Great Headphones
Lightweight and comfortable. The longer cord is so useful. The sound is good and perfect for my home studio.
Great sound for the price!
I use it for keyboard, drum machine, and my guitar headphone amp primarily. I also have used it for music, movies and TV and found it to be decent sounding overall. This is not an audiophile or studio grade headphone but it's pretty good all around and it really cant be beat for the price.
Roland RH-5 Headphones
I use these with a guitar plugged into a headphone amp. They sound pretty good for the money.
Just what I needed
I ordered these to go with my Roland keyboard and they are just great! I wanted a quality sound but did not need an expensive set of studio monitoring headphones. For the price and intended application, these are just what I wanted!
Great customer service & product
My son absolutely loves these! The customer service was phenomenal (as always) and I was so glad to see that you guys still have candy in the packages! :)
Great headset! Nice sound quality.
The sound in the ears was what I was looking for. It has enough bass but not so much you feel like you are listening to a muffled sound.
It has good treble so you can hear notes clearly as well as voice.
Thanks!
Dennis.
They sound great
I like the balance of the high and low.

Great product for the price
Headphones for easy listening
I really like the sound presentation and the fit of the headphones. My only complaint is the cord is way too long. It is very easy to trip you up or tangle, causing the cassette player to fall. I think that is a dangerous situation.
Excellent Purchase!
Sound quality is very good. I use them with my Korg B2 digital piano.
Roland RH-5 Headphones
I don't have extensive experience with headphones, have only owned Shure SH440, which need repair. Shure is heavier, with ability to fold into smaller package. The Shure speakers appear to be more substantial and sound is very good.
The Roland weighs less(which may benefit some users} does not have the ability to fold into smaller profile but have a very good sound. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the Roland and the price is half that of the Shure.
Best Budget Headphones I’ve Owned so far
I bought these for a pair or headphones to monitor and demo sounds with before recording them into my daw. I'm wouldn't recommend mixing with them. Insert some random Canadian yelling about mixing on headphones here.
Just for context I was using an Audio-Technica BPHS-1. Those have better sound quality but aren't really for doing a whole mix or practical for a headphone jack on a synth. Even less given the mic cable and lack of a 1/4 to 3.5mm adapter.
I then to wear the Audio Technical BPHS-1 less and the Roland RH-5 more. As they are lighter so I do most of my basic studio tasks with them instead plus the ear pads have held up better than my BPHS-1. I Know they aren't the best headphones but I have a good idea where they lying to me.
Terrible Headphones
My mistake: I was warned by the sales rep that these were under his price threshold for decent headphones but I've bought inexpensive headphones in the past and was happy enough, so decided to take a chance. I was also thinking they are made by Roland so they are probably OK.
They were well packaged - so far so good. I pulled them out and tossed the box and plugged them in. I was using them on my Roland v-drums and maybe it was too much to ask of them but the volume level was anemic the distortion was awful. I kept doing an A-B with my Pioneer headphones - which didn't cost much more and could not believe the difference. I expected more of Roland. If you buy them don't expect much.
Terrible!!!
These headphones are by far the worst I've ever had!! There are low, the quality is ok but I expected more from Roland! I am very disappointed!!
