Brilliant Guitar
This is the perfect guitar for the price. This concert sized Ibanez PC15 is the best bargain for the buck. Wonderful projection, even tone, and well put together and great woods. Very, very versatile. The fact that it comes with neck binding is the icing on the cake. Hope they build these suckers forever. Top notch.
HOW DO THEY DO IT?
Having bought this guitar for a student, I was not surprised by the BANG-FOR-THE-BUCK delivered, as usual, by IBANEZ! Craftsmanship, comfort, TONE, solid tuning, beauty: how does IBANEZ get this thing all the way from China, thru Customs, to the wholesalers, retailers; and, finally, to the end- user (via free shipping)? With gorgeous walnut (back, sides, and neck), spruce top, and attractive binding (body & neck); this instrument, if taken care of, could live to be a family heirloom. Never, ever, been disappointed with IBANEZ!
Thanks also to SWEETWATER!
Best bang for buck!
I defy any other manufacturer to deliver a $... guitar as good as this one. As a 70-yr-old, also-ran musician with health issues, I donated all my guitars (except my Precision), amps, and equipment to the needy. Then things developed, such that, I needed a six-string to give lessons to my aspiring son-in-law.
Not wanting to spend a lotta do-re-mi, I naturally, from experience, turned to Ibanez for the best bang for my buck: I was not disappointed.
Great tone and playability! Looks and finish are impeccable, except for where the binding meets the rosewood fingerboard (looks like specks of stain all along the binding). Still, the guitar suits my purposes; and, since I have already bonded with the thing, I'll not fuss with Sweetwater about it.
A GREAT VALUE FROM IBANEZ, as always!
Ps I do not see the discrepancy I spoke of in the photographs, so don't be afraid to order one. Mine was just a fluke, I'm certain: a detail overlooked by the Sweetwater people; but I still love it!
No Setup?
I bought this guitar for a new guitar player. When it arrived at his house, he couldn't play it. I asked him what was wrong and he said that the strings were on top of the frets. So, because of this, I had to pay another $70 for setup locally. I'm not sure if I believe that Sweetwater is being very honest about every every instrument going through a "55 point inspection." If this is the result, then you may want to revisit how you do things. Truly disappointed.
