Mogami Platinum Guitar 20 Straight to Straight Instrument Cable - 20 foot Reviews

I standardized around Mogami from the beginning for instruments, between pedals and for the mics. Instrument cables have the silent feature. When the guys come over they always say how nice it is to be quietly plugging in and out. Very little to no loss in impedance even with 20' runs. Perfect for my modest studio. It's an investment that's worth the expense.

A few years ago I purchased my first Mogami cord for guitar. I was amazed that a simple wire could improve my tone so much. It was similar feeling to when I purchased another new guitar. I have since tried other brands and non are as dependable, as sturdy, and tonally efficient as the Mogami Platinum. The old adage that "You get what you pay for." certainly applies with Mogami. This is my 4th Mogami cable currently in use in my studio. They cost more but deliver more of what we are really after... TONE!

Like the title say, this cable is amazing. The noiseless plug is great of course, but I noticed that can also hear the raw tone of my guitar better using this cable. That's just impressive, these cables are worth the money!

I'm really happy with the Mogami Platinum Guitar 20-foot cable with 1/4" Neutrik "Silent Play" connectors. I also have the 12 foot version which I use mostly to connect to my audio interface. The 20 foot version connects to my amp as I wanted a little more length. These are great cables and I like everything about them, good clean sound, well made, and the easy to use "silent play" connector works great. Being able to unplug silently, using the connector on the guitar end of the cable, is a really nice feature, no pops at all. Happy to have the assurance that my connections will be clean and quiet.

I don't understand the magic, but it's great to have a cable that doesn't make my amp "pop" when plugging/unplugging the guitar.

It's the best guitar cable in the world. Period. End of story. Buy it.

Very nice wider frequency coverage with excellent clarity. I have compared this cable to my other top end cables and this is the best for sure. You can feel the difference and response. Heavy duty construction with a thicker cable but acceptable weight and flexibility. I actually like the silent plug feature and seems to work well when unplugging the guitar while the amp is on eliminating a giant pop and hum from an open cable.

I can't get over the low signal loss of this cable, I can really tell the difference

I used to use Monster Cables and had to keep getting new ones because they would go bad. Monster would replace them but it was a major inconvenience. I tried the Plant Waves cable with the latching stage kill switch but I had to keep trimming the cable and reattaching it to the plug after awhile and the plug is quite bulky. It was a decent cable. I was searching for a better cable that was durable and sounded great that had the kill switching capabilities also. This cable is expensive but after trying it soon after I got it I was blown away. For a 20 foot cable there is NO signal loss and you can just tell by the feel of the cable it is thick and durable and made to last. The hands free kill switch is awesome. Use it like a regular cable. That's it! No more fumbling around to find the kill switch on the plug. No popping or cracking and buzzing and hissing when you disconnect from the guitar! Can't beat the guarantee either. This will be the last cable I will have had to purchase. Worth every penny! Best cables money can buy . Perfect for studio tracking of bass or guitar .

Just received this cable less than an hour ago . I was stunned .
Compared it to my home made cables using Canare guitar cables & Canare F15 plugs .
I though my cables were really good but the Mogami blew them out of the water .
Worth every penny what you pay . I've been playing nearly 44 years and never heard a cable
do what this one does . Clear , distinct , better signal from guitar to amp that is VERY NOTICEABLE .

Please do not regard the reviews that are less than a five rating!!! I have been playing professionally for decades and have tried every cable made. I worked in music retail for sixteen years and I repaired cables from time to time. Mogami cables are BY FAR the best made and YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR IN THIS BUSINESS!!! The signal is stronger, cleaner, and with less rf interference than any other cable. The cable will last forever--guaranteed!!! If you can afford it--invest!!!! You will be grateful you did. As with amps, guitars, and other musical products, the sound difference between the cheapest and most expensive item may not appear to significant enough to warrant buying "the best," but quality goes a long way, and the headaches associated with cheaper products that perform at a lower level and that are much more likely to fail right at the moment you are counting on them to perform, make buying the best well worth it!!!!

I have been recording some some tracks on my guitar and needed some better cables to get the most out of my rig and let me tell you what a difference. I was surprised how much loader and clearer my guitar sounded and it made a bid difference on my recording level also when I hooked it up to my computer and I was using some old Monster cables I had. Expensive but well worth it and with a lifetime warranty it a no brainer if you care about your sound. Professional or not I recommend this cable or any Mogami products and thank you Dennis for your advice you always know what I need.

These are great cables and work as described. A little pricey but worth the money.

Guitar switching ease.

the $ mogami platinum guitar 20 guitar chord is cool but I think my axl 22 foot chord does the same thing for 1/16 the money, but I play loud rock so my ears may not hear subtle differences , it's fat and heavy I use it to record I should have just stuck to my $ chords
