Combining some of nature's most durable materials, the Pangi Nut Shaker from Pearl is a unique percussion instrument that will add wonderful tone and loads of fun to any setup. The Pangi Shaker is made from 20 individually strung pangi nuts attached to a lightweight but durable rope handle. Native to Southeast Asia, walnut-sized pangi nuts make a robust, full tone when hollowed out, grouped together, and shaken. The rope handle on the Pangi Nut Shaker provides a wonderful gripping surface and because it is so lightweight, you can shake away the night without wearing yourself out — a feature percussionists here at Sweetwater really love.

These Disappointed...
To begin the sound of these was not natural at all. Instead they sounded plastic-like and small, not rich as you would expect. One possible reason is that, in person, they do not look like the photo. Instead they have a shiny fake almost polyurethane finish and that is how they sound. The red ropes also happen to look cheesy in person but the construction is good. There is a tag attached that warns of carcinogens ..under Prop 65 in California.
I sadly purchased two on sale here and they are not worth the postage to return.
