Amazing Guitar
I received this guitar today via Fed Ex Ground. I really can't believe how nice this guitar is, in terms of design, build quality, finish, playability, sound, etc. I'm a 50-year-old guy who's been playing since he was 12. I came of age in the 80s and I never got into the hair metal stuff but always worshiped Eddie Van Halen. So I've always wanted a Superstrat and I knew this model was for me upon its introduction. I like it because of its shred capability but it's also versatile enough for other styles including jazz and blues. It joins my Yamaha SG2000, my Fender Custom Shop Tele, and my Martin Custom Shop 00-DB Sinker Mahogany. I mention those very special guitars only to emphasize my belief that this Charvel, made in Mexico, is every bit as solid as anything in my collection. It's worth noting that it does not come with a case. I did a combo purchase with the Jackson molded hard shell case for Dinky/Soloist models. It fits like a glove. I'd be remiss in not thanking my sales engineer, Joel Helton. His knowledge and professionalism is unparalleled.
