Pearl Roadshow RS584C/C 4-piece Complete Drum Set with Cymbals - Charcoal Metallic

Pearl Roadshow RS584C/C 4-piece Complete Drum Set with Cymbals - Charcoal Metallic Reviews
The Pearl Roadshow makes a solid foundation for the budding drummer and a mighty club kit for the weekend warrior. It's a great-sounding set of drums on its own — its 6-ply poplar shells with modern 45-degree bearing edges deliver a modern, lively attack that's inspiring behind the kit and easy to capture with a mic. This complete 4-piece kit includes drums, cymbals, hardware — even sticks and a stick bag — so players can get up and drumming right away. Quality meets value in the Pearl Roadshow series from Sweetwater.
Great beginner set of drums
This drum set was recommended by my son's teacher. It's fairly easy to put together, just takes some time. Shipping was fast and customer service was great! This gets used several times a day and sounds great.
Awesome set!
I bought this set for my son as his first kit and I am not disappointed. He is 7 and while it's a little big still he can play it no problem and will be able to play it for a long time. I can even sit down and have fun playing it! For the price, the hardware, shells and heads are great! Kick pedal surprised me with some quality action. My only complaint is the cymbals but that is a very minor thing at this point in his learning. I highly recommend this as a starter kit or even as a fun little kit for an adult to have to practice on.
Roadshow
Awesome for the price. Needs new cymbals and heads and it will come alive. Not sure how I didn't notice my kick drum was damaged, it was apparently dropped (probably during shipping). I filled the crack with glue, so hopefully it holds up, so far so good.
Should have bought the 5 piece
The four piece is a good set if you are looking for a particular style of music but for learning fills having the extra tom and a real stand makes a difference. The hardware and shells are good products considering the price, but the symbol holder is wonky and seems out of place. Considering the minor cost of upgrading to the five piece where you get a real symbol stand and another tom plus the kick is not such a small 18". Trying to upgrade the four piece separately will cost much more than if you go with the five piece in the first place.
Awesome
Perfect first kit for my 6 year old son. He is large for his age and would very quickly out grow the junior kits. This will be perfect to grow with him for years. The drums sound great for the price - even the snare. The cymbals are not great but are much better than what would come with any other junior kits. For a complete kit for my son this is perfect and more than I expected for the price.
Surprisingly good!
I needed a small club/cocktail/practice kit and the Roadshow does not disappoint! I own a custom Pearl Reference, so I'm particular. The sound, looks and overall feel are very good. The 18" bass drum has good thump , the toms stay in tune and have good overall tone and the snare pops nicely! This is a perfect kit for what I use it for or beginners. Side note- I don't use the cymbals, hi hat stand or bass pedal. This is a preference . They all seem decent for a beginner. I gave them to my niece :) So! Call Sean Geyer. He will help you pick one up in minutes.
Excellent!
I'm a guitarist of 50 yrs. Always wanted to learn drums but some guitar gear was always vying for my wallet. I saw this and thought, well, I know you don't get something for nothing, but I couldn't find a cheaper start. I mean, it even has a throne and stick bag. It is all you need. I've a lot to learn and it's tons of fun, big change for me, and it isn't easy learning to be quadredextrious. (if that's a word). The drums sound great, I've yet to get the small tom where I like it, and the cymbals, you know are there just so you have some, but even they surprise me. You should get yourself a set and start banging.
