Introduced in 2014, the J-15 acoustic-electric guitar represents a new direction for Gibson Acoustic's round-shoulder dreadnought body style. From its initial concept, the designers at Gibson wanted the J-15 to feature a unique combination of North American tonewoods, including walnut back and sides topped by Sitka spruce. The outcome was a classic full-bodied tone with a slightly different sonic result — a result that players of the new J-15 agree is warm, resonant, and full.
