Great sound and quality

By Cooper from Arkansas on July 3, 2023 Music Background: Drummer mostly, but also play a ton of guitar.

I was thinking about getting an 8" deep snare, but decided on this 6.5". All I can say is WOW! Great punch, and can get that deep Bun E. sound if you want that. I did use a thick Evans head, which made it sound better, but you gotta whack it!
This snare will be a part of my Gretsch RN 2 shell pack I just purchased from Sweetwater. This is a great - versatile snare - sounds amazing.

DW performance snare

By Anthony Friello from New York on October 6, 2020 Music Background: Professional drummer

I love the new DW snare. It arrived in 3 days and I am very happy with it. Right out of the box it sounded great with a little tune up.
I own a dozen snare drums and the DW is the best sound ever. It has a full beefy deep sound with snap. Great for any kind of music.

AWESOME DRUM

By Isaiah S. Langston on December 25, 2017 Music Background: Professional Drummer

This has got to be THE GREATEST maple snare drum EVER! The tone is incredible, and by adjusting the snare tension, you can get a TON of tones. I've never even needed to retune. However, I will warn you: It's still a wood snare. If you want a HUGE snare that doesn't sound like wood (because it's not), go with a Ludwig. However, this a GREAT snare.
