I actually did the measurements and everything fit, except when you try to plug the 12v power into the board. An angled plug would have worked, but the straight plug does not..

Other than that it fit every spec I was looking for.

Bought this to power a pretty straightforward bass rig. Super easy to use, comes with everything you need to get organized and powered, and it has performed flawlessly. It's worth the money.

I was pleasantly surprised by how good of a job this power supply does to eliminate excess noise and hiss from my pedal chain. Money well spent.

This product came highly recommended and has lived up to the recommendation. Very compact and easy to set up on my pedalboard. Can mount it underneath my pedalboard if I need to as my pedalboard grows.

Not a lot to say about an item that works as advertised. It is happily providing power to my pedals and I am happy.

Powers my 7 pedals without a hitch, much quieter than even individual power adapters (like those from EHX or Boss). I only knocked a half star because the build quality is not as solid as I was expecting, kinda' thin metal. This is really an optional extension of a larger Voodoo Labs unit, which I don't have, but I love that it works as a small standalone supply. Glad I bought this, like I said it's very quiet!

Mount's right on the pedal board and provides all the juice my pedals need without generating a lot of noise!

Excellent Power Supply. I now have no noise with my seven bass pedals. It did come with the wrong set of cables, but Voodoo Labs was apologetic and promptly sent the right set. I fits well in the tight confines of my Pedaltrain Mini pedalboard.

Really appreciating this piece. Had bought a donner and thought it was causing issues and so I thought back to my ole' sweetwater engineers advice when I originally bought a pigtronix pedal. Can't thank Loui A. enough for always checking in and making the right calls. Sweetwater is the only reason I buy my gear new - the trust is unmatched.

Well I normally dont write a lot of reviews but this power supply is amazing. I have a behringer 600 petal board that has 5 9 volt petals. This system was daisy chained to my 9 volt petals. Thie unit absolutley sucked. Constant hiss noise coming from my amp. I lived with this for a long time until i got fed up and bought this voodoo unit with isolated outputs. As soon as i ripped out the daisy chain amd cheap berhinger power pack i install this voodoo unit and instant silence. Absolutly no noise coming from my petals. Amazing! Best of all, i bought some velcro and installed this voodo power into my behringer case. Fits perfectly with a little modifications.

If your needs are with similar pedals that aren't ridiculously power hungry, this small and powerful Voodoo Labs Power Brick gets the job done with isolated clean power to each pedal. If you have pedals at a higher voltage, then you may want to consider a different or supplemental solution. Love the form factor for my own purposes. Most ideal for placing under my Voodoo Labs Pedal Board to efficiently power 8 of my pedals. Much better solution than daisy-chaining with One Spot connectors in my mind. Helpful in keeping everything organized and simple.

I have been toying with this for a couple weeks now. So far, this thing is great. I may buy another one soon if they are in stock.

The first thing I noticed is that it is smaller than I expected. Really small. I had measured for it but I didn't realize how small it would look until it arrived. I haven't tried mounting it under my Pedaltrain yet but I am sure it will fit with room to spare. I was glad they included real, clear, 3M Dual-lock and not some off brand hook and loop stuff.

The sheet metal housing is sturdy, but it could be a heavier gauge. It has a little bit of flex to it. If you squeeze it hard and look at the gaps between panels you can see the metal does flex a little. I'm not concerned at all and I'd rather have the smaller size.

I don't have any issue with the jacks being loose. All connections fit very securely and the cords seem to snap in place a bit. No concerns at all there. I did notice the external power brick is branded Voodoo Lab but appears to be an off the shelf brick made in China. The rest is made in USA.

As for the sound, this power supply has exceeded expectation. I don't hear any noise at all. I even hear less noise coming out of my KHDK drive pedals than I did with a dedicated wall-wort supply on them.

I have seven 9v pedals on my board, but I rarely connected most of them because the noise was too bad. This power supply has worked as advertised to resolve that issue. There is almost no noise now.

Using my old daisychain setup, the worst combination of pedals I tried was a Boss MT-2 into a Boss RC-2 looper. For whatever reason, a daisychain setup just can't seem to handle those two pedals simultaneously without the noise becoming completely overwhelming. The noise from the high-gain going into a digital looper with flashing LEDs was unusable. But with the X8 even that combination does not seem to be an issue and is perfectly quiet now. Very happy.

I even tried some crazy stuff like putting different drives and effects on each output of my harmonizer to use all seven pedals at once and even in that setup there was no noise. As I was experimenting, I actually kind of forgot about the X8 since it worked as great. It just faded into the background and I was able to actually focus on my tone and experimenting with loads of effects all at once.

Really happy with this purchase and the value can't be beat if all you have are lots of 9v pedals.

Received 2 failed power supplies. Going with another brand.

I bought this power supply because it can act as either an extension of my other Voodoo Labs power supply or independently. But after buying it I was surprised by the small form factor and happy to see all outputs and inputs were on the same side. It would be super easy to add to any pedalboard. Of course, I get clean power and no noise from it, like my other Voodoo Labs supplies. Great addition to my setup and super flexible.

I mounted it under my Pedaltrain Classic Junior with the hook and loop tape that was included with the Voodoo. Easy to run all the power cables under the board with tie wraps.

Solid PPS. Works well, great size, and no noise!

I have it on a power strip and I noticed it takes longer than gator power 8 to power up (fraction of a second) but it's such a solid power supply, and saves space.

Had 2 duds in a row. Won't waste my time exchanging for a 3rd.

The small footprint is great for the amount of power that is supplied by this device. I'm powering my heavier pedals like my Line 6 G50 relay, my Universal Audio Dream '65, and my Electro Harmonix Canyon delay pedal. These pedals would not work without a separate power supply (either the pedal would start to malfunction or wouldn't pass audio at all). Now they are working flawlessly with no noise!

Only issue is that the power jacks are a tiny bit loose and so I have to check under my pedal board to make sure the cables are plugged in all the way. I also would prefer an IEC to power the whole device.

This product replaced my Daisy chain and made all the difference! I keep forgetting to turn my amp off because it is now silent. Thanks to my sales rep, Austin Childress.

Like they say, who wants to spend pedal money on a power supply? Not much fun but this one does tame a noisy pedalboard.
I was using a cheapie Donner power supply and the buzz from my pedal board was noticeable, generating comments from band members. No longer.
Gave this 4 stars because the first one was a dud (didn't power on) and had to be returned.
HOWEVER, Sweetwater made the process easy and painless, sending me a new one before they even got the return.

The Voodoo lab 8x power supply was just perfect for powering my 9v pedals. Came with all the required cables as well, saving me a headache. Would recommend to anyone!

I have a pedalboard with eight 9v, negative pin pedals (see pic). I originally had a BOSS daisy chain that was underpowered, then upgraded to a 1700ma Truetone One Spot which almost solved the lack of power problem, but I still got lots of noise, especially when stacking drive pedals & the compressor. So I took a gamble and ponied up the $$ for the Voodoo Lab X8. It reduced the noise by about 90% and, at 500ma per outlet, my pedals all have a good strong supply of power - no more fading in and out like with the daisy chains. It even hushed up my Big Muff, which I had believed was untamable.
At just 1" tall, it fits neatly UNDERNEATH my Pedaltrain Cassic Jr (see pic), out of sight, out of mind. I probably could have squeezed it in on top, but I like some space between my pedals. Now I get to enjoy my pedals the way they were meant to be heard and never have have to think about power problems again.
Money well spent. In my opinion, every serious pedalboard should have a Voodoo Lab power supply. I should have bought it in the first place. Would have saved a lot of time, money & frustration.

My previous PSU was a Gator Power-8. It was physically huge and lacked the current to power one of my digital delay pedals. I ordered this Voodoo Labs PSU, and now I have 500mA of isolated current available to each of my pedals. And, it's one-third the size of the Gator! Because most of my pedals need less than 100mA of current, they can be chained, and I doubt I'll ever need more power than what this PSU can provide. I LOVE it!

I only used it a few times so far, but it cleaned up a lot of noise my pedals were making before with daisy chain power. Seems to be a better fit than the iso brick currently using on some of my more power hungry pedals. Can't wait to use it more!
