This amp is really great it's perfect for practicing I even take it with me when I wanna listen to music on the road thru the Bluetooth connectivity

Out of the box the product feels nice and the build quality seems solid. The tones, app, etc. all work how youʻve seen on Youtube and endless reviews, so if youʻre just looking to play youʻll be fine. However, if youʻre looking to record to a computer AND you use a newer Mac youʻll soon be frustrated as I (and many others) are currently. Want to record to a Mac? Cool, you need a firmware updated.
Oh, wait, your BT enabled hardware canʻt do OTA updates? OK, cool, Iʻll download your firmware updated to my desktop computer.

PLOT TWIST: the firmware wonʻt open post-install and youʻll just get a "You can't open the application "Spark MINI Firmware Updater" because it is not responding." message.

Wish Iʻd saved the box as this would be going back tomorrow if so.

first off, this thing is disgustingly great. It looks small, but the sound of this thing feels huge. I mostly play Metal and bought this Spark Mini purely for portability, something I can just put on the coffee table and jam on. The chunk that you can get out of this thing is very refreshing. If you are doubting it, stop yourself, this thing CHUGS. If you're looking for something that you can take anywhere with you, that you don't have to plug into the wall, and still have it sound like you're playing a 50w combo, this is it. I'm very happy with this amp, the Bluetooth connected instantly, the app is a pleasure to control, it's basically everything you need to practice wherever you want. if you're on the fence about it, BUY IT! Also, it's built like a tank, it just feels like a premium product.

Had lot's of amps over my 46 years of playing. But this little amp is a game changer. NOW...there are absolutely no excuses not to practice! This thing sounds great at NON_DEAFENING levels. C'mon we all wanna pick up our guitar sometimes and just let it rip! But that can be difficult without jacking up the neighbors. Well now you can! My phone connects seamlessly, and the amp is very simple to navigate through. Lots of amps & effects to choose from. Great little amp! Shout out to josh Pippen for being a great resource & Sweetwater for picking up Positive Grid and getting this out there.

Let's face it we all struggle finding a room our family or roommates allow us to have let alone ina shared room. This amp fits the spaces they would prefer us to not have a full size amp in. Easy purchase.

Bought this to use in my townhouse so I wouldn't disturb my neighbors (haven't plugged in my Blues Junior since I moved in). Really impressed with how good this sounds. And that's just the factory pre-sets. Haven't had a chance to play around with downloading custom settings yet but I'm looking forward to trying out some of the acoustic amps in the app with my new Gibson 50's LG-2.

This little amp ROCKS! It's a very versatile plus amazingly loud for such a small amp. Puts out plenty of tone whether it be Rock, Jazz, Blues, last but not least, Country. This little amp is a perfect fit for any style of music and also perfect for on the go practicing at home or on the fly. I highly recommend this little tone monster. Bonus it can be used with your phone device and with the Spark App it opens up a whole other world for your guitar pleasures. It's a must have in your Amp Arsenal.

Initially I purchased the 40 and the GO. Both nice amps, but the mini bridges the gap. Rechargeable battery, and louder than the GO. I should have just went mini from the start.

Of course, 3 of those stars are for the App! It's WAY cool...especially the ability to directly access on-line video to play in the app through the Spark Mini using bluetooth while you play along. It also has software that tries to figure out the chords from the video -- does a fair job if you can ignore the stray bad guess - Trust Your Ears. It's a fun way to learn new songs.

I had an issue trying to figure out the APP - got myself into a cul-de-sac that operator ignorance couldn't solve. Ryan at Positive Grid gave me the (right) answer within 24 hours.

Alas, the first Mini I received had a blown speaker out of the box. My Sweetwater "guy" Billy Germano and the replacement team shipped a new one almost immediately. Then the fun began!

I'm toying with the idea of getting a Spark Cab to go with it... he-he.

There are three good reasons to get this amp: extreme portability, the treblyest screamer distortion, and broad tonal range for its size. The size of the speakers is at times a downside, though. If you have an ES335/9/Casino type guitar and like the low end thump, low volume. But mostly it can get pretty loud in the mids and high frequencies. It's extremely directional and requires a flat surface to make the reflex work. Since it has only Volume and Preset knobs, you're going to spend way too much time fussing with a phone or tablet and bluetooth. My rating assumes an overriding need for a surprising range of sound in an extraordinarily mobile package. If you don't absolutely need those things, pass on this. If, like me, you'd rather play your instrument than spend half your life messing around with your phone, pass on this.

I bought this to use with my bass. The app doesn't have a whole lot for bass guitar. But it's still great for portable practice. I can take it with me anywhere and even plug in headphones if I need to be quiet.

Nice small amp. lots of sounds available with download of app. I wish there were more instructions with it, and easier to access the app. I like that it can blue tooth pair with my iPhone or iPad.

Best portable practice amp. Perfect for guitar. Not good enough for bass through. Unless using good headphones.

I call it my back up band! Loads of fun when traveling just the right amount of volume and function. You can get some cool tones out of it. Sometimes it freezes so you just let the battery run out, recharge and then your back in business. This happened to me about 4 times in a year of practicing at least five times a week all year.

This little cube is sick!! I love it. It does everything it says it will do. Looks awesome and is a solid built piece of equipment. I found it easy to setup and hooking up the Blue tooth. The speakers sound very good if using it in a small room. It also sounds really good using to play tunes from Spotify.too. The effects are good. I would recommend this piece of gear for any one looking for a small practice amp learning tool. I also love the fact that it is battery powered. Go buy it.

Amazing the sound this small package produces. Not only does it look great, but its very functional with a lot of extras you don't get from most amps. Easy to use and operate. Light and portable with a long battery life. You will not be disappointed.

This amp surprised me! A great little amp. Love the customizable grill! It sounds way better than expected and can be a valuable tool for those looking to learn or improve their playing.
Not to mention it has impressed a few colleagues of mine with the various sounds I can get through the app.

I recently became a dad, so firing up even my small tube Marshall isn't plausible most of the time. The Spark Mini is a great little practice amp that allows me to quietly play electric without waking up the kid. The tones, though they require some tweaking, are pretty good, being able to play along to music through the same speaker is easy, and the music looping (for learning) is really solid. Overall, I'm glad I bought it.

What an outstanding product! I'm a big tube head but this little amp is so much fun to have around the house. Cheers to the Positive Grid Engineers!

All the sounds you need from this little fella. Great for beginners who want to learn as well as the seasoned veteran. Getting the footswitch next.

This amp is prefect for playing in Hotel rooms. It sounds great at low volume and higher if need be.

Got this for my daughter and her electric ukelae. I tried it with my Les Paul just to see how it sounded. It does not have the volume and punch as shown in their videos. It is great for my daughter to practice with but don't be fooled by Positive Grids videos, it doesn't have the punch they are showing. Would be great great for a beginer who can't crank up to loud and wants some portability.

I frequently have power issues when to many things are plugged up so the rechargeable feature is awesome. I have put all my amps in storage till we can get our house built, no worries with the spark. The little thing sounds amazing! Not a 1x12 but, I think most will be surprised with the quality of sound. Download the spark app and your off. I use the backing tracks. They are in lots of keys, shows you the chords and changes and can show you an area to noodle in lol. The different amps all sound great. You can find a tone to get ya going. I also bought the jimi Hendrix pack for 19 bucks...WOW! I recommend it if your a fan of his music or sound. Check this little amp out. Glad I did!
