PRS SE Paul's Guitar - Charcoal Reviews
Features and visuals inspired by PRS founder Paul Reed Smith's personal player collection come to a compelling price point in the PRS SE Paul's Guitar. Integral to the Paul's Guitar equation is a highly figured maple-capped mahogany body, for the sparkle, sustain, and sex appeal PRS players live and die by. Next up is the hand-filling 22-fret Pattern Wide Fat-profile mahogany neck, which offers off-the-charts playability up and down the Birds-clad rosewood fingerboard. On the electronics side, a pair of custom-spec'd TCI humbuckers with independent coil-tap switches — a totally unique feature to any PRS outside the Core and Private Stock collections — delivers a stunning array of gossamer single-tone voicings to scorching high-gain humbucker heat and all stops in between. Factor in an authentic PRS bridge, and with the SE Paul's Guitar, you've got the very best of Paul's decades of class-leading designs, all at an irresistible price.

I got my guitar in blue, but
This is just a fantastic, fantastic guitar. Forget where it is made.

I struggled with buying another guitar as I have too many, but I am so glad I bought this. After playing this I am going to sell guitars I thought I needed but frankly don't. As long as I have this one.
Great guitar!
If you are looking for a really good guitar, this is the one for you. The pickups are sweet sounding in all the clean tones, something I prefer. If your into heavier music, this guitar has no problem at all. I'm about to turn 80 so I need a guitar that plays easy and this one as do most of PRS guitars (this is my 7th).
PRS Paul's Guitar SE
OK, so this is the SE model, an import, but don't let that keep you from buying this great guitar. PRS quality and playability, mahogany body with figured maple veneer top with high gloss finish, PRS Pattern Wide Fat neck carve with 10-inch-radius rosewood fingerboard with iconic PRS Birds inlay. Coil-tapped TCI humbuckers and a High-quality PRS bridge and vintage-style tuners. Personally, I don't know how they can build this instrument at this price. Without a doubt, you could use this guitar out of the box on any gig, it's that good. So nice I ditched the gig bag and put her in a hard-shell case. Special thanks to my Sweetwater guy Alden Debee, he is the best!
Fantastic guitar
I already own 2 PRS guitars but when I saw the sale I couldn't resist one more. This guitar is flawless. The pickups are better than I expected. No problem with staying in tune, bad frets or anything else that one sometimes finds with new guitars. I would totally recommend it.
I mist have gotten a lemon
I don't write reviews unless something is really good or really bad. In this case, it's the latter. I have owned dozens of import guitars and I would put this as one of the worst I've ever owned. I didnt hate it when I first got it, so I kept it thinking I would upgrade a few things and see how I liked it. It's a beautiful guitar, but...
There are big sanding marks on the back of the neck. I can live with that though.
The tuners are horrific. I can change those.
The pickups are lifeless. I can change those and often do anyway.
The fret sprout is hands down the worst I've ever experienced. Almost unplayable without cutting my hand. None of my other guitars have it, so it's not the environment. I can fix that too though.
The last straw was the neck pickup quit working. Took the back cover off and found a wire had come loose. Easy fix, but I shouldnt have to. I've decided to sell it or just burn it. It's that bad.
It is pretty though.
