Been loving it
As always, PreSonus delivering quality products at affordable prices! Fender, keep it up.
A great upgrade choice
I purchased the Quantum HD 2 to upgrade an older, entry-level interface. The difference is notable. It's easy to plug in and use, and the Universal Control software is up and running in no time.
The auto-gain feature works great, and I use it often. And the integration with Studio One is really useful ... things like storing and recalling the input gain on channels via the DAW is a nice touch.
I've been able to use the instrument level outputs for reamping as well. This output level is fixed, which took me a short time to figure out, as I was new to reamping.
I definitely recommend the Quantum HD interfaces, especially if you mix in Studio One or interface with other Presonus software/hardware.
Excellent Interface! Great customer service!
Great stuff
Got used, paired with audient Evo sp8 preamps with ADAT, no latency issues, clear preamps with loads of gain, very intuitive with the auto gain features.
Great but limited
I purchased the HD2 to replace my Presonus Studio 192 Mobile, but I didn't realize that it can only record 2 channels simultaneously, thus the "2" in the name I suppose, lol. For example, if you plug your keyboard into the front 2 inputs (stereo), that disables the back 2 inputs, so you can't record your mic in the back at the same time. I'm a Presonus fan, and I'm sure this product is great, but doesn't work for me. I'll probably swap it for the ES4 model since I need more inputs, but not all of the digital audio stuff.
