dbx RTA-M Measurement Microphone
dbx RTA-M Measurement Microphone Reviews
Real-time analyzer microphone for the DriveRack PA. Flat frequency response, super-accurate omnidirectional mic. Requires 15-48V phantom power to operate.
Sounds good
I do live mixing for a variety of bands, single, and duo acts both indoors and out. The use of pink noise and a spectrum analyzer are imperative for both locations. Outdoors where the reflections and absorptions are minimal gives me a baseline EQ for the mains. When I go inside of course it all changes but with this calibrated measurement mic and dbx speaker management equipment, my job is easier, It's able to minimize feedback and provide quality sound to the audience.
Work as advertised...
Using with my dBx VENU360 I'm able to level and EQ a room quickly. I really like the storage case.
Awesome RTA Mic!
I'm using this mic with the Behringer Ultra Curve Pro! The Behringer RTA mic was not available when I need one
to calibrate my Studio speakers, and Control room after the room renovations we did. So the dbx RTA-M had good reviews
so I decided to go with it! Great Mic! Worked well with the Ultra Curve! And the price was great too! Got my Three sets of
Speakers calibrated and my room! Thank you Sweetwater for suggesting this mic! you guys are AWESOME!!!

I like it.
Works well with the DriveRack.
Microphone
My son just loves it for his studio
NEVER WORKED PROPERLY
Never Worked Properly called tech support the said no updates so the brand new JBL Powered Speakers have have not been added so anything that was made in the last two years aren't in the presets
A necessity for ease.
You need this mic if you get a driverack. This is the sword of the musketeer and makes setup happen in just a couple pink noise cycles.
great product
this mic does exactly what I need it to do without any issue. build quality is very well done and exceeds the price point for measurement mics.
It does what I needed it to do
Pros: it does exactly what it says it will and does it well
Cons: I have no other use for it other then to set up my drive rack
RTA-M very good for EQ'ing mixing/production room
Very good product, great price, simple to use. Was able to set up my sub and my near fields and my room EQ with ease.
Have a DriveRack PA+? You need this.
If you have a DriveRack PA+ you need this. Plug this puppy in run the setup on the driverack and WOW.
perfect pitch
Best problem solver anywhere!!!
Can't beat it for the money
I have 3 of them and typically use them with EASRA and EASRA Systune. The only problem I had was finding a calibrator that fits them. I have put them up against, Earthworks M30s, DPA type 4007s and several Larson Davis and B&K Analyzers and as long as they are properly calibrated, they work fantastically for the money. They obviously are not quite on par with the high dollar stuff, but for the dollar amount, I have found nothing better.

The dbx RTA-M is a good Mic. I used 2 of them with my SIA SMAART system and got reasonable results.
