Guitar Pedal Power Cable with 9V Battery Snap and 2.1mm Right Angle Barrel Connectors - 18"

The Voodoo Lab battery snap to right angle 2.1mm pedal power cable is the answer if your pedalboard setup has mushroomed into an unholy mess of spaghetti. The battery snap connector works with any effect that runs on a 9V battery - including vintage pedals that lack a power jack. On the other end of this 18" cable you have a 2.1mm right angle barrel connector that fits into your Voodoo Lab power supply. It's as simple as that! Say goodbye to pedalboard mess with the Voodoo Lab 9V battery snap to 2.1mm pedal power cable.

If you use it correctly, it's amazing!

By Brendon M. from YPSILANTI, MI

I have a K&K Pure XLR preamp that runs on either Phantom power or 9V battery inside. I don't always use an amp that has phantom power, and I mostly use the 1/4 out and not the XLR out... and if you remember, 1/4 cable doesn't run phantom power. I got sick of buying new 9v batteries for each gig to so I put the DI box on a pedal board and bought this cable.
I attached the cable to the internal 9v battery attachment, closed the DI box cover and routed the other cable end to my TRex fuel tank Jr. Once I powered on the board, Voila! full time clean power to my XLR preamp. As long as I have my pedal board I will not need phantom power or 9V batteries!!

IF you have a phantom/battery powered box, this is a simple solution to convert it to a power supply such as the TRex.

Thanks!

didn't work for me either

By Sweetwater Customer

After plugging it in to my pedal with a connected 9V batt its started smelling like burning metal and I quickly unplugged.

I guess mine is wired in reverse polarity too. Not good.

Use Them for What They're Intended For

By Thomas from Behind the Zion Curtain

I can understand some of the other reviewer's frustrations, but if you aren't sure about how something is supposed to be used, why would you just assume without researching or contacting the manufacturer? And that's giving credit that maybe the product description has changed since some of these reviews were posted. If you read the description as it's written now, it tells you that one end goes to the pedal, the other end goes to the power supply. These work exactly as described and exactly as intended. Nothing mindblowing about them, but I rated them 5 stars to offset the low rating they currently have from people who used them improperly and then rated the product poorly because of it.

Hope it did not damage my pedals

By Sweetwater Customer

Looks like you can plug a 9v battery to the cable and then into a pedal , right ?
WRONG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i explained what i was going to do with the cable , to the rep ,before i bought it,, and it looked like the right choice to both of us ,,,,,,,,,,,
the polarity is swapped and nothing is on the packaging to let a person know ..
Hope my pedals life span are not shortened by this.............

I use it to power my Jimi Hendrix Fuzz Face and it works perfectly. I'm about to get one for a VOX wah 846HW. All voodoo lab gear has been reliable in my experience.

Wired in reverse still

By Dave from Tacoma wa
Music Background: Hobbyist

Be warned, apparently these are not for connecting a battery to. they should snap to the existing battery connector in some vintage pedal which would then flip flop the polarity when the barrel connector goes to your one spot. Which is pretty stupid since that would have this cable coming out of a pedal which when stepped on could crush cable. I bought this for plugging a battery in and being able to power a pedal thru power port on pedal, this promptly fried my delay's ic chip since the cable is wired in reverse. So beware.

Wired in Reverse

By Robert S. from United States

When I plugged it into my guitar pedal it didn't work! Called Sweetwater, they sent me a new one, same problem. Turns out, these are wired in reverse for my pedal. I had to cut and re solder them! Once this was complete they worked just fine.
