A Must-Have for Every Mic in Your Studio
I have one of these Quick Changer Mic Adapters for every mic I own—and I wouldn't go without them. Swapping mics has never been easier. Whether I'm switching from my EV RE20 to my Shure SM7B, it's literally just a click away.
I use them on spring-loaded pod arms in my project studio, and they work flawlessly. The build quality is excellent—solid, reliable, and built to last. I've had some of mine for years and they still perform like new.
If you're tired of wasting time unscrewing and rethreading mic mounts every time you want to change your setup, this adapter is a game changer. It's a simple tool, but it makes a huge difference in workflow. Highly recommended!
Works!
It does what is says it does there's nothing I can find fault with. I needed to be able to fit my stands in a shorter case be choice so I bought stands that are 3 tear so they fold down and I was barely able to fit a stand with a boom and added this so I could quickly remove the boom from my stand and bow they both fit really nicely!
These work for me
Every mic stand I own is equipped with these, as are most of my mics. Some are black and some are chrome. It just depends on what looks better with the mic or stand. I do not know the difference between these and the more expensive Atlas version. I tried a couple other disconnects, but they did not seem any stronger or more stable. If any of my mics were super expensive or heavy, I might not use one of these. Or if it was an overhead boom, but then I have not tried it. The only downside is that you have to buy both parts. If there was a way to buy just the microphone portion, it would make my day. I have more mics than stands because I do not need a stand for every mic.
Inferior
This push-button design simply doesn't cut it. Unlike the Frameworks mount with its easy pop-in hex shaft, the On-Stage mount only attaches when the button and slot are aligned at one point of the compass. You have to make absolutely certain that the button engages or you'll drop the mic. You also have to push the button when mounting as well as unmounting. If you are working in the dark, it is a huge pain in the neck.
At this price point, paying more for a better mount is a no-brainer. I would totally avoid the On-Stage mount and go with the Frameworks. I don't even carry it as a back up. It lives in a box in the back of the closet with all the other dud gear I've collected over the years.

Buy it and you will never strip threads of expensive microphones!
Married with kids?
If you are married with kids you need one of these for every mic stand you own. Use the little bit of time you have to record instead of fiddling with mic clips. If you have them on your stands and clips it makes swapping mics for different applications a breeze. Prevent set-up rage and have fun.
Does what it's suppose to do
Does what it should do.
Works well
Does what it's supposed to. Simple device that works well. Feels solid. If you want one of these, this will do the job.
