Schecter Nick Johnston Signature PT Electric Guitar - Atomic Snow Reviews

Solidbody Electric Guitar, Signature, with Alder Body, Maple Neck, Ebony Fingerboard, 1 Single-coil Pickup, and 1 Humbucking Pickup - Atomic Snow

Top-quality tonewoods, fine-tuned electronics, and a decidedly vintage soul solidify Schecter's Nick Johnston Signature PT electric guitar as a fantastic workhorse for classic rockers who demand versatility that more than handles the virtuosic playing of its namesake. Its alder body and maple neck will feel familiar to T-style players everywhere, delivering the chunky mids and prominent lows that helped skyrocket this tonewood in popularity over the years. Its vintage "C"-shaped roasted hard rock maple neck is capped with silky ebony for effortless fretting from head to heel. Sweetwater players especially love the PT's Schecter-designed pickups, with a single-coil in the bridge for some welcome twang and a humbucker in the neck for thick, full-bodied tones in complete clarity. This 6-string's locking tuners and Diamond PT-S bridge make string changes a breeze while keeping everything perfectly in tune, a crucial factor when needing a reliable instrument when out on the road. Prepare to dive into the "Atomic Mind" of Nick Johnston with his Schecter Signature PT!

Great (under radar) Tele

I knew Schecter made some nice guitars but was really surprised when I opened the box with this one. The look, quality & feel is evident and the roasted maple neck is awesome. Bridge pickup nice crisp country twang , neck humbucker is killer (less paulish) tone control splits it back to single coil for more traditional sound , middle position on switch gives that quacks sound . The guitar gets 5 different sounds , I love it !
Price is unbelievable, I would put it up against any top line Fender ! Anyway iam totally satisfied with this guitar & it might be my favorite guitar ,

Wonderfully versatile instrument

So, I was looking for a t-style guitar. I had a list of features I was looking for: Easy playing neck, locking tuners, easy upper fret-access, and a versatile set of pickups...This guitar delivers. The neck is flatter than I'm used to, but still incredibly easy to play. The bridge pickup has twang and bite, but enough muscle to avoid sounding brittle. The neck pup is a tad dark but sounds great with the coil-split. It's also not the quietest axe I've ever played, so that's why I took off half a star. The tuners are also some of the smoothest and most stable I've ever used. S/O to my rep Zack for his continued level of service!
