Cordoba Protege C1 Matiz Acoustic Guitar - Pale Sky Reviews
The Protégé C1 Matiz acoustic guitar from Cordoba is perfect for the beginning or emerging guitarist looking for a full-size nylon-string guitar. The C1 Matiz features a spruce top with mahogany back and sides, producing a beautiful blend of low end and punchy midrange with upfront treble. The smooth mahogany neck with maple fingerboard offers immaculate response and playability — ideal for exploring classical passages up and down the neck. Here at Sweetwater, we love that Cordoba also included plenty of stage-ready appointments and design elements on the C1 Matiz, including a wood-inlaid ghost rosette soundhole, a maple bridge, and a high-gloss polyurethane finish that really allows the natural spruce shine.

Awesome Addition to the Collection
This is an awesome guitar; the color, the maple fretboard, and the gig bag with the matching color are really cool. It has awesome low end and some good sustain. The only problem is the frets are so sharp that it's literally cutting my hand up when I play. I need a guitar tech to try and smooth them out. Other than that, no complaints.
Ridiculously sharp frets
I was really excited to get a Cordoba as I had gotten so many recommendations for them as a great budget classical guitar brand, but not only was the wood incredibly warped to the point I had to return it (This COULD have been because of the previous owner, it WAS used) but also the fret edges were so stupidly sharp on the higher frets, it's literally a hazard to play this guitar. My first Cordoba experience kinda sucked, I expected more from their budget end.
