JBL PRX415M 1200W 15 inch Passive Speaker Reviews
The JBL PRX415M passive loudspeaker is based on the same design as its powered brethren in the PRX600 Series, bringing you robust full-range performance that's ideal for clubs, schools, and houses of worship. The PRX415M is a 15" passive loudspeaker that delivers the kind of low-end presence demanded by rock, pop, hip hop, and many other modern genres, and it's equally as capable as a floor monitor as it is as a main speaker. If you're looking for loudspeakers with plenty of punch, impact, and presence, JBL PRX415M passive loudspeakers are perfect for you.

JBL PRX415M
JBL has designed a great two purpose cabinet for HD stage monitoring for Bass, Drums, Keyboards or Vocals etc, but also for use as a stand alone 2 way cab for small to medium size performance spaces. Smooth even dispersion and Great sound are JBL's claims to fame and these cabinets surely deliver Both. Great form meets function and durablity in the PRX Line.
Very pleased with sound and reliability
We've been gigging with a pair of these as mains four years. Three piece classic rock band, moderate volume, indoor and outdoor venues. No reliability problems whatsoever. Sound is biased to the high end, clear and not shrill. As FOH full program (including bass and drums) the bass from these is totally inadequate and require subs to produce a balanced sound.
Great upgrade from the am4212/95
We had 4 JBL AM 4212/95"s in our house of worship and all the crossovers blew up at once. I needed a cheap and direct replacement and these worked perfectly. I noticed they need a few hours to break in but once we got them adjusted for the room, they sounded much better than the old speakers. We will however still be moving up to a line array because of the lack of coverage speakers like this provide. They are also not the best speakers I have used as far as sound quality, so I gave it 4 stars
Church speakers
We are using these in our new worship center bridged and they sound great . If your source is noise laden the sound will not be crisp and clear which means they are true .
Will be using them live with our praise and worship team tomorrow
Can't wait
Great Stage Wedge!
I needed to add/replace to my aging club monitor system. These replaced some EV FM1202ER's. All I can say is that I am very pleased with the performance for price. Stable top end, feedback is easily handled with a decent 31 band even at very loud levels. The low end will handle a bit of kick drum well for monitor purposes.
JBL is Falling
Not impressed with these speakers...Gigged them and had driver failure on second performance...Running Crown amps, ( Harmon ), JBL's own brand and took the speaker apart to find a cheaply made cabinet and crossover with poor connections...I soldered the connection and have had no issues...You would think for over $500 per cabinet that these would become your next best friend in the line up of speakers...Nope, they are under powered and have very little low end for a 15" speaker...My Peavey PR 15's that were 1/2 the price make these sound like a kids boom box...Very disappointed JBL...Guess they just live off the label now...They are visiting Chinese sweat shops for products and cabinets...its a shame...
