I bought this case previously direct from Fender for my Fender jazz bass (Player Series), and it is really great. Used it weekly for several years so far, and it holds a strap, tuner, picks, and a couple of patch cords. I just ordered a second one for my other Fender bass (precision bass). Word of caution: don't use Goo Gone or Goof Off to remove sticker residue or wall paint scrapes because it pulls the black finish off of the case's outer plastic. (Not all the way, but it is obvious, and I would rather have just left the paint scrapes on the case.)

Great fit for p bass or jazz. Nice case, like the compartment you can put stuff in it and not worry about it sliding around with the cover! I like that you can have a few and they stack together with the anti slide.

Protects my Jazz bass with a nice snug fit. Good storage compartment that has plenty of room for my various junk, including a Zoom H6 recorder with a mini tripod- nice and roomy.

Fits my Lakland Skyline Deluxe 55-02 just fine. Of course, the molded body area isn't the exact shape but it is mostly fitting and holds the bass well so it doesn't move around. I'm keeping this case and after much research I think it's the best hard case out there for my Lakland Skyline.

The Fender Deluxe molded Bass Case is a quality case. It is the ultimate protection for your Fender Bass. Its shell is nice to look at and when you open it you see how perfectly the inside of the case is designed. You have a compartment for you other items such as your guitar strap, tuner, cleaning items and misc. stuff. The cost is well with the product that will protect and store your playing investment.

Awesome case, well built, easy-open buckles, great padding, light weight. You get what you pay for.

I love this style because it's fits my vintage 1980's Squier Japanese Jazz bass AND modern Fender Precision bass. Fits the instruments like a glove! Large internal pocket for accessories also a win win. I like it so much that I purchased two.

This case looks great. However, the quality of this thing surprised me.

The plastic on the top seems so flimsy that it feels as if I could punch right through it. It dents in with slight pressure. The molding was loose enough to stick my finger and pull up on it in the front, as soon as I opened it.

I don't beleive the product was damaged, I believe it was made with cheap materials. You expect more from Fender.

Perfect case for my new Fender PJ. Fits securely and, once loaded is perfectly balanced at the handle. Plush interior and super tough exterior. Could have bought this at a few places on/line but no one gives me the confidence I have when interacting with Sweetwater. Real professionals.

During the past 2 years, I have amassed a decent grouping of Fender Bass Guitars. Some of these basses were accompanied with this case, some were supplied with the Soft Gig Bags and others that were purchased didn't come with any kind of storage or protection at all. After trying a Plethora of other Bass Cassese, for my needs, this is as Good as it gets. Storage, Stacking, Traveling, Protection, This case checks ALL the boxes. Add the D'Addario Humidipak and Pouch Two-Way Humidification System to each and "WALA". Give Joel Perfetti a bump @ Sweetwater and allow him to Hook You Up. I Rest My Case.

Not a lot to say, seems sturdy, well made and well padded. It's not a rugged as a flight case, not water tight, but for a storage case it seems good. I think you are paying more for the 'branding' but there are cheaper
options if you don't care about that.

It arrived in perfect condition and my bass looks amazing in it..

This case was chosen as a base for a 12 string electric guitar that needed clearance for a 14" lower bout and near 10" of headstock. The Epiphone Explorer case was an out of the box option but I'm not a big fan of open body cases. No points were deducted from my rating for needing to be modified for my individual use case.

The bottom half of the case is held in by two screws and a couple lines of glue with the top half held in with only glue. The crushed velvet was only partially pulled back to make setting it back in place easier. In order to fit the Electric XII, the foam supporting the horns was shortened, the neck pocket was extended to accommodate the neckplate's location, a trench was dug for the strap button, and the lower bout was slightly widened. An electric knife would have made for a cleaner result, but you can't see anything under the velvet anyway. The big change was relocating the neck support bridge several inches down into the accessory pocket to accommodate the shorter guitar scale length. The base for that was easily built up with slices of removed foam for foundation, the plastic pocket lid was cut to fit, and all velvet set back into place with styrofoam-safe glue. Most changes were mirrored on the top half of the case at a much shallower depth and glued back into place.

So why the low rating? This case is a fine option for light travel like the back of your car, but beyond that I wouldn't trust traveling with this case at all. The plastic is fairly thin, which is made more obvious when the foam is removed and you see how much it relies on it for stiffness. Lift one edge of the lid and the other side droops quite a bit for how light the thing is. It would be a joke to pry this open; it really wouldn't have killed them to place two lockable latches on this case instead of only one in the center. Adding a couple channels for padlocks would have been nice, which isn't an outrageous ask for a rectangular case at this price point either. Even before modification, I was concerned with how thin the foam was between case and instrument. For a case billed for travel safety I just expected a sturdier unit, so I'll be sticking with SKB and Pelican when instruments actually need to fly through the air. I only wanted to replace a gig bag for indoor storage so this Fender case fits the bill, but I would go with something else if you need actual luggage that won't make you nervous to be separated from.

Love this case from Fender. It was just what I was looking for. Fits my Fender Jazz Bass perfectly. Probably will never fly with it on a plane but if I do at least I'll have a TSA approved case. Thanks to Sweetwater for being a great company and a thanks to Jim Watson for his great service.

I really like this case a lot, as it fits my Bass so snug and perfectly. The outer shell is very sturdy, while the interior is very plush and soft, no marking of the Bass with this case at all! The latches are extremely easy to open and close which I really like, but not easily opened if you get my meaning, they just work great and smoothly. I also like the inner compartment as well, very roomy. I like the locking TSA latch and only wish one more of the latches had this locking mechanism, hence my 1/2 star reduction, as this is a big case and really should have another "lock". Other than that it's a fantastic case and well worth the money to protect any Axe that will fit for sure, a must have!

I have had two of these cases. The first one came with a Fender Elite bass. When FedEx delivered it I noticed the box and a corner of the case was busted. The second one came back after sending the bass back for repairs not related to the first incident and came back with one of the plastic feet busted and jammed up inside the case. I will give the cases credit the guitar was unharmed in both incidents, but for what is supposed to be a TSA case it is not worth the money. The plastic is thin and flimsy and for the most part the guitar is only protected by a thin amount of Styrofoam. My old school Fender cases are pushing 20+ years old and not a single crack or problem with any of them.

Even though this case costs more than my bass I really love my bass and this is the best way to keep it like it is. I have always liked Fender cases, back in the 60's my Mustang Bass came with a standard caSE AND IT KEPT MY mUSTANMG LOOKING GOOD

Best case out there. Fits my squire PJ like a glove. No more sliding around and the lining Is nice and plush.
Over all I'm very happy with it.
The latches on the case stay closed and can't be accidentally opened.

Guitar and case are a perfect match and just the sense of security. SEVERAL TIMES....I've witness guitars and closing doors DON'T get along! OUCH!

If you care about your equipment. you spend the money to maintain, clean, store, and travel with your investment. I personally don't care for soft Gig Bags. ( I don't think they offer the protection that a hard shell case does ) Also, I'm OLD SCHOOL. This is my second case and i will store and travel with All my basses in these cases. This is an excellent case, as advertised. I really wish my Acoustasonic Telecaster fit into it, and I was disappointed to discover that the Acoustasonic has a slightly larger body than a standard Tele. You could force it into the case if you wanted to, but you'd have to cut out foam to make room for the strap buttons and it's obvious it really doesn't want to go in.

I talked to Fender about it and the tech said the classic series wooden cases will work but the fit is snug, so I'm going with one of those.

Have this for my American Deluxe and it has two giant cracks now from simple handling. No accidents, no nothing. I simply put the bass in my backseat and heard a crunching sound. At first I thought it was the side cup holders....nope. Giant crack on the side. There seriously was zero pressure applied. Get the tweed or classic one. This one looks sleeker and more modern but it won’t last.

My most recent purchase was a Fender deluxe molded bass guitar case. It is well made and will protect my P-bass. I guess we look for cases to protect our precious guitars. Cases we can be assured will do the job 100%. In my hall way is a Fender Pro Series Tweed G & G Case ready for shipping back to shop. I will never use one. The build quality is just not there for me. In this case, it definitely is. I feel at complete ease this case is an excellent choice for what I put in it. TSA lock is a good idea too. Sturdy, not way too heavy, nicely balanced and a cool space under the neck. Well worth the money....

Needed a case for a Jazz Bass. Thought about a vintage style or gig bag. But I need to get on a plane once in a while so I looked for a road-worthy case. This case is totally killer. It"s light, balanced, the inside is awesome, fits my bass perfectly and is tough as tough. For the price, totally unbeatable. Been playing, gigging, touring and traveling for a long time and best case I"ve ever had. Promptly got one for guitar as well. 100% recommend.

This is a very sturdy black plastic case with a soft gray interior liner, and fits my Squier VM '70s Jazz Bass so snugly that the strap has to be removed from the guitar. Hard to see in the photo, but there is a storage area large enough to store the strap, along with a few accessories such as a cable and extra strings. The case is designed for a right-handed guitar, but the area around the headstock is cut larger than it has to be. This allows a bit more room for storing small items such as a clip-on tuner. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase, and would recommend this case to others.

Very sturdy case. Fits my Player series Jazz Bass like it was made for it. Very roomy compartment for cable/strap storage, which is useful since the bass fits so snugly that you'll want to remove the strap when storing the bass.

We are amazed that first of all the case was delivered the day after we ordered it! We were a bit concerned because my son has a 1986 Fender Precision Bass Plus. It is made just a little different than the newer ones. The guy on the phone told me that we could possibly adapt the foam lining in the case to adapt to the longer horn on my son"sbass. This we did with a hammer quite easily, and his guitar fits perfectly now. Thanks to all of the team who took such good care of us ! By the way, this case is very well built and has a lot of storage, which my son likes. It really looks good!

The Fender Jazz Bass fits in this case like a glove and it's more than well protected, I would recommend this case to anyone.

This case is a little heavy to carry around, but then again, so is the guitar that goes in it! I have no regrets in purchasing the molded case; I am always confident that my bass is safe inside! Has a nice storage space that's big enough to hold my tuner, extra batteries, and even a cable or two!

This case is perfect. The handle feels very nice, and the case stands on its side and doesn't seem like it wants to tip over by itself. My P Bass doesn't move inside this case at all during transport. The inside compartment is quite large as well. I put my rolled up strap in there and it only takes up about 20% of the inside. Could probably fit several of the "mini" pedals in there. Perfect case. Lots of room, very sturdy and well built. If you're questioning whether or not to spend this much on a case, question yourself no more, take my word for it and buy it. You won't regret it. I think i could probably throw my bass out a second story window and it'd survive

This is a perfect case for any Jazz bass or P bass. They both fit perfectly, even the 5 string basses. When I am not playing I always feel at ease when my Jazz bass is secure in this case.
The materials used for the inside hug my bass and keep it from rattling around. The exterior of the case is very rugged and secure.

Received this as Christmas present to replace the original case that came with my 2012 Am Stnd P5. This one seems to be made a little better.
Interior is very nice and the storage pocket has more than enough room for my strap, body pack, and polishing cloth. The bass fits snug and I can feel no movement inside when transporting. The neck is supported very well.
Latches work easily and stay latched. The feet are positioned where the case stands firmly on it's own.
I also tried out my Jazz bass in this case and it fits snug as well. I would definitely recommend this case to both Precision and Jazz owners.

I have a Fender Jaguar bass (MIJ), and I had to modify the interior foam on this case to get it to fit properly. Once I did that, it fit nice and snug and the case seems sturdy and solid. Not quite as heavy duty as those SKB injection molded cases, but also not as pricey... It's been on one tour so far, and we didn't have any issues with it.

For 20 years I carried my American Deluxe Jazz bass in an SKB-44 case, which worked well but now my bass fits much better in this case. When carring it I can't fell the bass moving around like in the SKB case. Nice large storage area which holes my tuner, wide leather strap, 20 ft cable, and a couple of extra 9 volt batteries. The latches release easily and are secure when closed. The inside material is rich looking, eye catching. If you have a Fender Jazz or P- Bass, pick up one of these cases, you well be very pleased. Kudos to Fender for offering a good road worthy case.

Fit my P Bass perfectly. Very sturdy and stands on its own without leaning against anything. Large interior pocket which is the main reason I purchased it. This case will not disappoint.
