The Pinnacle of 7-string Craftsmanship

The Ibanez Prestige RGDR4327 solidbody electric guitar could be your ultimate 7-string metal axe. It all starts with the distinctively sculpted, resonant, and beautifully balanced mahogany RGD body. The RGDR4327 gives you an alarmingly fast 5-piece maple/wenge Wizard-7 Prestige neck with 24 jumbo frets, treated with the Prestige fret-end treatment for a superior playing experience. You'll have no trouble turning up the heat with this guitar's punishing DiMarzio Fusion Edge 7 humbucking pickups, which are custom-designed for lowered tunings. For a masterfully crafted seven-string experience, you won't be disappointed with the Ibanez Prestige RGDR4327 solidbody electric guitar.

Prestige: performance and style

Ibanez put production seven-string guitars on the map, largely thanks to the effortless playability of their Wizard-7 neck. Prestige takes that seven-string feel to the max. The RGDR4327's wicked-fast Wizard-7 Prestige neck lets you execute lightning-fast runs, arpeggios, and hammer-ons with silken ease, but it still gives you the substance you need for comfortable chording. The Ibanez Prestige RGDR4327 also gives you a ton of tone and scorching hot looks.

Lo-Pro Edge 7 bridge

The RGDR4327's Lo-Pro Edge 7 bridge was designed by Ibanez to give you the fast response and snap you need to pull off sharp bends and flutters. The extreme stability of this knife-edge-style vibrato's stud-lock function is one of the many reasons it's a favorite among today's top shredders as well as many of the guitarists here at Sweetwater. If you're looking for a guitar that can stand up to extended playing sessions without losing its tuning, you're going to love the RGDR4327.

Fusion Edge 7 humbuckers deliver a massive tonal range

With the Ibanez RGDR4327's two DiMarzio Fusion Edge 7 humbucking pickups designed to handle down tuning, you'll have a massive reservoir of tone on tap. The result of a collaboration between Ibanez and noted pickup maker DiMarzio, Fusion Edge humbuckers deliver a powerful scooped sound with tight, compressed bass response and crisp high-end articulation — ideal for bludgeoning djent chugs and high-speed staccato riffing. The RGDR4327's DiMarzio Fusion Edge pickups deliver the aggressive yet precise tone that the modern metal guitarist needs. Thanks to its 26.5-inch scale length, the low end of this guitar will surprise you. Although it's definitely a metal machine, the RGDR4327's fast playability and tonal variety make it a great guitar for almost any style.

Ibanez: a brief history

Ibanez’s obsessive attention to detail has made the company a global guitar and bass powerhouse, but it didn’t happen overnight. Ibanez began its life in 1908 as the Hoshino Gakki company in Nagoya, Japan. However, the company didn’t get into the guitar business until 1929, when it started importing Salvador Ibanez guitars from Spain. In 1935, Hoshino Gakki began building Spanish acoustic guitars under the “Ibanez Salvador” name, which was later shortened to Ibanez. Although Ibanez started manufacturing electric guitars in 1957, the company was relatively unknown in the West until the 1960s, when it started producing guitars based on American designs. By the late 1970s, Ibanez began manufacturing the innovative, original guitar and bass designs that the company is now known for. The company is also famous for its effect pedals, most notably the Tube Screamer. Sweetwater is proud to offer you such a fine line of distinguished musical instruments.
