Gator Frameworks Heavy-duty Keyboard Table GFW-UTILITY-TBL
Gator Frameworks Heavy-duty Keyboard Table GFW-UTILITY-TBL Reviews
Set up your keyboard with the Gator Frameworks Platform-style Keyboard Stand. This rugged steel table is ideal for keyboards, mixers, and other gear. The legs collapse for easy set up, tear down, and storage. Leveling feet let you adjust the table for any surface. Expand your rig with the Gator Frameworks Platform-style Keyboard Stand.
Better than an X stand
One million times better than an x stand. It sits flush with the wall, taking up less space, NO ASSEMBLY required, and only minimal shaking while playing.
It also has a water Balencer in the middle to tell you if it's sitting on a level surface.
This should be the standard for keyboard stands.
Quality product
Easy to set up. Sturdy. Low profile.
Much better than x-frames
Stable, highly adjustable in both height and length, and folds down flat & small for EASY transport. I also like that the space underneath is wide open. Pro tip: the telescoping inserts in the legs can be fully removed if you need the stand to go even lower, and that makes a great height if you want it to feel like sitting at a piano.
Perfect
Fully adjustable for different sizes. Good construction
Great keyboard stand
Love this stand simple to set up. Very Sturdy. Dan was a great help in deciding this for me!
Just as described
I use it in the studio to elevate my pedalboard and dial in some sounds without killing the back or knees. I'll probably use it for keyboard as well. Very sturdy and balanced, even on plush carpet. Just what the doctor ordered. Perfecto!
Meh.
Alright for home use…kind of.
Hopefully ya don't have pets or toddlers though.
Not that sturdy of a stand. Certainly would not use for heavy gigging or to hold prosumer or pro instruments.
Hopefully better purchases available at this price point.
Heavy duty
Built tough and very adjustable. Worth the weight
Keyboard Table
Excellent!
Nice sturdy Keyboard stand
Very pleased with this stand for my Studiologic SL88 Grand. It allows me to place my keyboard closer to the wall and I can also have a better playing position.
Very poorly made
Used it for 5 gigs and it broke. I don't recommend it
Utility Table
It is a very nice stand and has lots of room underneath for foot pedals. It wobbles just a little but not enough to cause any issues while the keyboard is on it.
Very steady
I started gigging this stand a few weeks ago. It replaces a heavy-awkward X stand. This stand sets up easily and once set up stands very steady. The rubber non slip top is a nice unexpected feature. I sit when I play, this stand gives me lots of room for my pedals and feet. I put off this purchase trying to make what I had work better. I'm glad I got this, it's so much nicer than the X stand.
Leaves the floor completely clear
Works perfectly with a Nord Electro 6D 61 key as well as Hammond SK1. The sliding adjustment is collapsed to minimum position for these short models, so it can accomodate the 73 key variants just as well. Its heavy duty and sturdy, and leaves the floor clear for multiple pedals like volume, sustain and rotary switch. The legs are straight and not splayed out so that it doesn't take any more footprint than the dimensions of the keyboard, required in the keyboard corner in my home studio. I won't be using the X stands anymore except when flying.
Add to specifications please: M8-1.25x25mm
Heavy Duty
This stand is awesome! I find the tabletop style is much more comfortable to play at than the standard x style stands. It's also strong enough to hold up my guitar amp and has been great for keeping my practice area nicely organized.
Perfect for my Gretsch G5700 Lap Steel
I use the table in its smallest setting and its perfect size and height for my lap steel. It would be easy to build a small wooden table top and then have my two lap steel guitars on it at once.
The table is super sturdy and the adjustments are perfect. Its quite nice looking too.
Generally happy with it
I much prefer this stand to the X-style keyboard stands out there. It's very compact for transit, and sturdy when loaded.
My only beef with this is that the feet like to run away! They are made up of the rubber sheath on a metal foot that screws into the end of extendable legs. For whatever reason, twice now I've had to go back to the car and hunt for a foot that somehow came completely unscrewed and fell off in transit after finding it missing during setup. Just now for a third time, the rubber slid off a different foot and is missing. It's a super-annoying kind of problem; all four corners need some Locktite for the foot threads and Gorilla Glue (?) to keep the rubber on them. STILL prefer this to X-stands.
Excellent Stand
Extremely heavy duty stand, zero assembly required, Keyboard does not move around or shake on the stand, and the stand does not wobble. This stand is clearly built to last a very long time. I would definitely recommend!
Broke within a year
We initially purchased this item for the travel piano stand for a local community orchestra since it was called "heavy-duty." Unfortunately, it broke within a year of steady use.
I love this stand!
Sturdy, but too low for a normal bench
I teach choir. I like how sturdy it is and how easy it was to set up. However, its lowest setting is too low for a regular piano bench. So I have to use my office chair to be tall enough.
Keyboard stand
This stand is so easy to use and very portable. It seems to be sturdy enough for what I use it for but only time will tell. In the meantime my keyboard is held perfectly in place. I like it much better than the X-stands.
Not a good stand
Very flimsy. I played 10 gigs and it wouldn't fold correctly. I'm figuring it should be sturdy for this price. Stay away
Happy I Bought
This stand is not only sturdy but it is attractive and neat. Very happy with it.
Very Sturdy, Very Solid.... Very Glad I Bought It
I purchased this stand to replace an On-Stage stand of similar design for one specific reason: the legs. My previous tabletop stand was of a similar design, but the legs spread out at an angle that ate up an additional four feet of stage space. Also the legs on this stand use push button place holders instead of thumbscrews, and this takes out all the unsurely of extending the legs for stand up performing. This stand is very solid and a little bit heavier than the Onstage or Jamstand version of this design, but the weight is a result of added stabilizing features.
Good sturdy stand, but too tall.
on the plus side, it's sturdy, folds up nicely and looks good. On the minus side, in studio use, the shortest height puts my keyboard way too high up for comfort. Apparently these stands are for standing up only. Sitting down, it's way too tall, despite that my adjustable bench is set at the highest level. As such, I'm unable to use it as intended. Keeping it as a spare for standing up gigs and unknown future use.
Thought this was the best, then....
I bought this stand a couple of years ago. It seemed really sturdy, trusted enough that I put an 18RU by 126HP Eurorack Modular Synth on it for playing shows (over $15K in modules), and only used 10 times a year, approximately. Last weekend when setting up to play a show the angled support snapped and almost dumped synth. It was just sitting there, and only weighs about 50-60 pounds.
Very nice
This is a very well built Keyboard table. It is very sturdy and can pickup and hold my Roland RD2000 very well.
ALMOST PERFECT BUT NOT QUITE!
It is a sturdy stand, no doubt about that. Has a wide variety of locked height adjustment positions. Where I feel they came up short was in the width adjustment hence the four stars instead of five rating. There are two thumbscrews provided for the width adjustment that press against the two sliding adjustment tubes. Why didn't they put holes in the tubes for the thumbscrews to be able to lock in place? As it is, you have to tighten the thumbscrews with a pair of pliers and the possibility still exists that they might slip. Outside of that point, I am fully satisfied!
Lackluster
First off, Sweetwater customer service and shipping was 5 stars as usual - this review solely reflects the quality of the "heavy duty" table. Got this table for a 32 key synth that's 24 pounds - one side of the table didn't telescope in all the way, i.e. it was bent. Looking past that, it was wobbly for a $150 table; the synth visibly shook when played lightly and was unusable for overhead video shots. Would suggest a small table from a furniture store over this, or the heavier K+M stands.
Wobbly piece of junk
Disappointed in gator.
Wobbles out of the box.
Impossible to lock width adjustment in place. The little knobs don't lock in place.
Maybe I'm using it wrong, but how should I know? There's no manual in the box.
This was gift and frankly I feel bad for my family having spent money on this.
Nice keyboard stand!
I'm very happy with this keyboard stand. It's very sturdy, doesn't wobble, and it folds up pretty small. I also like it because it looks clean and simple and doesn't have crossbeams (like an ironing board) that get in the way of my feet. It's a nice design.
Holes where the keyboard pads should go
For some strange reason they put holes in the top, so inevitably, the pads on your keyboards will either be in them, or one in and one out, etc. Really awful design. If you stretch it out to a 73 key or above it's wobbly. The optional second tier isn't width or height adjustable, so there's a good chance it won't work for your synth setup.
Perfect space saver
This was absolutely perfect for my needs! I have a very cramped music room. My guitars, amps and keyboard were all competing for space. But the GFW-UTILITY-TBL slipped right over my Fender Champion 100 so now I have the best of both worlds. This thing is sturdy, with solid construction, ample padding for non-slip and dampened support of your keyboard, and very compact for transport. I am an extremely happy camper!
Easy to set up and durable construction.
I bought this to support a recently added keyboard to my home studio. I'm limited on space and this stand fits well over a good sized amplifier, allowing more space in my studio.
Great stand for 88key weighted controller
Almost impossible to have an uneven keyboard stance unless you are playing on a steep hill. Extremely sturdy and lightweight. Fits nicely in any of my gator bags or my OnStage bags
Terrible Design Cheap Parts
I bought this stand to use for an effects rack stand next to my mixer. The first time I used it one of the little plastic feet fell off the end of the leg. The second time - another of the feet fell off AND one of the pull rings for the collapsible legs just came right off. Do not buy this if you plan on actually using it for anything, it will fall apart on you. Gator typically was my go-to for stands, but with this one I am having second thoughts. Very cheaply made and poorly designed. It misses the mark by a mile on quality. Buy another brand that quality has not become an afterthought.
GATOR FRAMEWORKS GFW UTILITY TABLE HEAVY DUTY KEYBOARD TABLE
Excellent keyboard stand!
This is an excellent keyboard stand! It's ultra-sturdy and there are no crossbeams to get in the way of your pedals. I like that the width can be adjusted and then tightened in place, as well as the peg pin leg height adjustment. It's the perfect keyboard stand in my opinion.
Not sturdy for heavier keyboards
I bought this as an alternative to the Arturia Polybrute wooden legs stand as I wanted something with adjustable height and easier to fold up when needed. Even though it was considered well under the weight limit (45 lbs to the 132 lbs capacity) I felt instantly nervous when I put it on. It never felt secure and wobbled whenever I played it. I was constantly concerned it was going to fall apart on me, which it inevitably did after having to move it around in my studio. Luckily no Polybrute was harmed in the process.
It looks and feels just as cheaply made as it is, I will be moving on to something else. I'll give it an extra half a star for collapsing up nice and small, so it doesn't take up much room in my car on its way to the dump.
Not sturdy enough, fails to stand up to road usage.
The design is nice, I like have the room underneath because I play through a leslie mostly, so I have a preamp, speed switch, volume pedal among other things. The table is not stable at all if your are a Hammond-style player. Glissandos are terrifying. Now, I have the legs fully extended out to each side which just looks silly. One of the locking dowels broke and disappeared, so now I have to shove a patch cable in there and gaff tape it at every gig. Dissapointed considering the price. I guess I'm trying a "Z" stand next.
Solid, but a little too high
The stand is strong, solid, and overall more rugged than it looks in the pictures. I was able to insert the rubber feet of my CP88 into the holes in the top of the stand, making it feel super secure. At the stand's lowest height setting it places the CP88 keys about an inch higher than my acoustic piano, which is my only complaint.
Sturdy where you want it to be
Just purchased an 88 key hammer action keyboard. It's quite heavy but also quite narrow. This stand holds it well with lots of leg room and is built to withstand your best Ben Folds imitation.
So close…
Pain in my butt. Does not travel well. I had 3 pieces fall off within 2 days of it being out of the box. The pull tabs on the underside to lock the legs out is a cheap key ring with a cloth tab. The key ring unbent and broke off the first time I pulled it. Not pleased so far.
Wobbly
Not sure if it is the design or the build quality, but when deployed, the unit moves around like a folding card table. No improvement with the keyboard set on top.
Nice stand
Seems easy to adjust, sturdy and like that the 'feet' adjust as well for 'tilt'. Easily sets up with plenty of room for long legs underneath, as I'm 6'6" tall.
Not anything like it says it is
This thing is absolute crap. It's wobbly. The level bubble is stuck to the side. The horizontal tighteners don't work so that I have to carry it lengthwise to avoid it sliding apart while I'm carrying it. One of the tags that enable the user to unlock the hinges broke after less than 10 uses. And the whole thing doesn't actually get low enough for practical keyboard playing.
I've had success with other Gator Frameworks products. Surprising this one so categorically fails to live up to its description.
Perfect Keyboard Stand at the Perfect Price:
I was looking for a Kybd stand that would accommodate at 61 to 88 size Kybd in length. I also needed the Stand & Kybd together to match the height of the edge on my Studio Desk or as close as possible. In order to get the right height I needed to remove the legs from the stand dropping it down to a total of 25" from floor to the top of the stand. I am right there now plus or minus approx. 1/2" depending on which Kybd I use on the stand for the day. Very Sturdy stand. Thanks Ian for the Idea about removing the legs. Works Great.... & the price you can't beat it. I would have given it 5 Stars, but the other 1/2 of a Star is reserved for time. Time will tell how good it holds up. which I think it will be for a long while......
Thanks again Ian

Solid
I needed a reasonably priced stand for my M-Audio Keystation 61 controller for my home studio space. This is good. Adjustable (height, width), easily movable to front of my computer work area when I need it there, doesn't wobble, and I can get my feet under it. This fits the bill for me. Recommended if you want this configuration of a keyboard stand.
Solid table, small footprint when closed.
The table is very solid. Holds my 76key keyboard without a problem. I wanted a table that would fold up small, not impede legroom and pedals, and go in a gig bag along with the keyboard. The only minor point is weight. It is a bit heavy since it is made of steel. I wonder what the trade-off would be in terms of sturdiness if it were made out of a composite material or aluminum.
Sturdy, Stable, and Adjustable
The Gator Frameworks GFW-UTILITY-TBL Heady-duty Keyboard Table (Platform Keyboard Stand) is perfect for my use.
The Gator Frameworks GFW-UTILITY-TBL Heady-duty Keyboard Table (Platform Keyboard Stand) is perfect for my use. It is solid (no rocking or movement while I play the keyboard), is very easy to set up and expand, and collapses for travel to just 3 1/4 inches high. I play while seated, so I have removed the easily adjustable legs, but the adjustments are such that I could easily stand to play. This is a great flexible choice for me!
Best in class!
Gator Frameworks GFW-UTILITY-TBL Heavy-duty Keyboard Table: easy intuitive set up, solid construction, adjustable width and height, but light and compact enough to travel. Sturdy, does not wobble, shake, rattle or roll like other keyboard stand designs. Using with Arturia Keylab 49 MkII (not the lightest of its size category)--having bumped into or rolled a chair into it often in a tight studio space, no fear of the keyboard crashing to the floor. Should be able to handle an 88-keyboard. Gator Frameworks from now on!
Great stand. No assembly reguired
Nice and sturdy. Just what I needed
solid table!
I bought this table because I needed the height it can reach. I got a surprise when I realized there were leveling end pieces on the legs, and an actual level built in to the middle of the stand! Great Idea.
Love this stand!
Too much Side-ways movement for my preference
I read all the positive reviews about how stable most found this heavy-duty table-style keyboard stand. I am always on the lookout for a lighter and more stable stand, so I figured I'd give it a try. No-go for me. I must say that it was surprisingly steady regarding any front-to-back movement. But, for me, unacceptable side-to-side movement. So I returned it. Just for the record, I'm comparing it to my base, minimum requirement - which is a K&M Model 18810 keyboard stand which is rock solid in all directions (Also purchased from Sweetwater). Unfortunately, it's heavy and not easy to transport. I guess that's the price of stability, at least until I find one better. Unfortunately, this "table" is simply not stable enough for my preference. YMMV.
Rock Solid forward & backward, but too much wobble side-to-side for my playing style
I currently am using the K&M 18810 stand, which is rock solid with no movement in ANY direction. However, it is heavy, and does not fold to a size easy to transport. Based upon the preponderance of rave reviews this Gator Works table stand received, I thought I would give it a try. I'll admit, it might be acceptable to many people, especially if they stand while playing. However, for sitting down and playing "concert style piano", this stand simply has too much side-to-side movement for my playing style. I do note, however, that it is rock solid with respect to any front-to-back movement. YMMV.
Awesome keyboard stand
For years we had the typical X shaped stand then we moved to a new house where the keyboard was placed in a tight space. Our knees kept hitting it. I wish I had known of this keyboard table sooner. No hitting our knees and overall it juts looks nicer - less frame to see.
strong stand
I was a little bit nervis about it at first I did not think it was going to hold up, but 9 months later it is still going strong. it folds down so small. it holds up my Yamaha s90xs with out a problem. as always, thanks to Sweetwater for grait and fast service!
Keyboard Stand
Not very stable when extended. I stand to play and it fell over when our singer bumped it. Only have a Korg Kross 61 sitting on it. Don't recommend. I'd send back but wife thru out original package. So I'm stuck with it. AHHGGG!!
Solid & Priced Right
I bought this to take on gigs; I am certainly not a full time professional by any means but our band plays a number of gigs a year. I also own a similar stand made by On Stage Stands, but this one is of superior quality. Very sturdy, folds up to a compact size. Heavier than the On Stage version. I like the built in level.
Not sturdy for heavy keyboard
I had a bad feeling when I unfold the keyboard stand. It feels a little wobbly. I tried to stand it up and thought it will be better when I adjust the legs. But it didn't. I have a very heavy keyboard (100lbs) that I plan to use it on. Put it on for 5 seconds and realise I have to return it.
Great Lap Steel Guitar Stand, Dual Purpose Stand.
Unstable table when fully extended
Wobbly, unstable and clickety clanky when fully extended.
I needed a table style keyboard stand to put over my guitar peddleboard so an X brace style keyboard stand would not work for me. When fully extended tona standing position, this stand and wobbles to and fro, like you are on a ship in a stormy sea, and the extended legs rattle like crazy -
I took a video to demonstrate but I"m not allowed to post it in this review.
Will send video demonstration upon request- my e mail is :
first last name at that popular G mail account.
I"m returning this item. Thank god I purchased from Sweetwater
(who will make things right I"m sure! )
garbage stand
The first one arrived looking like the metal... child of M.C. Escher and Rube Goldberg. Obviously no one had ever really looked at it, let alone set it up. Either that or the high kids welding parts were having a laugh that day. Suffice to say it would not stand and I would not stand for that. Sweetwater was, as always, great about its timely replacement. The welds on that one held for just a little too long to reasonably expect Sweetwater to send me a third: about 6 months. While that one worked it swayed. The idea of straight legs is nice: the realoty is rickety.
Still looking for a sturdy road-ready table stand.
Just what I needed
I was looking for a desk for my recording booth that could fit specific dimensions. This piece of gear did exactly what I needed it to do. Along with a shelf top, it's just what I wanted. Very happy. Julio did a great job searching for what I was looking for. Sweetwater customer service rocks!
Not that great!
It's wobbly. It does not extend to full length of an 88 key. Not HEAVY DUTY at all… If you're picky like me, don't but this.
GREAT STAND
AWESOME STAND VERY STURDY! NO COMPLAINTS! SOLID! CONVENTION FOLD OVER DESIGN! AWESOME!!
Gator Frameworks Table
Great Table. I have two. Keyboard on one and pedalboard on another. Pretty hard to knock this one over. If you want the best this is probably it.
Gator keyboard
Dave snow. Great in service. Very knowlegable
Gator Table
LOVE THE TABLE... It's easy to set up and holds all my equipment. The holes in the table make simple to hide wires and cables. It could use some sort of handle design to make it easier to carry and the holding screws don't do anything, but its still a great table
Gator Frameworks GFW-UTILITY-TBL
It's exactly what I needed.
I like!
Techs are awesome with the device and knowledge. Thanks
quality (out of) control
Bought one only to find it was a complete piece of garbage: legs and hinges all kinds of messed-up. Obviously no one had ever bothered to set the thing up. Or, if they did, they sold it anyway...
Cheerfully and quickly replaced by Sweetwater, the second one is not going to collapse, but there is more sway than advertised. But then, it's a hundred dollar stand. I'd pay $ for a stable table this size and style that was rock solid. Those Gibralter erector sets seem a bit too complex for club date one-nighters. I'll keep the Gator but the search continues.
Solid and Adjustable
This is a fantastic stand. Period. If you hate your keyboard bouncing around, and want a stand for one keyboard that is wonderfully adjustable in both height and width, get this. I've had many keyboard stands and this is the one for home or stage.
Solid stand
I needed a stand for my 49-key Arturia keyboard. This thing is quite sturdy and highly adjustable. Just what I needed.
Very Nice!
It served my purpose and I like the options to extend/raise/lower and fold up to put away. I've had other stands before but I use them at home so they look ugly and are bulky. I also had to stand up to play. I was looking for something I could put my Moog Sub 37 on and play while sitting on my chair, plus have next to my main desk. I also needed it to look nice as my room has nice dark furniture. This has fit the bill very nice. I recently extended it and made room for a DSI Tetra. Very happy with it.
Great purchase
You wouldn't think a stand could make such a difference but it has. I dont play out that much on keyboard, I use this in the studio, I can play pretty hard and I was tired of the way X-type stands, even more heavy duty ones, can kind of waver and shift as you play them. Never happens with this baby. And for me, a big plus is being able to sit down and position your pedal without the X getting in the way. It folds up neatly, though it is not particularly light. But I think the heft contributes to its solidity and stability. And it certainly is portable. If your looking for a great, reliable stand and weight is not an issue, look no further. This is the best.
Great Portable Table
This is a strong and easy to set up table. I can stand on it (180lbs) with no flexing and it feels rock solid. It folds up to a flat package and is easy to store/transport. The main use, for me, is to hold a mixer with assorted gear (wireless transmitters, et al). I don't always have a lot of room to set up and the small foot print of this table is perfect. I am very happy with this table (I know, I need to get out more).
Well designed and built
I assumed I'd be needing to anchor this stand to to my computer desk to make it absolutely solid, but to my surprise, my Kawai mp7 sits very firmly. I don't feel any "wiggle" in the keyboard as I'm playing!....and I have a thick carpeting and padding on the floor underneath the feet. Tip: if you need your keyboard to sit a little lower, just remove the adjustable legs (like I did). I like my keys at 29.5" from the floor. Is this stand as rock solid as the Roland? Probably not.....but it's not $240 either. That said, this stand works great for me.....and I'm a stickler for any movement in the keyboard while playing.
What a table!
I usually don't '5' anything, but this table deserves it. It's heavy, but, man it's stout. Easy to set up. I have no doubt it will serve for many years, and if you give up on music, you can use it in your wood shop!
Solid!
I'm using this to house my Roland FA-08 and that keyboard isn't small or light by any means! This stand works very well and it doesn't wobble around as bad as some of the other lower cost units I've tried. This unit is fully adjustable for height and width and locks up like a bank vault! It also folds up to a very compact size for travel or storage if that's a concern to you, and it's very easy to take down.
I own several products from Gator and they really make some nice quality stuff for a great price, A big thanks to Gator for great products and a big thanks to Sweetwater for making them available to us!
I'd buy one again for sure and highly recommend this stand to anyone that wants a quality stand for their keyboard for a fair price.
Gator piano stand
very well built and sturdy.
Sturdy!
This is a good and sturdy stand at a reasonable price, which is exactly what I wanted. I've seen stands collapse on fellow musicians during a show and I didn't want that to happen to me. I'm quite pleased with it.
If there is anything bad to say about it, it would be that even at its lowest height setting it's a bit too tall when using a standard piano bench. For me it is, anyway. Maybe not for you. I'd feel a lot more comfortable if I could lower it another two or three inches.
More Than a Keyboard Table
Best Keyboard Stand features have found.
Really good stand. Leg extensions push buttons for height adjustments are the best quality and give the best stability. Ordered a second one today so can have one for sitting and one for standing position.
Not that great
I have had this rig for over a year and it's just not held up us well as I though it would. The stand was excellent in the first few months but then noticed that it began to wobble. Since then the levels have bent, making it difficult for the legs to lock in place and the wobbly stand has put me in the market to look for another. I transport it once a week and take good care of it, so it's not due to excessive wear and tear...it just hasn't lived up to expectations.
Gator Frameworks Heavy Duty Keyboard Table
This keyboard stand is exactly what the title says "Heavy duty" keyboard table. I had been using a top of the line double X-type keyboard stand for my full size Kawai ES-6 digital piano because x-type stands were reputed to be the sturdiest, but that darn X got in the way of my legs and feet and using the pedals. Well, they have met their match with this Gator Frameworks table. I have had no wobbling or experience of instability at all. I followed the suggestion of a previous reviewer who said to just give a gentle kick out to the legs when setting it up. Folding it for moving takes only about 10 seconds; it is so easy. I have been using this stand for a few months and am totally satisfied.
The Best
I've used probably any keyboard stand that has been made........and this is the best, and strongest one I have ever used. I gig 1-2 times a week and it has held up great over the past year.
Nope.
Mine broke three shows into a tour, with a 41 pound keyboard.
Gator Heavy Duty Keyboard Table
Got this to support some heavy old stuff that has cluttered up the recording area, and it seems to hold well over 125 pounds handily. Has a little bit of sway, but if there was a keyboard on top, I think it would be just fine. For the bucks, it's a good deal...may order another as we expand the studio area.
Solid. Great Deal!
Don't have to worry about this stand collapsing like an "x" stand can, and yes, I have had that happen. Seeing your investment crashing to the ground will make you never trust an "x" stand again. Plus, this Gator Frameworks Keyboard Stand is very adjustable, has a built in bubble level, and is crazy solid. I have my Yamaha CP4 stage piano on it, and granted, that's not the heaviest stage piano going, but no matter how hard I play, I never have to worry about this stand. Easy setup, looks nice, and the price is great.
Fastest delivery by Sweetwater as always.
portable
I like it! Very adjustable in height and width. Folds up very compact and not heavy. Seems to be strong although I've not tested beyond my Korg SV1-88 key. No dancing on it or anything stupid. When I first set it up it seemed to wiggle a little, but once my keyboard is on it I don't feel the wiggle at all.
Should've Bought It Sooner
I messed up my posture for years thinking my X-Stand would be adequate since I already owned it. Nonsense. Better for your back, comfort, and overall ergonomics in the "everyman" studio space. Just wish it had a hook to tuck my headphones away.
A Disappointment
This was a sad disappointment for me. I had been lusting for the more expensive, high-end stands by various makers. I finally decided, "Hey, it's only a stand, not a piece of art," and went for this one. I was swayed by all the reviews saying how steady and sturdy it was. Nope. I tried everything, with and without weight on the stand. Regardless, it jiggled and swayed. I even turned it upside down and checked all the fittings, looking for places to tighten, etc. No dice. This is no better than a similar, less expensive stand I bought for an old Yamaha 88-keyboard 20 years ago. A cute little bubble level is not enough to make this worth $100.
Great Purchase
Great stand. Beautiful. Excellent construction. Couldn't ask for a better way to set up my keyboard as I needed to. Thank you, Sweetwater!
Not as sturdy as they claim it is.
I bought this for a Roland PF 80 Keyboard. I read what Gator had to say about this stand, so I bought it sight unseen. My mistake. I am not a heavy player at all, but this stand is not at all what they say it is as far as being sturdy.
Better Quality that Others
This table is great. I was not expecting it to be so well built and easy to adjust. Love that you can get it level easy. Also the padding on the top keeps my board from sliding. Glad I paid a little extra for this one.
Keep looking
This is not a very stable table. I like the compactness but the instability is a concern.
A good buy
I don't regret paying a little more for this keyboard stand. It's really solid -- not a hint of wobble. Vastly preferable from a performing standpoint over other types of keyboard stands. Very easy to set up.
Nice sturdy keyboard stand!
This Heavy Duty keyboard stand is everything I was hoping it would be.
It folds and unfolds with ease. No wobble as I play my keyboard with
energetic flair, as I sometimes do.
quick set up
Only other time I used a stand like this was under a Nord keyboard. plenty of room for my pedal board underneath and my volume pedal and can move my legs around much easier than the stands that have the cross legs underneath. Am very pleased with this stand.
Sturdy, but tall
I needed a sturdy stand for my 50lb KB with enough portability to go in the trunk of a car. This fits the bill very nicely as I really don't care for the less expensive X-style stands.
It's very solid, goes together easily and collapses to a small footprint. My only complaint is that it won't allow my KB to sit at a standard piano height. That's not too big a deal since I have an adjustable bench, but if they made a slightly shorter one, that would ideal for me.
Just what I needed
The square tubular framework on this unit makes it about 10 times stronger than the round tubular model which means it will last much longer. One issue with this type of stand is that there can be a slight movement from left to right. To solve this, once there is weight on the stand, just give a slight pull on one set of legs, pulling it away from the other set. This spreads the legs and takes it out. This is how I took care of the wobble of the round tube model, but this eventually cracked the welds of the horizontal leg support bar on that unit. This unit, having square legs, has superior welds and will never break. And it's just all around built better.
A solid stand
Very nice, folds up easily. Only negative is that in its lowest setting the legs are still a bit long, making the keyboard a little higher than most X-braced stands I've used, so have an adjustable seat or throne to match it
Keyboard Stand Works Great!
I love my new Gator Frameworks Platform-style Keyboard Stand! The only minor complaint i have is that it is a LOT heavier than i was expecting. I was kind of thinking i might be able to strap it to my keyboard for easy carrying solutions, but it's way too heavy for that. But i suppose that will also make it more sturdy. So in that sense, i'm pretty happy with it.
Very good for the price
This is built like a tank. I use this to hold my DJ coffin. It is a little more then i need but then again .... better to be safe then sorry!
Gator Frame
Sturdy, but does not fit the slots on my MOXF 8.
Awsome!
Great stand. Very stable and the rubber pads on top keep the keyboard from sliding around.
Sturdy. Built to last.
This is one of the best, if not the best keyboard stand. I love it so much, I own two. This stand can hold any size keyboard. You can mount a second-tier for an additional keyboard. It's very sturdy & you don't have to worry about the legs wobbling.
Great Product
Very sturdy, easy to set up and adjust. Well thought out product.
Perfect for my Moog Voyager XL
Very strong and adjustable for the perfect fit! Thanks AJ!
Gator Frameworks Platform Style Keyboard Stand
I have been looking for something as good as this for quite some time now. I happened to see it in the latest Sweewater catalog. It certainly exceeded my expectations.
Rocky at Best
Bought this stand as a mixer table for a band when we play small clubs, as stated the unit is rocky at best. I have found a fix for the unstable positioning of the leg locks, simply called the wall,I open the unit, and position it against the wall , works fine this way, otherwise I find a small club table and set up on it.
