Singing snare
I was looking for a snare that cracks and sings. The Yamaha is exactly it. I'm a snare drum freak and I have several now with this one added to my repertoire. As always wonderful selection and service from Sweetwater.

After buying multiple maple and steel snares and still not getting the sound I wanted, I did my research and decided to give this snare a try. Best decision I've made in my 30 year drumming career! Tuned high, medium, or low this snare cracks and attacks! The brass shell sings with every hit. I researched just about all brands and models and I'm telling you it doesn't get any better than this snare!
