Great Starter Pack
I love the look of this guitar. Its plays well and feels solid. Its important to keep in mind that at this price point there is no 55 point inspection before purchasing, although it comes clean, complete with strings, 3 medium picks, and a good tuner that will get you going in just a few mins. I find myself having to retune every few plays as it doesnt hold tuning as well as id like, but considering the price its no big deal to me, and as a beginner it will get your ears ready for what it should sound like. The only thing i dont like is the overdrive on the amp. There is alot of noise when you engage it, and it just makes it sound busted. But keep the clean tones going and youll be satisfied to play for hours.
Great value
I bought this as a starter kit for my daughter. Decades ago I played using significantly more expensive equipment ($2000+ invested). While I clearly didn't expect anywhere near that level of performance I have been amazed by the overall quality (the amplifier less so than the guitar, but still very good). We are only a few weeks in, so durability remains to be seen, but based on what I can see of the build quality I expect this kit will last well beyond her beginner phase.
Rock'n'roll
Most excellent... Anyone just getting started will love this... The pickups are smoking Hot... I'm No stranger to guitar's... However i'v always favored the les Paul's... My first was a Gibson lp.custom Black Beauty... I really love what Epiphone is putting out these day's... For the price you can't beat it... Rock'n'roll...
Back in the groove
I'm very pleased with the Epiphone Les Paul Player pack. After not playing for 20+ years, this is a great setup to get back in the groove. Now I've been playing an hour a day for the last few weeks.
Nice Bit Of Kit
I find this kit inspiring. It has everything you need to get started. The idea with a kit like this is to help you learn. I think that the guitar does a great job of trying to balance value for the money. It is not a flashy guitar and yet it really sounds nice. A feature that I like about the tuner is the fact that once your string is in tune, the display turns green. Rather than just a needle pointing to "in tune", the display turns green. That is a nice touch. The bigest drawback to any kit like this would be the practice amp. The point of the amp is to let you hear yourself, however I would like to see a better quality sound. At a price such as this I would not expect an Orange Crush 12 or Vox Pathfinder 10 quality amp…..yet I would like to see a better quality speaker in the amp. My reasoning would be "if it sounds better….it will keep people motivated to play". This kit is marketed to the beginner or value minded buyer. Having typed that, I would like to see a pick thickness value pack that included ultra thin, thin, and medium picks. The kit included medium, which are less beginner friendly than a thinner pick. I personally think this is one of the nicest combo kits on the market. The money clearly went in to the guitar and I think that was a wise choice.
Starting Over
Haven't played in many years and wanted to get back into it. With the help of my rep Loui I settled on the player pack. Comes with everything you need to get started without breaking the back but still get a quality guitar.
Great for a beginner

Beyond thrilled!
Now I’m a newbie but you can tell this is a great beginner’s guitar. It feels solid and after a little tuning, it was great from the first time being played. I think this is a perfect guitar for anyone beginning or even just having an affordable spare. The amp gives good sound for a 10W but I know I will upgrade in the near future. I couldn’t be more happy with my purchase as I begin my music journey. Good luck to everyone out there

It is perfect. When I saw the package I though It was missing something but after opened it I realized a beautiful and hight quality instrument with amp, bag , cable and a very nice runner was inside the box. Shopping Sweetwater is better than any other by far !

Nice affordable kit to start with
I picked up this kit as an affordable way to learn on and my son wouldn't let me use the Squier kit I bought him. Guitar has a great finish with no imperfections and after a quick tune sounded great right out of the box. Only slight con is the gig bag. They could have made it about 1/2"-1" longer because it is a very tight fit length wise. And I have to say that the Sales Engineer Dave Dunsire has been phenomenal. Had a couple issues with a past order and he was extremely helpful. And when I placed the order for this set he called within minutes to make sure everything was correct.

The guitar is beautiful, the epiphone les paul from Sweetwater player pack. I'm new to playing, and it was my second guitar, and first electric guitar. I have no complaints, and overall feel like it was the best choice I could've made in getting started learning to play. It came fast, with all the equipment to get started, and was worlds cheaper than any other deal. For the price it feels high quality to boot. If your just beginning to learn, I recommend the player pack.
Issues from the start
Well the item came from the manufacturer missing the DVD and the Tuner.
The Guitar itself arrived with the lower Pickup not functioning at all. So I have had to send the item back for a repair. Currently I am awaiting for the repaired item to return.
Not much else to report.

this came to me in the worst possible state what a piece of crap i will never look at another epiphone in my life i cant believe Gibson has this under its name . lets see if sweetwater will post this .the only good thing best thing is they made me a pretty good deal with something else witch i am very happy with .the best service justified im happy
