Excellent Starter Pack
I purchased this starter pack for myself. I am 58 and just starting my journey. This starter pack contained everything I needed to get started playing bass. The feel and sound are better than I had anticipated. As I mentioned, I am new and not a seasoned veteran, so take that for what it's worth. With that said, I am giving you a review from an unbiased newbie. If you're looking to get started in playing bass and have little to no experience, I highly recommend this starter pack. I don't believe you will be disappointed with the sound, feel, or price. Thank you Sweetwater and happy playing fellow newbie bass players.

Great starter bass for anyone just learning
An emotional reunion
I got my bass guitar stolen from my vehicle when I was 19 years old. Left my BC Rich Beast in the back seat, and it seriously took the wind out of my sails. I never bothered to buy another guitar, other than a Ukelele to doodle around on. Here I am at age 30, connected with this incredible instrument. It felt SO right to get back in my hands. The bass has great tone, and the practice amp is enough for my current needs.
On the Sweetwater side, I got a phone call the day of (or after) I placed my order. Nick was the person I spoke with. Honestly he seemed like a chill guy just making sure I got the gear I needed. There was no aggressive upsell or attempt to lock me in further as a paying customer. Just some music lovers talking about the new set up.

Awesome beginning for a budding bass player
I ordered this package for my son for his 14 th birthday. I was a little hesitant about what the sound quality would be from a small speaker in a bass amp. My worries were totally unfounded. The setup on the bass was good we plugged it into the amp and it sounded great. My son is well on his way to learning how to play with a solid instrument and amp to get him going

Awful neck
Purchased for my son….it is awful. The neck is so curved, a truss rod correction does nothing to help. The strings are so far off the fret board. Don't buy this piece of junk, go for a more expensive bass that can at least be played.
