This seems like such a solid piece of kit, but needing a laptop to use it at all in this day and age makes this an instant no go.

this controller has many features, one is its built like a tank,2nd is that is has a fan in the back to keep itself cool during a hot outside cookout, Rane the company has listened to the dj's very well, round of a applauds for that most definitely,No plastic parts period, Pioneer cannot compete at this point, Rane i am SOLD!!!, Thanks Sweetwater for selling this mack truck of a controller and i thank you for your customer service

One plus Four equals Performer!
Having started on the Rane One, followed by the Four, the Performer is the best of both. For me, I like the tactile feel of the motorized platters when beat matching. The built-in STEMS and FX controls are handy. This hardware automatically activates Serato DJ Pro. If you want the look, feel, and heft of motorized platters, appreciate Rane's excellent build quality, and enjoy Serato DJ Pro, I expect you'll be glad to have the Performer. One half star deducted until minor software issues are resolved. I've had the whole thing freeze up on me during a show, something that didn't happen to me with the One or the Four.

The Rane Performer is the best DJ system that comes close to the turntables of the 80s. I've been a DJ since 1985 in a nightclub in Brazil and the Rane Performer takes me back in time, it's like I'm using my old turntables (SL 1900 Technics).

The quality is great, the design is phenomenal. Serato stems can be great and sometimes mediocre, hopefully they improve on the separation tech with ML tools like moises. But this thing is so much fun.
