In heaven

By Adil from California

I've been trying to research many options for a while since I'm on a budget I wanted to buy something that can help me both in my own personal studio and live gigging. Well fellows look no more this is a all in one package. This is value for the money. All instruments sound so real and that what you need when you have to make your own patch a clean acoustic real sound.
I'm so happy to order this from Sweetwater and my sales engineer helped me a lot through the process.
Thank you Jerrod DeMott. Really appreciate all the time and suggestions and the specials :)

Not for a musician

By Magnus P.
Music Background: Produce, singer & songwriter

I baught this korg pa700 to use for a home keyboard. When I produce Music.

The sound i terrible except the strings, it's ok. Drums and comp sound so unreal, more like cheap midi.
The keyboard is very light, No feel at all under my fingers.

Sorry Korg

But for a young student who wants to have fin its ok.

WOW So Much to Learn

By Daniel A. from Corpus Christi, Texas USA
Music Background: Singer Songwriter and Musician

I just bought the KORG Pa700 and it has so many things it can do. I am a singer songwriter and musician. I wish there was a way to copy and paste some of beats and licks from instruments that repeat throughout a song, when I'm recording on the keyboard. It would speed up the recording process. I really do like the ability to record all instruments from the keyboard

Great keyboard

By Jim from Az
Music Background: Organ, Keyboard, Guitar.

Upgraded from the Pa300 to the Pa700. The Pa 700 is an excellent arranger with very realistic sounds. The panel layout is very well organized and easy to use. The touch screen is large and easy accessible. The onboard speakers have excellent sound quality. The keyboard design is very attractive. Highly recommend the Pa700.

Impressive Machine

By Rich D. from NJ
Music Background: Keyboardist

Having only owned it for a couple weeks and actually played out live with it. Having the speakers on-board is a BIG plus as to not carry monitors around and let the sound guy take over. A little shy on the sounds quality. But plenty powerful enough for 90% of what I do. Sounds do not equal any of my Kronos, but neither does the price!!
I use this machine now to get some great practice in because of the arranger option. Wish I could layer more than three sounds. Over-all? Very pleased regarding the price point.!.

Think carefully before!!

By Rich D. from NJ
Music Background: keyboardist

TG for my salesperson Mason! His intuition on me going from a Kronos to the PA4X and PA series was spot on. It is BY far not the quality of a Kronos, which I have purchased two from SW. The PA700 may make a perfect practice keyboard or sitting in a circle acoustic because of the onboard speakers, which sound ok. But do not make the mistake of thinking that the PA series can ever take the place of a Kronos. This is an older triton/karma technology keyboard. (Sorry I sold my Karma now), For a "sounds" keyboard the sounds are just ok, barely. As for the "styles", they to me are just good to get some practice on. I Will be purchasing a kronos LS 88 SOOOOON! TY again Mason. I know sales are important, but making the right choice for the customer and helping make the right decision and sale is most important of all.

The P is for Pro

By Jim G. from Virginia
Music Background: Played and sang professionally in Nashville for 12 years. Been a part-time worship leader for many years. Still actively playing and worship leading in Virginia.

I think this keyboard is really a great deal for the money and has a lot of very usable features. Workstations are powerful machines, but I would rather design a MIDI track on my computer, rather than any keyboard out there. The Pa700 gives you options to work this way with a minimum of fuss and allows you to (1) easily import an SMF and play it using the enhanced sounds in the keyboard or standard GM, or (2) actually convert it into a Style. The Style can be tailored to either play a specific song, or it can be used to play a lot of different songs in the same style group, like EDM or Pop. There is enough flexibility in the overall design that you can really customize it to what you want to do. If you're playing restaurants, quiet clubs, receptions, etc the speakers work well, but don't expect to go beyond that. But, they do sound very good, very full.

The internal app called Songbook is really a great feature. You can save every song as an individual file that contains every nuance and setting you came up with, and I do mean everything. There are over 1100 User slots for Styles (remember each one is an entire song) and basically unlimited storage for mp3 based songs on a USB drive. There are 370 factory styles. You can design Keyboard Sets, which are groups of four instrument sounds, and have four of these available on the touchscreen. There are 290 factory keyboard sets, with room for 864 of your own. The touchscreen is really sweet, BTW, and fast.

I think the piano sounds very good, but you can import a sample of, say. a Yamaha C5, and play that instead. But, as Korg pianos go, these are definitely an upgrade. I'm definitely not a Hammond player, but I think the B3's on this thing sound awesome. The electric guitars are really good, too, but the acoustic guitars are the best MIDI strummed guitars I've heard outside of, say, the Reason acoustic guitar plugin. Amazingly realistic. Strings and orchestra are very nice and basses are quite solid. Go online for demos! I haven't even mentioned things like Mic/Guitar input, effects, or pads that loop or one-hit in sync.

I chose this board because I wanted "one ring to rule them all." I can play one-man gigs easily with just one piece of gear. But, it has also has the bread and butter sounds to play any cover band gig or worship band. And with Songbook, I can make set lists of every Song I'll be playing and instantly change everything with ONE touch. Literally. If you get creative, this board can do all you need for a wide variety of different gigs. At this price, it's kind of crazy how much you get.

Special thanks to A.J. Becerra, my Sweetwater pro, who took great care of me. I want to state that I do not work for any of the parties involved and did not receive any financial consideration for this. My opinion is my own!

Korg PA700

By Tom from Texas

Had the Korg PA700 about 2 weeks now. awesome arranger! Will do so much.
On board speakers are great.Filled a worship center that seats 120 without running it through the PA and the volume was around 70%.

Kenneth Lindsey, my sweetwater guy, is just awesome also!

Amazing!

By JERVIN S.
Music Background: Professional musician.

Loved my New PA 700. It's not fair to giving this keyboard a low rating because you don't know how to use it.
Styles are all goos and the sound quality is amazing. 5 STARS.

My Thoughts on the Pa700

By Sweetwater Customer

I'm giving this machine a 3.5 for the moment because I haven't learned enough about it to give it a higher rating. It's fairly complicated and there's a lot to learn. I'm sure that I may be able to give it 5 stars later on.

Wow!

By Daniel Z. from CLARKSTON, MI

Granted, this is my first arranger workstation. But, the build quality, as well as the quality of styles and sounds, blew me away! I also love that Korg produces video-based user manuals along with traditional printed user guides. My girlfriend is a classically-trained pianist who is NOT a techie. But, she is absolutely amazed and thrilled with the sound quality and the sheer number of styles, sounds etc. We could not be happier with this purchase.

Of course, the customer service from Sweetwater and Carl Bleke was, as always, top notch. Thank you!
