This power supply is perfect and exactly what I expected from Roland. IMHO, there is no substitute for the best.
Clean power makes a difference!
Skimping on a no name brand power supply will give you lots of noise. Spend a little more and gey a lot!
Sweetwater has everything you need for great prices!!
Sweetwater has everything you need for great prices!! Needed this power supply and they had it for a very great price and it came quickly too! Craig Mills always follows up and checks out shipping speed how the product worked for me and He's why Sweetwater is who they are!!
Roland PSD
Got one of these for my Roland TB-3 and it woks perfectly. Although this adapter is quite expensive, I just didn't want to take a chance with a generic version of this adapter.
Before, I was powering the TB-3 with USB power, but the unit wouldn't turn on every time. Had to unplug it and plug it back in to turn it on. Getting this adapter resolved the issue.
If your Roland gear calls for a Roland PSD adapter, it really is worth getting just for the peace of mind knowing that your gear will work when powered on.
Also, if you choose to sell your gear later on, having the proper power adapter increases the value of the sale.
Ultimately, it's worth it. Definitely recommended.
It’s a power adapter…
Original manufacturer adapters always seem over priced to me (no fault of Sweetwater in that regard), but it performs as it should and seems well constructed. Plus if you ever decide to sell the piece of gear it goes with, it's always nice to have the original adapter to include with the sale. As always, Sweetwater's sales folks are super helpful and a pleasure to work with.

Roland Power Adapters: It pays to buy the correct one!
If you love your instruments (and I know you do!) get the adapter the instrument maker calls for. Sure you could try a generic one, but isn't it worth it to buy the proper one to have piece/peace of mind knowing you're not going to burn up your tools? Many electronic devices seem to be around for a short time, So knowing that, take of what you have, because a used replacement will probably hard to find or priced really high in the "vintage" price range.
Works well as a replacement
The MC-707 I had acquired had a power adapter with bent pins, for an unknown reason. This was a suitable replacement and I feel safer with it.
