Great value

By FM from KY on February 1, 2020

I have the sub paired with the pvxp adsp 12" top cab. It is very satisfying and capable of clean low bass. Not muddy or mushy, but rather focused and a little punchy. I got better results when I set it to the recommended volumes and setup. So nice sounding and I am very happy about the purchase.

Truely amazing little sub

By Nick from Sandusky, Ohio on August 2, 2016

I started out djing with one of these subs and kept adding from there. I use 2 of them in a 2400sf (aprox) space along with the matching pvxp 15 tops and they sound really amazing. Always getting compliments on my sound playing everything from classic rock, to country, to modern and classic pop. I have 4 total and that is perfect for outside venues or large indoor venues with chest pounding bass.
If you buy this sub, you wont be disapointed

I own the QSC K 12 mains and this sub is a perfect match. This sub works seedlessly and with them and is so musical. I owned a Makie 1501 before and this is much better. Compliments on my sound is consistent nightly. This sub was a perfect buy.

By G.I from Vacaville Ca. on July 23, 2014 Music Background: Music Engineer & D.J

I love this Peavey Subwoofer compact but powerful and amazing. I own the Electro-Voice ZXA1-Sub Powered Subwoofer which by the way is the same price but no comparison in performance & power on demand. All you need is one of these unit however I am looking forward in buying a second PVxp...got to have another one in my low end music arson when needed. I'm giving this sub a 10+

Battle Tested

By EPgump from Alabama on July 23, 2018 Music Background: Musician, DJ & Sound Engineer

I've owned a pair of these for about three years now, and i kid you not, they probably hate to see me coming. I do an average of 2-4 shows each week with these baby's, & I push these bad boys to the extreme on nearly every gig. They stood up to the punishment without flinching each and every single time, where as other speakers, such as my Yamaha DXR'S, I had to replace the baskets and power supply (in the Yamaha's). But Yamaha is also top notch speaker brand with a seven year warranty, so it costed me nothing. But the Peavey PVxP subs have proven to be the toughest. Although I am a professionally trained sound engineer, I promise you that nobody pushes speakers harder than I do, without being too abusive. But these Peavey's really DID surprise me with it's durability and sheer grind. I give it 4.5 stars and not 5 stars because, although I am aware that this is a 15 & not an 18 inch sub, my experience has shown me that these could have been just a little bit more powerful. But no complaints!

Nice Bass

By Jesse from United States on May 12, 2015 Music Background: Cajun/Zydeco

Excellent powered bass woofer. Don't expect the hard driving and hitting of an 18" woofer, and you'll be satisfied. I like the wheels on the back, and it's relatively light weight. General constrction is rugged and will work fine for taking on the road. I play in a 5 piece band, and this along with the bass players rig is plenty of low end. I had originally tried a 12", but it just wasn't cutting it. This 15" is just right. I thought the poles were a little short to mount my Impulse speakers, but I sent a note to Peavey engineering and assured me that the height was correct.
