time on certain notes,,,, BUT you have to used the amp to charge it and the amp has to be on for hours to charge.
While I understand the original G10 used a USB cable to charge, I assume it was all discontinued because the older batteries had fire issues,
whats to stop these new ones from having the same fire issue being plugged into the amp for hours?
If there is no longer any fire issue, Why is there no USB charge option for the g10Tii? unless they have the same issue with fire?
Who wants to leave their amp on for this for 3 hours at a time?
Im not an IT person !
If I had known I would have to firmware/software updates in order to use this thing I never would have bothered. If you get one, better be preparred to chase down software drivers/ patches, and if you are lucky they will install properly.
What a waste of time and money
The fat body of the transmitter won't fit in my Ibanez JIVA guitar
I was told this transmitter would fit in my Ibanez JIVA10 guitar, which I was considering. I ended up buying the guitar on Sweetwater's Gear Exchange, and found out that I can't use wireless with it. It's too fat to insert in far enough. I purchased the G10TII to link to a Yamaha THR30 II amp, and I can use it with my Yamaha silent practice guitar, but it's disappointing to find out that my first true electric won't work with it. I'm sure an extension would allow it, but it might be awkward sticking out the guitar face........
It works great for my application
I'm not sure this would work for everybody, but I am using it to connect a Guitar to the related Yamaha THR 30 II, which is made to automatically pair with it. Once I figured out the amp, this transmitter is a no-brainer. I haven't tested in a distance yet I'm really happy with it.
Didn’t last
It was great while it worked, the micro switch started sticking after about a year and I would have to charge it every time I wanted to use it because it was stuck on all the time and then after a few weeks of that it quit all together
Does not last long
I'm on my third transmitter after the first two failed. When it works it's fine but the transmitter doesn't last more than a year. This is that last one! Consider another brand.
Line 6 Wireless Transmitter
Love it!!
Wasn't sure if I was ordering the proper components but, the Relay G10TII paired up seamlessly with my Line 6 SpiderV120… Your customer service is exceptional!
I received a phone call from customer service on a SATURDAY!! making sure I was satisfied with my purchase!
Unheard of!! Keep it up folks!!!
Mahalo,

Not very sturdy
I bought the older G10 model. It came with the amp. It has cracked at the input ring and does not work. I tried to glue it but with no success. I don't gig so it's was home use only. I suggest Genesis or cheaper Chinese versions that you can get for well under the price of the G10. Thanks
Super cool
Work as that said! Very good for me!
Line6 G10II transmitter
Excellent!
Review Update
There is one problem with {no interference} i posted on my review of this device. With any electrical device like computer or amp is around and you touch it you will hear interference coming from the amp.
I noticed this yesterday as i had my computer setting next to me on a table stand. I went to click to change something on it and i could hear the high pitch squeal. As soon as i took my hand off the computers touch pad it stopped.
I did the same thing with the amp just to see if it was a fluke and sure enough when my finger touched the amp the high pitch squeal came out. Just unplugging the transmitter from guitar when going to mess with any electronic device will solve the problem. Hope this helps for any of you running into this problem.
cable free
Love using this completely free from the cable. Charges off my spider V the only down side to this is without the receiver base the amp has to be plugged in all the time to charge. I have only been using this for two days so far but worth every penny. I really wish i had purchased the transmitter and base just to have a charging base but still serves the purpose.
I have been up to 65 feet away from amp with no problem. No interference problems so far. The unit goes into stand by after a few minutes of no use and i have to unplug and plug back in but that is not a deal breaker. This is worth every penny and your cable free.
Worthy Investment
Works well with the Yamaha THR30 II
Great upgrade from G10S
I've happily been using a G10S Relay for a few years, but I broke the original transmitter due to some carelessness on my part. Ordered this as a replacement and am happy that it supports my guitars with active pickups without the use of an adaptor. The original model required the adaptor for these types of guitars, but the G10TII works with all my guitars by itself.
Nice but ........
Although the product works great I had to take a 2 stars away because it is not repairable. You must purchase a new one when the battery dies. The battery is NOT user replaceable. So be prepared to spend over $ ever few years as the battery dies.
Just another way to make money from the consumer. Most musicians can't afford to do this to support a company over and over again.
Great wireless transmitter
Unwired
The relay G10TII has far exceeded my expectations!
Short distance signal
Short distance signal on all gigs... If I try to get closer to the guitar player on the other side of the stage the signal turns off.
Worse Product ever
Great Warranty Support on the Line 6 Relay G10TII Wireless Transmitter
I bought a new Yamaha THR30 II Wireless - 30-watt Modeling Combo Amp that paired with the Line 6 Relay G10TII Wireless Transmitter so I ordered the transmitter. It's wireless and plugs into your guitar so it eliminates a cord from your guitar to the amp. It worked good for a short time but then it cut out and I had to plug it back into the amp to get it to work again. Sweetwater sent me another transmitter and I sent the old one back with a prepaid label.
This one works really great. I've had no issues. I pairs with the THR30 and also charges when plugged into the jack for the guitar cord on the amp. I recommend this Line 6 wireless transmitter. I have a different Line 6 wireless transmitter and had had no issues with that one either.
Ok for practice
Cuts out often. Annoying when practicing, would not gig with it.
Awesome Product
So far when I tested out the unit it seems to do what they say the clarity is better seems like the signal chain is stronger. I would say you need this if you don't have it... Great Investment.
Work great, never have an issue.
Thanks Eric for his help.
Outstanding product
Had it about ten months. Always works great. It sometimes fades out if you leave line of sight but that can be expected of wireless.
Perfect for some uses
The relay does as promised. It will shut off. I believe it has a timer on it. Line 6 really needs to work on the included instructions for all products.
I use Sweetwater for my questions which is really helpful, but shouldn't be their responsibility.
Should have bought it long ago
Works great, great sound, and no more tripping over multiple wires, resulting in knocked over guitars. Worth every penny.
Garbage. Do not But
They made this very cheap, plastic breaks and actual plug will detach in the middle of the song you are playing.
It has a high pitch noice that will only cancell after you use a mono plug to cancell the noice.
This unit is so cheap that will only last 3 month max, Forget if you drop just one time.....It will be useless.
the signal will cut off from the transmiter for no reason at any given moment.
Horrible product
Line 6 Relay
Bought this to go with my Yamaha THR10 wireless and it works great ! Can practice anywhere in comfort. Thanks Sweetwater !
Eh
i mean it works decently depending on the guitar but mine cut out a lot. i use an ibanez jem and i guess maybe it just didn't work well for that kind of guita r it worked a little better on my strat but even still it cut out sometimes.
Amazing! With Thr30ii
This is absolutely great gadget….especially with Yamaha Thr30ii guitar amplifier. It's actually made for it. Charges right out of the input Jack and syncs up the Bluetooth channel by just plugging it in to the amp.
It has a great range. Doesn't need to be in the line of sight. Latency can't even be felt. Beautiful quality of sound.
You should really try this out, by the way line 6 is a Yamaha product now.
Works great!
Bought this to replace a G10T that I thought was lost (only misplaced). Works great but the important thing was I ordered and 2 days later it arrived, in time for the next gig. Great customer service. Thanks!
Works great
Paired it with the Yamaha THR II. Have had no problems. Had one instance when it didn't connect right away. Turned off the THR and turned it back on and everything worked. Have not had any trouble hearing or loosing connection during play. The sound is good and the battery life is excellent.
Receiver Replacement
Our drummer accidentally stepped on my old Line 6 receiver while it was charging (moments before a gig). Worried a "new" replacement might not work as well... I WAS WRONG!!! Called Sweetwater - and before our next gig BAZINGA!!! I'm rockin' with the new G10TII replacement!! Its just as good as the old one...sound quality, distance, only I still suck as a guitar player!! LOL ;-) Thanks Sweetwater!! You guys always come thru when I need you!! (and THATS a Fact!) Jamie / Delray Beach, FL
Wireless supply for my guitar.
I'm really digging this. I had to play around with my tone to get it where I wanted it. Other then that works great. And I really like the fact you can charge it with your line 6 amp. Im probably going to get one more so I don't have to worry about always having one charged.
Line 6 G10TII
After receiving this as a replacement for my G10, it works well and I am completely satisfied. I broke my original and this was to replace it. When I got it, it would not charge properly, sweetwater replaced it with another and overnighted it to me. They were truly focused on my being happy. Thanks Guys
Brent
I'll use it but...
What I enjoyed about the G10TII was not having to use the angle adapter anymore. I'm not convinced on the battery life yet. It seemed to drop just as fast as my original. It does however show the amount of charge properly. I did notice my level of connection to the receiver was different. I'll have to monitor placement of other wireless devices going forward to make a better assessment as to why it was slightly less. The thing I dislike most is it doesn't indicate when it's finished charging. It just keeps flashing and never goes to a solid light like my old G10 did.
G10T11
Worked great. Josh did a super job.
G10TII Wireless Relay Is Awesome
LOVE this thing. I got it to pair with my Yamaha THR10 II Wireless Amp and it works perfectly. There is absolutely no latency or delay in the signal and no compromise in sound or tone. It works every bit as well as a cord but of course is infinitely more convenient. But zero problems with the Relay 6 G10TII. The one thing that kind of bugs me is that if you stop playing your guitar for a few minutes the relay goes to sleep and you have to plug it back into the amp jack (which on the Yamaha amp charges the relay) for about 5 seconds to wake it back up. But I hardly ever have to deal with that. Bottom line is I love it and it is far superior to the competition for the same price.
G10TII... WHAT..!!!
The original G10T has been my goto work hoarse for practicing playing and whatnot when I use my G10S Receiver or my Yamaha THR10II. They just work and sync well with not dropped signal. The New G10TII works as good as the original. But it seems to have much better battery life and less dropped signal. My original G10T now serves as my backup or when I want to take my THR10II when I travel. They just seem to work without signal failure.
