I love how these nuts make my guitars sound. My favorite feature is how easy they are to use. The string spacing is done and very little filing is required for installation. I have Graphtech nuts on all my thunder style guitars. I could not be more pleased with this product.

I am bummed to have to write this review as my experience with Graph Tech has been great in the past.

I thought that a self lubricating nut would reduce the sticking of the strings when tuning. NOPE.

I had this nut professionally installed on my Strat along with locking tuners and Graph Tech string trees. I found immediately I had major tuning problems and string catching issues in the nut. As I would tighten the tuner, I would get the dreaded popping sound from the nut. I never got this with the stock nut from Fender. I would also get so much string catching at the string trees that I could turn the tuner a whole rotation and the string would not change in pitch until after a whole rotation.

All in all, major thumbs down for GraphTech.

These are a great replacement nut for your Fender strat or tele. They are made well and I see no problem with them lasting a very long time. These are self lubricating so there is no need for graphite or other means of string binding prevention. I can't say that I hear any difference when playing my telecaster opposed to one with a bone nut. All of the strings ring true open with no "ping" when tuning up or down. There is a bit of work that needs to be done as they are not drop in replacements. You will need a file, sandpaper and some wood glue. It takes me about 20 minutes to take the old nut out and shape this one in place.
