If your in the market for a pair of ribbon mics at a great price, look no further, these mics sound great on anything I put them on, and they are built to last,also the size and form factor make them easy to use.

I record at home, mostly drums. I bought these to use in various functions, but so far, they're really upped my kick sound (outer kick mic) as well as hi-hat. For hi-hat, I'm using it in combination with Shure SM81. The Shure's give me the nice transients, these add some nice body.

I wanted to add some ribbons to my collection, and I knew I wanted something relatively affordable that wasn't as dark as Fatheads. The R-10s have delivered. While I haven't had a chance to use them on everything I'd like to yet, I've been very pleased with the sounds I've gotten using one of these on acoustic guitar, saxophone, and a pair on grand piano. They come in a super solid carrying case with drawstring mic covers. Nice touch! My sales engineer Ryan was super helpful when I was trying to figure out the financing. Definitely worth the dough if you want a serious ribbon for a decent price.

Love these mics. I bought one to try it out and liked it so much I ordered a stereo pair as well. Super awesome on guitar cabs paired with a 57.

I haven't had them very long yet, but the past two days (I can only mess around with recording stuff on the weekends), I have been having a blast getting to know this matched pair of R-10s and hearing myself on recording sounding as I hear myself in real life. I play trombone (mostly orchestral) and have always been complimented on my rich, singing tone, but whenever I would record on other equipment I had handy, that quality didn't come through. This is the first time I can record something and recognize my own sound on playback. It's awesome! It took me a lot of research time online reading blogs, asking questions, and tracking down equipment used in recordings to decide that using ribbon mics was the solution for capturing the sound quality that is so important to me when I play. The fact that Royer Labs makes these sturdy, more affordable ribbon mics gave me the courage and inspiration to try my theory out. Thank you. I'm super excited to see what I can do now that I've got these.
