I bought a Genuine Fender Tortoise Shell pickguard to replace the original one on my Telecaster. What I received had no resemblance to my original pickguard. The pickuard recived resembled was a cheap imitation, more like a the photo of Tortoise Shell glued on the pickguard. No depth with the lighter brown parts few and far between. A serious disappointment and to top it off, Sweetwater is charging me a $10 return as the product is not considered defective, just not up to my liking. Buyer be aware!

I bought this for my 1990 Telecaster , It arrived in perfect condition. The quality, details and the fit was all perfect. I would definitely recommend it.

My 2023 Ultra Telecaster is a beautiful guitar, but the Mint Pickguard just didn't do it for me. This Tortoise Shell was just the answer. Measured the height of the neck pickup and then swapping out was breeze. As usual SW service was awesome, my rep, Andy Huot called to check that I was satisfied with this small purchase. Perfect fit and a cool look for my black Tele. Easy install.

Looks fantastic on my Olympic White Tele and was just what was needed to dress everything up a bit. The plain white on white from Factory was a bit boring! Easy to install for the most part and looks great on this guitar.

My MIM Tele has 22 frets. This guard did not fit mine. But it looks great

Original Fender Parts at a great price...the fit is perfect,all the holes line up and the pickguard fits snugly everywhere it should.Looks really nice against the Polar white body,gives it a touch of elegance.The build is not completed yet as I am still gathering parts,but my Dreamcaster is getting closer,thanks to the great deals I get from Jake and Sweetwater!

Fender doesn't make any product seemingly modest feel cheap to pickguards , guitars ,amps, and all accessories in which sweetwater offers fender is a great American tradition around 1954 I believe they are great guitar and tradition for all types of class of players from beginner to professional just face it they'll build what you want and you guys carry it or DYI or just great piece of instruments for types and styles of players ,thanks Tim Bielski.

Looks great on my 60th anniversery sunburst Tele. No problems.

Replaced the 20 plus year old shrunken, peeling WD tortoise shell pickguard,which didn't fit properly, with a quality Fender pickguard!

It's exactly what I wanted for my Telecaster.

I received the pick guard in two days and took it over to my guitar tech because it required to take the neck pickup out and I don't have the experience to do that kind of adjustment. Anyway, Ryan called me to clear up a small matter and he took care of it right away. Prices at Sweetwater are very competitive with other online music stores and many times less expensive than brick & mortar stores. A friend of mine purchased some equipment from your store in Indiana and was impressed with the whole facility. Sometimes I get to travel in your location so maybe stop in and check everything out.

I put this, along with the DiMarzio Twang King neck & bridge pups on this Squier (a gift), and I think it really makes the Classic Vibe Tele look more classic. This pickguard is predrilled for height-adjusting screws for the neck pup, while the stock piece isn't (the stock neck pup is screwed into the pup rout). So, not only does it improve the looks, it allows for height adjusting at the neck, which works well with the DiMarzio 172 pup, which comes with the necessary screws. All in all, a good investment, for me at least.
