This is a great power supply. It's very quiet and clean power for pedals and works with my 18volt pedal I needed it for. But it did not come with an ac plug to power it luckily I had one already
Pedal Power X4-18v
The new power supplies from Voodoo Lab are incredible. I bought this and a 9v X4 expander to use with a Pedal Power 3+. The combination gives 20 outlets of power with some 18 and 12 volt options. Here's what I immediately noticed with this system compared to other expandable systems. First, this unit and the 9v X4 are powered by standard 2.1mm plugs. You don't need a single use cable to power this unit. Second, my main board with all sorts of pedals is quieter than any other build I've done. Third, the X4 units weigh close to nothing. They're a bit lighter than the strymon ojai and on a big board, any weight savings are a good thing.
X4-18V Expander Kit
I bought this Expander kit to be able to power some of my effects at 18V which allows higher headroom on some effects. For me, this was a good solution to add to the Pedal Power 3+ to allow me to have the 18V I needed. Rock solid product and quality and a good value for what you're getting. You don't have to buy another complete power supply. Sweetwater certainly has the best service and prices of anybody I have done business with, that's why I continue to do business with them.
