Avid's top engineers equipped the Pro Tools Mbox with a pair of ultra-transparent custom mic preamps and a set of phenomenal 24-bit/96kHz converters, giving it absolutely astounding sound quality. The Pro Tools Mbox even includes a pair of Softclip limiters, the same tape-saturation-style dynamics processors found on Avid's flagship HD series interfaces!
The Pro Tools Mbox also comes equipped with a built-in guitar tuner and a dedicated DSP engine for cue mixing with reverb. Now, you can add reverb or delay to vocals as you record, without worrying about latency or having to manage cumbersome outboard gear. There's also a super-useful assignable Pro Tools multifunction button right on the face of the Pro Tools Mbox. This button gives you fast access to software functions inside of Pro Tools, including record arming and on-the-fly track creation. And, although the Pro Tools Mbox comes with Pro Tools 9 - the most powerful version of Pro Tools ever - impressive new ASIO, Core Audio, WDM, MME, and multiclient drivers allow it to integrate easily with any DAW.
