Oh Yeah This Thing Has POWER

By Adam Passalacqua from Winter Springs, FL on February 11, 2014 Music Background: Professional DJ / Concert Sound Engineer

I was directed to this amplifier after the need arose to power 4 very power hungry JBL Custom built PA Speakers needed to be used at some very LOUD concert style events... My first look was at the Crown Macrotech Series and I was impressed but the $'s didn't make me feel warm and fuzzy inside... I read about these PLD amplifiers and have had a few experiences with the Power Lite Series and was impressed with their output...So I figured why not give it a go...QSC is a good product right ???

Well, that is an understatement !!! After a day of reading and getting familiar with the controls and settings, and there are a lot of them, I finall decided to hook it up in one of it's several and I mean several configurations and let it rip... I powered a pair of Peavey QW4F's I recently purchased from "Sweetwater" and they humped like never before at levels that would blow your mind... The amplifier was full out just at clip and ran flawlessly for quite some time and through many Bass Loving songs without a hiccup...In fact the amp never left it's original temp as if it was at idle... I then configured it to run my JBL 18" Subs and again no issue, it even has the preset to reflect threshold, attack and limit saved in the amplifier so I have nothing to worry about, the amp knows my speakers... As a brand new amplifier line this is rockin' and based on my past experience with 100 pound bass amplifiers etc... this 22 pound beauty is awesome !!!
