Fender PS-220E Parlor Acoustic-electric Guitar - Aged Cognac Burst Reviews
Though your eyes may have you swearing it was plucked directly from music history, Fender’s PS-220E Parlor acoustic-electric is the modern-day parlor guitar discerning players crave. Though visually inspired by parlor guitars of yesteryear, Fender cut no corners in ensuring its sonic warmth and smooth playability, accomplished through an intoxicating tonewood cocktail of solid mahogany for the body and an ovangkol-capped mahogany neck. Sweetwater guitarists relished in the lush, resonant tone produced when strumming the PS-220E Parlor acoustically. Fishman electronics amplify this parlor guitar’s natural woody voice with exceptional results, with volume and blend controls to dial in your perfect tone. This Model Needs To Be Looked At
This Fender Paramount Parlor guitar needs a honest review, for a all solid wood guitar at this price point I took a chance and bought one as a road travel/busking guitar. So yeah out of the box action was high however they call this in spec, so I sanded down the bone saddle and it's better action, but needs more work, but that was only problem, it's a beautiful parlor that has a lovely tone from the spruce top and mahogany back sides. Unlike the earlier model that came with the ebony fretwork and fancier fret markers and came with rosewood back and sides, mine did not, I have a type of rosewood on the board, another thing is the neck is not glossed, so I deducted a star. I was concerned about the pick up after I read the reviews, I figured I would have to swap it out, BUT it sounds just fine for me. So bottom line we all know that fender acoustics are not that popular, however this Paramount series are pretty darn sweet and they come with a nice hard shell case. Mine is a triburst and let me tell ya Martin makes one just like this with same woods but ebony board, no pick up, they are absolutely dito, humor me and see what Martin wants for their triburst parlor model.
