Amazing synth!

I've had the Pro 3 for about 3 years now. In that time, it's become one of my all-time favorites. At first I bought a Moog Subsequent 37, but for some reason it didn't quite resonate with me, so I bought this.

So happy that I did. The Pro 3 is an absolute beast. It sounds devastating, and is very easy to use. I don't really geek out on the mod matrix - it's very cool, and I'll use it in the future. The third digital waveform oscillator is great. It would be cool if you could load your own samples into it, but you can't have everything.

For the most part I just pull up one of the presets, change it to sound the way I want, and jam with my friends. What more can you ask from a synth? Immediacy it what makes it so great. I think I've saved two or three patches in the last three years.

Dave Smith (RIP) knocked it out of the park with this one.

There's just a ton of functionality for the price and just about everything you could want can be patched. The only downside is that the tone can be a little thin, but the drive knob very subtilely makes up for that. You get the classic sequential filter, great sounding envelopes, a really awesome vintage knob, and a polyphonic LFO, which is by far the best part of the synth. The polyphonic LFO allows for natural sounding tones. This coupled with the five voice polyphony makes this synth perfect for keyboard players. The effects aren't great, except for the delay which is fairly straight forward, and the reverb which is good. Overall this is a great piece of hardware which is perfect for the type of musician who likes synths and complex sound design, but who also enjoys natural, evolving tones.

UPS delivered my pro 3 and 10 minutes later we had a tornado. My porch is wiped clean. Stuff all over the yard. Broken limbs everywhere and I don't care! I'm too focused on this synth. I'm already in love with it. Tomorrow I'll be busy cleaning up my property but right now I'm distracted.
I own a Korg prologue 16 and a Waldorf iridium and the pro 3 fits in between them as if it was designed as such! Truly an immediate synth. I was darting around the front panel with ease! I LOVE this synth and I've had it just 3 hours. It sounds fantastic! I've owned a prophet 08 and prophet X. This sounds way better. I'm impressed. Buy one now!

GAS influences remorseful purchases, but this one swam upstream. Chunk 3 churns out what you'd expect from the usual mono analog bedroom boredom brigade and flips the table over. It's everything you always needed and more. It cuts through the mix like butter and sits like heaven's angels wherever you choose to let her lay. Grab it before it's gone.

Who does analog synthesis better than Sequential? Short list, IMO. This synth can deliver any sound you might find on the soundtrack of Blade Runner, The Running Man, Terminator, etc. The kicker is that it can just as easily deliver to you a more aggressive, modern sound. This gives this synth a range of versatility so wide, you'd be hard pressed to cover as many bases with any single hardware synth I can think of. Though it is a mono synth, it has a paraphonic mode, which gives it the ability to play multiple notes at a time -- albeit, under the same envelope.. thus, keeping it from being technically considered a polyphonic synth. Kudos to DSI for being honest in their marketing, in that regard.

But, as you've heard from just about everyone.. this is thing is a monster. I am not exaggerating in the slightest when I tell you this is one of the most fun synthesizers I've ever had the pleasure and experience of messing around with. My particular use case is as a content creator of a horror, crime and dark media channel, and I've been told that I have perfectly nailed the gritty, authentic blend of retro and modern that can only be accomplished by truly respecting the sonic potential of the instruments of our past. Truth told, Sequential deserves much of the credit here because this synth is literally instrumental in creating that feel.

Whatever your use case (music, sound production, love of synths) you'll have a near euro-rack experience with this monster, and all of it's modulatable parameters. I've owned it for some time now, and I'm not even close to having extracted a portion of it's sonic potential. Stop mulling over it, and just order the thing already. IMO, there is no better blend of the old and the new right now in this market.

Such a full sound with really well thought-out features. Really fun to play and great feelings to all the turny bits :)

Really met my expectations. Keyboard is responsive. The analog osc and filters sound great. The 3rd digital wave table osc has variety and great timbres capable of shaping them for a wide variety of patches. Easy to program. The sequencer has many features including the ability to automate parameters even in real time overdubbing as you move the knobs. The distortion is very musical and works with many of the sounds. The effects are good and usable. Everyone has talked about the mod matrix routing and it is very easy to assign and use. This is a punchy analog mono synth with modern sound capabilities using its digital effects and wavetable 3rd osc. To me I feel like this must be like a mono analog synth version of the Moog One. A baby Moog One because of the Pro 3's flexibility, full features, and ability to create a wide variety of sounds. Highly recommended. A classic keeper. If Sequential made a poly multi voice version of this synth I would buy it too sight unseen.

I've had my Pro3 for about a month now and absolutely love it. Beautiful sound & top notch build quality. Whether it's a chunky bass line, a piercing lead or a mind bending fx patch, the pro3 delivers.

Such an awesome synth. The quality and design are what you would expect from Dave Smith.
Really like the routing options and ability to tweak the sound into stuff I have never heard before.

The sound quality on it's own is amazing. Got mine running through a Big Sky, Hypnosis, and Zen Delay into the Tascam 24 and it's another level fun for those that like those spacey chorus, delay's, and echo's while recording on the fly.

The best part about the Pro 3 in my opinion is the inspiration, it's like a muse. It want's to hear itself sound awesome.

Ok so, this thing sounds just incredible, super user friendly as well, Anyone can get this and be learning how to program and A lot of the presets are very useable and are a great place to start. This is my first mono synth and I'm blown away with it. Everything on this thing is also top notch it feels expensive and your really getting a piece of art here. I would say it's a living breathing musical instrument and will give anyone years of inspiration. Great Job Dave and Great job Joe and Sweetwater for their usual top notch service.
