Pedaltrain JR MAX 28-inch x 12.5-inch Pedalboard with Soft Case Reviews

Aluminum Alloy Pedalboard with Fitted Soft Case

With the Pedaltrain JR MAX pedalboard, you can lay out your effects pedals any way you want. This pedalboard features an open frame that's elevated and angled, giving you added flexibility when you're configuring the layout of your effects and makes for fast and efficient setup and rearrangement. You can actually connect your cables neatly on the board by routing them over, under, and even through the slots in the top surface area — this way, they're not exposed on the top of the pedalboard, and you don't have to worry about accidentally disconnecting them with an ill-placed stomp when you're mid-solo! Guitarists at Sweetwater can highly recommend the Pedaltrain JR MAX pedalboard for any gigging guitarist.

Maxing Out the Pedaltrain JR MAX

By Robert S. from COTO DE CAZA, CA

I am happy with the purchase of the Pedaltrain JR MAX, which had the best dimensions for my needs. I squeezed 13 pedals on and was able to mount a large, but fairly thin, power supply (Ciokolate) that offered the most number of connections to power the entire board. I am purchasing a supplemental riser kit to increase the feet on the pedalboard by 1" because the battery is just touching the ground. Also, using the website Pedal Playground, which will show you exactly how your pedals will fit on the board you are looking at, make me much more confident to make this purchase. Even though I had to drill holes into the metal frame to mount the power supply, I found it very easy to do, and the light but sturdy frame is a simple design and easy to work with. I would recommend this brand of pedalboard.

Great pedal board

By Adam R. from CO
Music Background: Full time pro

I wanted to put together a lighter weight board for my acoustic solo act.
Having used Pedaltrain for years it was a no brainer decision.
Lightweight yet sturdy, the versatility of the design for mounting your peds and routing you cables is fantastic.
The soft case looks to be well made, strudy, an again lightweight with a big zippered pouch for stuff.
And the included mounting supplies, velcro, cable ties, are of top quality
I even bout another case for my main guitar rig to save on show cartage where i dont need the protection of my heavy anvil cases.
Highly recommended!

Pedaltrain is still the best

By Sweetwater Customer

I have a half dozen Pedaltrain boards in different sizes and configurations for different needs. Wonderful, efficient and effective designs. Lightweight but solid. The bags they come with are also gig-worthy and have held up great over the years. Pick up the Cioks power supplies with these; they fir perfectly under many of these boards.

Did the trick!

By Karl K. from Suttons Bay, MI

I recently scaled down my rig a bit and moved it over from a larger board (Temple Duo 34). Setup was easy and the resulting rig is solid. The new rig on the Jr Max is easier to haul around and load-in/load-out got easier. Thanks for the help on this, Jeremiah!

Very Rugged and Sturdy

By Tim L.

The pedal board is very well made and incredibly functional for most applications you will need. The soft case is very well made and provides very good protection of your pedals. This was well worth the price!!!

excellent board

By Sweetwater Customer

lightweight, sturdy, easy to gear out. my only gripe is they could've put a zipper pouch on the soft case for spare patch cables, picks, capos, etc. otherwise, love it.

Overpriced and Featureless

By Jordan from California

Eh, I wasn't a fan of this purchase. Is it solid? I suppose. It's a bit overpriced considering how simple it is. It doesn't provide mounting options with my Strymon Ojai and Ojai R30 which is a bummer. 3rd party mounting brackets don't appear they will work so I'll have to create my own. Makes me wonder if I should have just built my own and saved some $$$.

JR Max

By Richard from Sacramento

The Pedaltrain is well-constructed, quite sturdy, and very well made. Exceeds my expections, as care and thought went into the construction. You get an ample supply of Velcro, I think maybe about eight feet … enough to cover the rails on the board with a complete strip of Velcro for all four pedal board rails, and another eight feet of material for the base of one's pedals. The board has a gentle tilt, which facilitates reaching the upper level pedals with the toes. There are rubber bumper feet on all four corners of the unit, so you can expect it to stay in place while in use. The bag is sturdy—not extremely well padded on top, but if that is a concern a piece of foam can be dropped in on top of the pedals. Pricey? Mebbe, but in my humble opinion, well worth the money.
