my new Revstar

Music Background: 20 years playing guitar, bass, drums and vocals.

Excellent guitar. Not just for the price...it's just as nice as my Gibson Les Paul Standard. I'd definitely say it's better than any Epiphone I've ever owned. The pickups are AMAZING. very clear and articulate without sounding sterile. This guitar, in my opinion, is ready to gig and would perform just fine on a big stage. The color is amazing, I wouldn't call it "gold." I can't find a downside to this guitar yet. I've been testing it (A/B) against my Epiphone LP Standard and my 1960 Standard V1 w/ major Gibson modifications...the Yamaha is the better guitar out of the 3. sounds better, feels better (i LOOOOVE the neck), and the action is almost too low and still doesn't buzz anywhere. It's also cheaper than a new Epiphone Les Paul.

If you're looking for a guitar that you can grow into and keep as a workhorse, this is it. I can't imagine a better guitar for the price other than POSSIBLY my Harley Benton Fusions...

Revstar RS420

Very nice neck, thin Finish is also good. If you think that you will get a killer tone out of these Humbuckers,you will not. It a great couch guitar. Used it gigging out when I broke a sting on my Tele,tough to dial in and get the kick out of it.

This guitar is spectacular for the $. Feels like quality, fretboard plays fantastic, good looks. The maya gold is better looking in person, than on the picture. This guitar sets in rotation with the likes of epi LP stnd pro, Ibanez & others. Thanks to Sweetwater for great customer service!
