Never Compromise

By Laurence from Santa Cruz, CA on April 22, 2024 Music Background: Blues/Rock - Guitar & Bass

You'll hear every nuance of you instrument with these cables. The clarity is nothing short of amazing and they're super quiet. I've beat the crap out of them over the years and have had zero defects. Last cable you'll ever need. A'ight den.

Best of the best

A great guitarist will appreciate this kind of quality. Unplug from amp at full volume without a worry. Last cord you will ever buy.

Helps cheap gear sound better

By Sweetwater Customer on May 31, 2023 Music Background: 63 years worth. Began formal guitar lessons at age seven. Was a gigging tuba player for 50 years. Now rediscovering bass, which I began in high school.

Played through my new mogami platinum instrument cable for about 2 minutes before realizing the vast improvement over my old, generic cable...

First off, I had to turn the gain down to get the basically equivalent sound I got from my old cable.

Next, the quality of sound improved. Understand that my bass AND amp cost around $ or so when I bought them around 2010... Squier bello bass (which isn't a bad bass at all. Put labella deep talkin flatwounds on it). The amp is a 40 watt marshall combo 10 inch speaker that they produced for a short while... The MB series...what it has is a line out connection that would allow me to make a bigger sound if I would ever need it...

Static wise, the cable helped somewhat. Did not make the bass totally noiseless, but I'm not sure anything would. New pickups might help...

So anyway, this cable and good strings can go a long way in helping improve inexpensive rig sounds.

Ps - I play strictly finger strokes. No picks. No slap and pop.

Mellow sounds. Round. Think Jamerson.

Top Notch Cable

By Moggy Amy from Hattiesburg, MS on August 25, 2022 Music Background: Boy Genius

This cable is the best 12' cable I have used, the overall performance of this cable is totally worth the cost. It is amazing.

FYI: I much prefer this design vs. the straight/angle platinum 12'cable.

Worth it

By Sweetwater Customer on March 3, 2022

I'm not a fan of expensive cables, generally, as I rarely need to use super long cable runs. But these... they're worth the money. The silencing feature is such a great quality of life addition. More cable companies need to add this.

Get one!

As soon as I plugged this in my ears we're happy! Nice feature to be able to switch guitars and not go to standby. Quiet, smooth, a brilliant piece of equipment. Call and ask for Alan Finkbeiner for all your musical needs.

Well worth the extra $

This is it. . .

By Court Canfield from NYC on November 17, 2020 Music Background: Casual daily player

I'd never, after buying & trying a couple Mogami Platinum I'd never purchase anything else. I'm certain if I summed the cost of all those non-functioning imported Fender cab,Es that failed in the first year than I've saved buying the Mogami. Well built and unbelievable customer service.

My favorite guitar cable ever

Best cable

Best guitar cable I ever use. Very clear and I can change guitars without the annoying sound. Really great guitar cable

A nice guitar cable

By Richard Cocks on March 30, 2020

I cannot verify whether this cable truly improves sound quality or not. I have not spent the time evaluating that. However, it is certainly a well-made cable. The "silent" 1/4 inch auto-mute plug is just great. It is possible to switch instruments without having to turn down the amp.

Best sound

By Ricky Montoya from CA on March 19, 2020 Music Background: Rhythm guitar lead guitar rock hard rock heavy metal 6 and 7 strings!

Been playing for 30 plus years, I've got to say this cord is the most transparent you can buy the only knock on this cord is the kill switch / neutrik silencer. They didn't really need to do that I can see that part wearing out at some point it has to be cuz it's mechanical, but let me tell you this cord does sound better than any other cord out there more punch more clarity less background noise it's a must-have! So I went ahead and bought the one with the 90-degree head at one end now I don't have the stupid kill switch sigma Bob and I have a cord that will possibly last the rest of my life!

Okay! Wow and Wow do i need to say any more! My Ibanez & Blackstar HT stage 100 mk2 and my Blackstar Artist 30 is my rig. This cable is the best and the tone now is Killer I loved my tone before but now it is even over the top bass is nice and middle tones are so sweet!the highs are great! I just wish i new about this cable before but the good news I have and it is a keeper for good. Thanks Sweet water letting my tone get better.

Silence is golden

By Sweetwater Customer from Seattle, WA on June 15, 2018

The silent connector is worth the price. Switching between guitars, or just unplugging during a church service to save battery is SO nice. No pop, no nothing...total silence

dubious convert

By Don Salting from Iowa on May 22, 2018 Music Background: Multi instrument, pro and semi-pro since '73

First, a shout out to my man Joe who recommended this chord. I confess I was dubious at the time. It may have been my first time working with Joe. It was part of a larger order, I had a big hole burning in my pocket, and Joe was so enthusiastic about this, so I bit. Second, that was five years ago. That same chord is still my point of contact between my guitar and whatever it's running through. It's in and out, on and off, and stepped on every day. I didn't think the Neutrik on/off feature would be that big a deal, either, but it has made life much simpler. So nice. And the tone she is crystal clear. I've been at this since 1973 and it is the finest sounding, if that's the right term, cable I've ever used. By 'good sound' I mean my guitar --> amp. No filters or colors or dips. Because of this cable, five years later, all the lines I run between my guitar and the amp are now Mogami.

I'm a Norwegian kid from North Dakota, and I don't give five stars out unless its excellence, for me at least, makes it the only house on the block.

If this chord ever dies, I'll get another one. But that may be a while.

I never thought cables would have such an impact

By Ryan Chaitram on December 23, 2017 Music Background: Guitar, Music Production, Recording Engineer

I didn't think the difference in quality would have been this noticeable! It's almost as if it's an entirely different guitar. I usually dislike with musicians describe the sound of the instrument as "warm" ... but This is the only way I can describe the sound of the guitar and the tone.... INCREDIBLY WARM!!!!

I know it's pricey, but take my word for it .... it makes a MASSIVE difference in tone and audio quality ... The difference is NOT subtle. I even ordered two more for the studio...

Best cables money can buy . Perfect for studio tracking of bass or guitar .

WOW !!

By Jim M from NYC on November 17, 2017 Music Background: Semi Pro

Just received this cable less than an hour ago . I was stunned .
Compared it to my home made cables using Canare guitar cables & Canare F15 plugs .
I though my cables were really good but the Mogami blew them out of the water .
Worth every penny what you pay . I've been playing nearly 44 years and never heard a cable
do what this one does . Clear , distinct , better signal from guitar to amp that is VERY NOTICEABLE .

Mogami Guitar Cables

By Jude from Florida on July 1, 2017

I play at home a lot at low volume and need my guitars to have the best signal path. This enhances sustain and the full spectrum of sound of my guitars. I have changed my whole signal path to Mogami cables and can truly hear a substantial and pleasing difference. This inspires me to play more and play better.

great cable

By Sweetwater Customer on August 6, 2016

great cable! especially the built-in on-off feature.

Mogami Platinum Guitar Cable

By JR from Temecula, CA on June 15, 2016

This is the most amazing guitar cable I've ever owned. It's whisper quiet and crisp. I'm glad I sprung for the extra expense. It's well worth the investment.

Strong signal

By James from Phoenix, AZ on March 14, 2016

This is a next level cable. Super thick gauge and great signal. Expensive? Yes. But, the quality and fidelity is all there.

1st rate

By Faris Harton from Wilmington, NC on October 30, 2015 Music Background: guitar player with wide palate of music from traditional folk, country, blues, Celtic, rock,

OK the Mogami Platinum series of cables are expensive! relative to the price of cheap cables. But they are worth every penny that you pay for them. I am a one man band playing several different instruments to vary sounds and styles. With the Mogami cables I am able to unplug and plug into a different instrument without any pop or breakup from speakers and without having to power down and then back up. I recently bought a second chord as a backup because I never want to be without one. I bought the 1st Mogami almost a decade ago and it has never failed. It is guaranteed for life. I have experienced gigs where I left my Mogami cable and hated it. To change instruments I had to power down every time to keep from blowing speakers and driving audiences away. Having to power down and back up kills the magic of the moment for the audience. A second cable means that I am never without my mobami.

MOGAMI ALL THE WAY!!

By Elias Antonas from United States on April 29, 2015

I've been playing guitar for 42yrs, lately using Monster cables. Although I enjoyed those, at least for me ... there is a noticeable difference using this Mogami cable. I play stereo guitar through two Gemini 2 bluetooth Cabinets, and the sound flows through so so so nice! I use Mogami cables for ALL my connections now ~~ expression pedals, Eleven Racks to Cabinets, Eleven Rack to Eleven Rack, VoiceLive 3 connections, Korg stereo keyboard, XLRs to QSC12's, Eleven Rack Main Outs to Studio monitors or QSC's, Allen and Heath Mixer connections, etc, etc, etc. Whatever I connect ... it's Mogami all the way !!
Yup, I've got some $$$ invested in just cables, but I feel my music enjoyment is worth the quality cost. Thanks to Brian VanDeKeere for introducing these cables to me. (He sold me the Monster cables several years back).

Colorless, noiseless, and worth the money! Switching all my cables to Mogami platinums.

Impossible to go back to a regular cable

By Keith from Mesa, AZ on February 13, 2015 Music Background: hobbyist

I don't have to switch on the tuner pedal or put the amp into standby to switch guitars anymore! The silent plug feature is brilliant! This also solved some noise I was getting using cheaper cables. It's totally worth the money.

Well built quiet un-intentioned un-plug.

By Sweetwater Customer on March 5, 2016

Works well.

Great Cables!

By elrubatan from WASHINGTON, DC on July 29, 2015 Music Background: blues-rock player

A bass player friend of mine kept on recommending these cables to me, he said they would completely change ny sound. Finally, I broke down and bought a couple of cables. I immediately noticed the difference. Some people will say what a load of bs, and that may be true for some. Try them, see what you think. They are expensive, but now I won't play guitar without them. On a nice amp you can get a very clean tone, very warm. But maybe it's just me It's hard for me as a guitar player, but my bass playing friend was right.elrubatan

Mogami Platinum Guitar Cable - 12’ Silent

By Bob Huard from Lewiston, NY on January 22, 2020

Very disappointed, this cable is supposed to be silent when you plug it in and out. When I plug it in it pops, it’s silent when I unplug it. Really doesn’t do what l bought it for.
