Fender Gen 4 Noiseless Telecaster Pickup Set Reviews
For repair, replacement, or restoration, there is no substitute for OEM parts. This set of genuine Fender Gen 4 Noiseless Telecaster Pickups achieves something unheard-of: authentic vintage-style Fender tone combined with noise-free performance. New for
These sound amazing
I stepped away from guitar for a long time to play bass. I decided that I wanted to play the 6 string again and found the Vintera II Nocaster to be extremely comfortable as I have become accustomed to larger necks from playing bass.
These pickups push it over the top, they sound so dang good. This is my first time playing a tele style guitar and I can see I've been missing out. I'm grateful for the experience every time I plug in.
100% Vintage Tele Sound
I swapped out the stock pickups in a new Jet 350 and the guitar came alive! I highly recommend for replacing Squier or similar lower cost instruments. You'll be extremely happy with the tone plus no noise. Amazing pickups! Definitely worth the upgrade investment.
Great Pick Ups and Super service!
The pick ups are great. I used them to improve a fender Squire telecaster. It makes the Squire a decent guitar. I only changed the pickups, not the pots or the output jack and it still sounds awesome! The pickups are truly noiseless and have the Tele "quack". I think they are a super value for the money. If someone bought a cheap starter guitar and wants to upgrade on a budget...this is a great option.
The service from Sweetwater is top notch. Craig emailed when the order was shipped, and called me when it was delivered to make sure I was happy with the purchase.
Sweetwater is a class outfit.
Excellent upgrade
Yesterday we swapped the Gen4 for the aging Torres wound pickups in my trusty MN5. Great tone! Installation was simple and the Gen4 came with screws and rubber hollow suspension. Also included a 2 page installation overview.
Perfect for me
I put these in a late 2009 fender American Telecaster. Love the silence and the tone. I play in Church so I don't want noise on my bridge pickup. Would recommend.
Noise go bye bye
Pick these up hoping that it would eliminate the noise from my telecaster. I was not disappointed, 99% of the noise is gone. And it still sounds like the tele I fell in love with.
These pick ups are great!
Great way to upgrade a squire or quiet down your tele. Added the obsidian 4 way wiring kit with it and it was a breeze to install. Nick O. from Sweetwater. of course checked in to see how I like them. Great CS as always/
Excellent PUP's
Excellent PUP's
Ill let you know
Fit tight in my MIM tele. On my next string change Im going to need to take them back out and ream out the bottom of the pickup cavity. I cant get them low enough to get rid of string warble when setting the height. Not as quite as Noisless4 strat pickups
Fender Gen 4 noiseless Telecaster pickups
I love these things!!! I've had Fender noiseless pickups in Strats before and they were ok but these in the Tele are just great!! They still maintain the single coil feel and sound but no hum.
Ño more hum!!!!!
I bought Fender hot noiseless pickups for my 1996 Fender strat plus and they work great .after I saw how good they worked,I bought the Gen 4 noiseless pickups for my MIM Telecaster.thier fantastic.they sound loud and very clean with no hum even when I use my compressor.this guitar is going to sound beautiful on my next gig.before places I played, had neon signs, dimmer switches .this is going nice No Noise !!!!
Impressive upgrade for my 2013 MIM FSR Telecaster
My 2013 Fender FSR MIM Tele came with some hot ceramic pickups, I liked them, but the neck pickup was too muddy and the bridge lacked a little bit of twang for me (they were great with a little bit of gain tough). I already had a Fender Deluxe Player's Stratocaster with vintage noiseless pups (wich I love) so I decided to get the Gen 4 Noiseless for my tele, plus some locking tuners and a better string tree.
The Gen 4 Noiseless Pickups sound great! They sound very rich and are really versatile. I'm completely satisfied (although they are a little bit more complicated to setup comparing to other single coil pickups).
A little less twang and warmer and more full
I put these in a 10 year old black guard am vintage tele with old school single coils and vintage style wiring. That setup had just a little too much twang and too brite. Put these in with modern wiring and orange drop capacitor and the difference is amazing! Still a tele, but warm and almost no noise! I have a lot of lights and wiring that attracts hum, so i also shielded all cavities with copper tape. Now is dead quiet! Note: these are really a double stack humbucker and they are tall, had to rout out some material on the tele to make them fit. Worth it though!
Crisp and clear!
I recently bought a Squire Telecaster as a mod guitar cause I couldn"t resist the Lake Placid Blue! I purchased a set of Fender Gen 4 Noiseless pickups to put into the Tele. Once in, they were amazingly crisp and clear! Both clean and dirty, they rang out so nicely, that my mod Tele is now more of a go to guitar than my MIM Fender Strat. They are so rich throughout any volume. The neck pickup has this amazing electric blues tune. Playing "Cocaine" or "Crossroads" sounds so good. With the bridge, I can turn on some dirt and roll into "Breaking the Law" or "Killing in the Name" to rock the night away. Really enjoying how versatile and responsive these pickups are.
Awesome pickups
Nothing else I can say super clean , no noise what so ever , you won't be disappointed. ,replaced stock tele pickups on a mex tele, wow !
A Serious Upgrade
I have a limited Edition Beggars Banquet Telecaster, one of 300 that Fender made. the guitar is beautiful
and plays like a dream. the electronics were definitely not there. Bought the Gen 4 Noiseless pick ups along with new switching and controls from Drew at Sweetwater. Had my guitar guy (one of the best in Denver) put in the new electronics and WOW what a difference in tone.
Very crisp, Clean, Good sustain and no noise. The tone knob actually works really good now.
My tech guy showed me how both were made and how much better the new ones were.
like me he loved the construction and playability of the MIM Tele. but thought I did good to upgrade the electronics. I can't recommend them enough.
Awesome.
Full pure tone. Maintains the tele clarity. Warm.
The Best
I installed the Gen 4 Noiseless with an Emerson 4-way switch set-up on an older Telecaster. The tone is warmer in reference to Texas Specials, which I have installed on a Strat, I can"t say I like the Gen 4 more than the Texas Specials because each set has their special tone qualities and I like them both. If you like bright and dirty, Texas Specials. However, if you like warm with a little dirt, Gen 4 Noiseless. For what it is worth, I can"t see a wrong choice with either set-up. The best choice is to have two guitars. As always, thank you to Aaron Cieslikowski for expert advice and help.
great pups for my tele
wow! no more single coil noise.
