We have had a couple of these 25' cables around for at least 15 years, and unlike many other cables, they never failed, and they took daily abuse, being stepped on a lot and often taped down to the floor across traffic areas. Specifically they were used to feed the mixer signal to two powered speakers for about ten years before the pandemic, four to six gigs a week. One of the male XLR jacks became deformed into an oval shape over time from being stepped on and would only fit into the female jack on the speaker it went with (don't ask me how that happened really), but recently I beat it back into shape and trimmed it with the Dremel tool and it is back in action. Through all that, the solder joint never failed, and I have never opened the jacks.

I have a couple of newer ten-footers of the same model which have the same jacks as the old ones and the same as pictured for this PW-M-25, and I bought them because the old ones had outlasted so many others.

The cable tie on these cables is the best I have ever used. I hate velcro cable ties, and generally use shoelaces, but these D'Addario cables have a very well-designed elastic cable tie that never gets lost or tangled.

Love the product. installed on a vertical plug in so an angled would have done me better, but that's on me. I would buy again. Definite upgrade in sound quality from what we had.
