Passive 8-channel DI with Custom Transformers

The ProD8 is a high-density rackmountable 8-channel direct box that is specifically designed to interface keyboards and pre-recorded backing tracks to the PA system with redundant inputs for live performance back-up. The ProD8's input panel is equipped with two A-B 1/4" inputs per DI channel for main and back-up sources, throughput for personal monitoring and an effects loop that allows both A-B sources to share the same effects for each channel. The output panel features a XLR connector, -15dB input pad selector and ground lift witch. A 180 degree polarity reverse switch is internally mounted and factory set with pin 2 hot.

The Big Rig's favorite companion

A few things to keep in mind:
Let's say you have two stereo keyboards merged on two channels. If you don't power on both keyboards, the XLR output might distort, even with pads engaged. Disconnect what you're not using or turn on the other keyboard that shares the same channel, even if you only want to practice on one board. And remember you won't get any sound at all if you forget to power on your insert effects.
I couldn't love this box more. Strong, sturdy, and solves all sorts of problems. I especially like the reversible rack ears so that you can change its orientation in the rack.

Radial is the king of DIs

We use the ProD8 in our "tracks" rig at our church. It sounds great and does exactly what it needs to do! We use all Radial DIs, and the D8 is perfect for churches that use multi-tracks in their services.

Adds Flexibility to Your Production Environment

Quiet transformers. 2 layers of inputs makes multitracking my drum machines and synths much easier for me, without having to recable over and over. Ground lift, pads, and phase flip make it even more flexible. Considering buying another unit. Essentially doubles the inputs of my mixer without adding noise or color.
