Mesa/Boogie Rectifier Badlander 25-watt 1 x 12-inch Tube Combo Reviews
Mesa/Boogie Rectifiers are renowned for their tight, muscular lows, hard-hitting mids, and sweet, singing highs. Mesa's newest Recto, the Badlander, includes a streamlined feature set, baked-in cutting-edge technology, and — most importantly — 25 watts of fire-breathing Rectifier tone. This guitar combo amplifier comes loaded with a 12-inch Celestion Creamback 65 speaker, which yields brawny low-end grunt, warm lower mids, crunchy upper mids, and sweet highs. Three selectable modes enable you to configure each channel for an array of sounds, while a 2-way power reduction switch makes achieving cranked-up tones at bedroom levels easy. This Recto supplies you with the usual EQ controls for fine-tuning your sound. You also get a built-in CabClone IR, a serial effects loop, a headphone output, and a 1-button footswitch. So what are you waiting for? Plug into the Mesa Rectifier Badlander and experience its pure legendary power!

Great combo amp!
Admittedly, this is the first tube amp I've purchased, but I really enjoy it. Great tones in all three modes, sounds great with my pedalboard, and really straightforward to setup and get the sound I want. Having the ability to setup each channel in any mode adds a lot of versatility. As you'd expect with a Mesa, it's really well built too. The CabClone IR and headphone output are icing on the cake.
Mesa Badlander 25
So far I'm loving this little amp. Light, versatile and plenty loud. Very responsive to my playing, and made in USA.
Thanks to Aaron and Sweetwater for the usual above and beyond service!
Incredible tone, great pacakge
I'm a long time Line 6 customer, mostly because of the flexibility and quality of the gear. I've had a Flextone 2x12 for 15 years, bounced around a few hundred gigs and stadiums for anthems, never missed a beat. But it weighs 80 lbs after slapping swamp thangs in it. Very tough to sling around like i used to. With the weight of all amps coming down in recent years, all i needed was some features that the Badlander delivers... half power switch, direct out, 2 full featured channels. A reverb knob would be nice, but Im going to need a few effects anyway, prolly via multi pedal. The harmonics and tactile response are as good as you can imagine from MB, and of course, it will rip your face off if you need it to. At 40 lbs, it'll save my back. And of course, you can't do better than Sweetwater for customer service.
Very bright and few cleans
This amp is decent, but has almost no cleans at reasonable volume even with low output humbuckers. Plus all the channels seriously lack low end. Overdrive sounds are good overall, especially on channel one, but very bright.
This amp really needs a 4x12 cabinet to really work.
