Quarter-sawn neck is killer
I've had this guitar a few months and I love it. I wanted to see what the quarter-sawn neck was all about without spending $ on the USA Demartini's...
The neck is AWESOME. The quarter-sawn maple feels MUCH stiffer than a standard maple neck, and notes have a snappy feel coming off the fingerboard, no mush at all.
I love how light-weight and comfortable this guitar is to play around with, easy and comfortable to handle and play.
I'm not sure what variant this pickup is, but it sounds good and "Ratt-like", and I don't see any need to upgrade it.
My ONLY complaint, and it's probably not fair at this price point, but I don't care for the Floyd 1000's which this has (despite the description, this pro-mod version ships with a Floyd 1000 Series). I upgraded mine to a real Floyd Rose and it's perfect for me now.
Summary: Great deal on a quality, quarter-sawn maple shred machine.
