The PC1X is an affordable performance controller with unbelievable sounds straight from Kurzweil's finest sound libraries. With 88 fully weighted keys and over 500 onboard sounds, the PC1X is a "players" instrument. But don't get the impression that it's stuffy, it's got more effects than you can shake a stick at and with a fully programmable arpeggiator, the PC1X is definitely not your father's keyboard.
512 factory-programmed sounds
The PC1X offers 64-voice polyphony with balanced type stereo analog outputs. There are 384 factory programs and 128 GM programs including Kurzweil's stereo triple-strike Grand Piano, Rhodes and Wurlitzer electric pianos, stereo strings, brass, Take 6 vocal samples and a whole lot more! In addition, the PC1X's Orchestral ROM offers some of the finest String Solos & Sections, Woodwinds, Choir and more. There's also room for one Sound ROM expansion card for an additional 16 MB of ROM sounds.
Fully weighted piano action plus programmable controllers
Not just a great sounding performance piano, the PC1X has a fully-weighted 88-key piano action that players will find very comfortable. It offers aftertouch and programmable velocity sensitivity. You'll find the usual Kurzweil array of physical controllers on the PC1X - Pitch Wheel, Mod Wheel, continuous and switch pedal jacks, front panel buttons and knobs and the ever-useful ribbon controller. They're all fully programmable. As a serious MIDI sequencing tool, the PC1X is well-equipped to receive MIDI from other instruments or external MIDI sources.
More than 150 built-in effects
To complement the ROM sounds, there are over 150 multiple effects and 30 reverbs. You can apply the effects to programs or setups, and you can easily control the Wet/Dry mix in real time. You can also program the multi-effects and reverbs for even more control in performance and recording.
